Steve Calderone was a very straightforward and low-pressure salesman. He provided a clear and competitive price in response to an internet request, including a pdf of the sticker to show exactly w low-pressure salesman. He provided a clear and competitive price in response to an internet request, including a pdf of the sticker to show exactly what was included. Did not attempt to include hidden costs that other dealers tried to add in. Dealership handled the sale very promptly. More
I'd been in the market for a new Mustang, and found the exact color/style/year that I was after at this dealership. I live in Dallas, so I called up and spoke with Damon. He gave me a great no-haggle price exact color/style/year that I was after at this dealership. I live in Dallas, so I called up and spoke with Damon. He gave me a great no-haggle price for the car I was after, and gave me a great deal on my trade-in. I drove down there, traded vehicles, and drove the new 'stang back home. Usually I despise new-car shopping, but this time it was painless. I got exactly what I wanted for the price he quoted me - no "bait and switch" like some folks have been known to do. Great experience! More
I had been looking for just the right truck for weeks. I went to several other Ford dealerships in Houston. I ended up back at Mac Haik because of Damon Mendel. He treated me with respect and never continuo went to several other Ford dealerships in Houston. I ended up back at Mac Haik because of Damon Mendel. He treated me with respect and never continuously harassed me with phone calls. He found me the exact truck I wanted and gave me an amazing price that no other dealer in Houston could beat. Roy with after market sales was really informative and helped me with all my questions. Even though I live close to an hour away, I chose Mac Haik because of the way Damon treated me and the patience he showed me when I asked a million question. My daughter will be ready to buy a new car within the year and we will once again travel the distance to see Damon as I know he will beat and other offer. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new car. Everyone was really great!!! Thanks Damon for my beautiful new truck. I love it so much!!! More
We bought our 2010 Focus almost three weeks ago at Mac Haik Ford from Damon Mendel and Randy Robison. After much internet searching and driving a friend's 2005 Focus, we had already decided to focus on t Haik Ford from Damon Mendel and Randy Robison. After much internet searching and driving a friend's 2005 Focus, we had already decided to focus on the Focus due to the features and price. Damon and Randy were very courteous and never tried to hassle or pressure us. The accessories and financial people gave their spiels but did not pressure us either. We will definitely consider getting our next new car there next time. More
Got a great used KING RANCH F150 with the assistance of David Mercado. He alerted me to a truck that met my specifications .. that it would be on the lot the following day. Arranged for a test drive, he answered all my questions & wrapped up the deal. Like the other reviewer, at time of sale they did NOT assume that I wanted all the optional offers the dealership had. This kept the final price low. More

Funny how when I get there (1020 mile trip) The price is exagerated and the sales person will not give the price that was advertised. (KING RANCH) but he could give me an XLT for the price that was advertised. I checked my blackberry to see how much other dealerships had the XLT and it was roughly 9k less than what this guy wanted to charge me. Con Artists at their very best my friends. So go and see for yourself and if you get conned, dont say we never told you so. More
All they did was talk negative about the other dealer I was working with because they could not beat the or even meet the deal. They promised not to waste my time and said they "promised" to beat the dea was working with because they could not beat the or even meet the deal. They promised not to waste my time and said they "promised" to beat the deal if I came down there with my 7-month pregnant wife (yes, I explain her situtation) and they bored us for an hour and then said they could not do it. I heard about how they used to work at the other dealer and they are no good. Sounds like they have a personnal mission and want thier customer to be part of it. They will never give you anything in writing, they do not communicate well and they were just hard to work with. I think they sell a lot of cars because of thier location. Go see Paul Solomon at Champion Ford on the Gulf Freeway. Thier dealership is not as fantasy or anything but they are wanting to sell Fords. Whatever Paul did Mac Haik couldn't touch it. More
This review is specifically for the Mac Haik Ford dealership off of the Katy Freeway inside the Beltway. I don't know how Dealer Rater missed it and is just listing Mac Haik in Georgetown. Basica dealership off of the Katy Freeway inside the Beltway. I don't know how Dealer Rater missed it and is just listing Mac Haik in Georgetown. Basically, I was in the market for a new truck and called numerous dealers around the state and even in neighboring states after viewing their new inventory online. After reading the reviews here, several people mentioned Damon Mendel was helpful, friendly and honest with the pricing he gave over the phone. So, I gave Mac Haik Ford in Houston a call even though I live in San Antonio. I asked to speak with Damon and told him the specific truck on his lot that I was interested in. He let me off the phone to investigate what it could be sold for and promptly called me no more than five minutes later (I honestly think it was closer to about 2.5 minutes, but you get the idea). After agreeing to a price, he immediately went to his lot, pulled the truck and put it in back to ensure no other customer/salesman would grab it. As I said before, I do live in San Antonio and one does not exactly go to Houston to car shop "just to look around". The next morning, the family drove up to Houston to visit Damon where he immediately greeted us and we began the paperwork for the truck. Everything about the truck was great and Damon certainly worked hard on his part to ensure that it was worth our time to drive about 200 miles to Houston to business with him and his dealership. At the end of the day, if you're shopping for a Ford whether you're in Houston, San Antonio, DFW, Austin, or any of the hundreds of surrounding towns in Texas, I would certainly take a few minutes to look up what Mac Haik has and see what Damon can work out for you. Like all businesses, there may be times Mac Haik isn't the best deal as inventories and markets fluctuate daily. It's the nature of the beast. But, this is the first American car our family has bought in 30+ years, we will certainly give Damon a call to see what he can do for us if we're ever looking to purchase a new Ford again. I would certainly recommend him to all family/friends looking to buy a Ford in Texas. More
Paul Kimberlin, the salesman was one of the best. Very knowledgeable and no pressure. He answered our questions and took good care of us. I could not recommend him any higher. My problems with Mac H knowledgeable and no pressure. He answered our questions and took good care of us. I could not recommend him any higher. My problems with Mac Haik came from the financing side. They handed me a loan agreement without discussing the terms or the interest rate. Considering I put 1/3 down on my car, the interest rate was way too high. When I complained, they quickly dropped the rate by 1.5%. I traded in a car that had equity. Mac Haik had a payoff amount in my contract that was not correct. The payout amount was less than I owed, so they overcharged me. I did not know this until a couple days after signing the loan agreement. Since I just purchased my car, I don't know how easy it will be to get a refund. My advice if you buy from Mac Haik...... Definitely work with Paul Kimberlin and when you get to the finance part, read and question everything. They will include charges in your agreement without mentioning them to you. YOU HAVE TO READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY. Let's just say the finance group wasn't looking out for my interest. They were more interested in squeezing out a little more profit. More
