Terrible Service Center, Vehicle Was Not Fixed Quite disappointed the the actual service I received from Mac Haik's Service center. I took my 2012 Ford Escape into the dealership to have my transmi Quite disappointed the the actual service I received from Mac Haik's Service center. I took my 2012 Ford Escape into the dealership to have my transmission looked at, as it was leaking and slipping in-between gears. I bought Certified pre-owned, so I had a 7 Year or 100,000 mile power-train protection. After having my vehicle for a day I received a phone call from the Service center and was informed that nothing was wrong and I could come back and pay the $99 diagnostic fee and get my vehicle back. After arguing with the representative and informing him I have the fluid leaking on my garage as proof there is a leak and two other shops (A specialized Transmission shop, and the shop where the inspection was recently done) both informed me there was a leak and both had to put transmission fluid in it , the Mac Haik employee then told me he would go back and have his tech re check it out. Sure enough, 2 hours later I was called back to be told that I did in fact have a leak and that they would need to order a part to get the leak fixed. I tried to escalate the situation, called Ford's Customer service line and asked for the General Manager of the Service centers, but to my surprise, I was informed the only want to reach him was by written mail, which would take a couples weeks round trip. I then was informed I could speak to the manager at the actual service center I took the vehicle to, which I did. He informed me that the employee that called to let me know the vehicle had absolutely nothing wrong with it had "jumped the gun" on calling me. To my surprise though, had I not argued with the employee on the phone, I would've just gone and paid $99 for a diagnostic fee for absolutely nothing. I've now had my vehicle back for 4 days, and I am not surprised at all that it is still slipping in-between different gears. I advised the Service Center's manager that I wasn't overly convinced everything would be taken care of to the highest of standards due to how it was initially handled, but he tried to reassure me everything was going to be fine. Now, I paid $100 to have the leak "fixed" but my vehicle is still slipping in-between gears while driving. My Pre-owned Warranty will be up in a month at this point and I'm going to have to take it elsewhere and pay yet another deductible to have it looked at with another Ford Dealership. More
