Car was not fixed properly and car had to be towed I had my car serviced because my mini countryman was sputtering when I accelerated. I was informed it was bad gas and that the fuel lines were clean I had my car serviced because my mini countryman was sputtering when I accelerated. I was informed it was bad gas and that the fuel lines were cleaned and it was good to go. The next day we started on our trip to NC, 5 hours into the trip the engine light came on and the car went down to half power. We could not continue, had to pull off the highway, rent a motel room, rent a car and make arrangements to have the mini towed. The mini was towed to Flow Mini in Winston Salem. The service man said the spark plugs were all worn and should have been the first thing checked at Otto's. The spark plugs were all replaced. I learned this when I received a phone call regarding the service needed. I was in shock when I heard about all of the repairs needed and even asked about my warranty but was told it had expired. It wasn’t until Preston named the year of the car that I realized this was an error. I said that I didn’t have a Mini that was that old. After a few minutes of going back and forth about who I was and the model and year of my car Preston acknowledged the mix up. He apologized and said things would get straightened out. About an hour later he called and had information about my car. At this point I thought everything was fine. I received a text around 2:30 or so that my car was ready. I left my place of employment and went directly to Ottos. I didn’t stop at home to feed the dog and let him out. When I arrived there seemed to be some confusion. Preston told me that my car was not ready. Obviously the text was for this other person but my car was in the car wash. When I gasped, Preston said the car was in line for the car wash. Thirty minutes later, I was told my car was ready. When I walked out to the car I noticed it was not washed. There was dirt on the back of my car. It had not been washed. I was speechless and on the verge of tears. It had not been the best day at work and this was the icing on the cake. Someone walked by me and asked if I was okay and I told him to find Preston. Within minutes Preston came running and saw the condition of the car. He apologized and took the car himself to be washed. Fifteen minutes later the car was back and I left still in a daze. More
Fixed it right the second time I appreciated squeezing my car in as a rush repair, since the problem was related to the work just done (rotate and balance tires; align wheels). While the car was aligned, there was clearly a significant problem with the left front wheel. They gave me a loaner, squeezed me into the schedule, and corrected the problem - sort of. Since you are going to read this Preston, I'll say the car is no longer in alignment - it pulls right. But I'm about to go on vacation and can't deal with this right now. Maybe when I get back? I really appreciate how courteous you are and that you treat me well even though the car is so old. More
Outstandin Ottos mini is excellent in customer service. Everyone is friendly, efficient and accommodating. I've owned 2 BMWs over t Preston Jackson is a breath of fresh air at Otto's BMW - apparently bringing in the Otto's Mini crew was the best decision... I've owned 2 BMWs over the past 6 years and every time I visited the dealership it was like pulling my hair out to get in and out. ALWAYS A STRUGGLE. I purchased my Mini about a year ago and this was my first time bringing it in for service. Dropping it off was a pleasure, Preston came right out to meet me and review what I needed. I was in and out in 3 1/2 minutes. He gave me regular updates on the service and conveniently text me when it was ready to be picked up. When I arrived to pick it up, I was escorted in to pay for the service and before I could get out the door, my car was sitting there ready to go. AMAZING. Thank you to whoever helped figure out how to orient the process toward the Customer at Otto's!!! Looking forward to my next visit. More
