I purchased my mini cooper in 2009 from Mini Cooper of Baltimore County. In November of 2010, I had to have my car serviced. I was advised that I had a bad clutch and that it was user error. The cost of this repair would have been devistating for me. The manager of Mini Cooper, of Baltimore County (Michael Coleman)came to my rescue. He helped me rectify my problem. He always made feel like a person and not like a number. His help was beyond comparison. I also delt with Claudia DeLeon in the service department. She always had a smile on her face and was always understanding and compassionate. If you are in the market for a Mini Cooper, I would strongly recommend Mini Cooper of Baltimore County. More
I had a problem with my clutch. Although the warantee period was expired by about 2000 miles, this dealer steped up and performed the necessary service and provided a loaner vehicle all at no cost to me period was expired by about 2000 miles, this dealer steped up and performed the necessary service and provided a loaner vehicle all at no cost to me as a goodwill gesture. The manager, Michael Colman called me personally after I had emailed him with my complaint and arranged for the repairs. He also called to see if the repairs were satisfactory to me. I have never experienced such fine service and obvious care for their customers as I experienced with this dealer. I should mention that all was done with utmost courtesy and professionalism. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to purchase a MINI work with this dealer. They truly understand that service after the sale is very important. More
Every time I take my car to Mini of Baltimore County both the auto service and customer service I receive are exemplary. Claudia has been especially helpful the last few times I've been in. Called service department and explained that I had a fluid leak - Claudia answered and suggested that I have the car towed in to be safe (for free). I did not feel that was necessary and did not have time to wait for the tow so I headed in. When I arrived I explained to Claudia that I had about 30 minutes before I needed to leave for an appointment and would prefer to wait to see if it was something simple so I would not have to return a loaner later in the day. After 25 minutes Claudia came to me and said she was sorry but they still could not find the leak and they would need to put me in a loaner. She had me out the door in 5 minutes and I was on to my appointment. I was very impressed that I did not have to remind her of my time constraint. In additionn to repairing the leak they also added a dye to my oil and advised a follow up visit so they could easily check to insure the problem was solved. As a final note, I also inquired about intalling a special accessory. After checking, Claudia said they did not have it but if I could obtain one on my own they would install it in about 30 minutes. I thought that was very fair and plan to have the part installed soon! More

First and foremost : Claudia Ever since I adopted my Mini Cooper S, I dealt with 1 Service Advisor (Rose) and thought that I would never deal with another one as fiendly and precise as her (and I've dealt with a couple). Then I had the pleasure of working with Claudia on one of Rose's days off.... I realized that there is anothe SA at Mini of Baltimore that is a pleasure to deal with and can be trusted. Since Rose left, I told Claudia that she's the only SA that I still trust and willingly deal with at Mini of Baltimore and the only SA that I know will treat my MCS with as much care and love as I do. Secondly : Terrence Terrence is the service manager and even though I did not like it at first, he actually refused to release my car to me until he was %120 percent sure that the problem was resolved. Thanks for being so tenacious Terrence. More
This was my first experience taking my Mini in for service. I was very pleased with the overall experience. It started with the dropoff area that was open and roomy. From there I was greeted by a friendly representative who quickly took my information, secured a loaner, and had me on my way. They contacted me when my car was ready and this was wround the time they had given me to expect it. When I returned to the dealer all my questions were answered and I felt extremely happy with everything that occured. I will continue to use them for service and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of service for their Mini. More
Although the sales process was positive, the same cannot be said for the first service visit. The microphone quality of the bluetooth system is very poor (thin hard to hear) and we wanted to see if there wa be said for the first service visit. The car was at the dealership for several days, with a loaner provided. Also- we wanted to have the free car "wash" which we were told was a service provided with a purchase from this dealer. When we picked up the car, we were told that the operation was "normal", and that the problem was with the fact that we were not using an "approved" phone. The "approved" phone list is ridiculously short compared to other auto manufacturers. We were also told that any problem with the Bluetooth unit due to using a non approved phone is not covered under warranty. The service manager gave me some bull about how different phones use different bluetooth "languages" and that the reason for the microphone problem problem is because we were using a non approved phone. We suggested that since he owned an "approved" phone, we should try his as a comparison. We appreciate that he agreed, but he did not know how to sync his own phone with the bluetooth unit of the car. One person in the service department told us that the bluetooth microphone problem can sometimes be improved by changing the microphone position. We asked for the service manager who told us that this was wrong information (changing the microphone position is in the owner's manual). And the wash was another disappointment. Truth in advertising would have called it a "rinse". There was still bug guts all over the front, and water drop spots all over the car because it had not been dried. In short, OK sales experience. First service experience was definately "over promise and under deliver". More
