I didn't purchase my MINI from this dealer because I didn't have any positive experiences with their sales staff. I ended up driving down to Alexandria to purchase my car from the AMAZING staff they hav didn't have any positive experiences with their sales staff. I ended up driving down to Alexandria to purchase my car from the AMAZING staff they have there. It's a shame that place is so far away, or I'd have my car serviced there as well. Since MINI of Baltimore County is so close to where I actually live, I have been coming here for service. Well, now I'm done. I'll happily drive to Annapolis to have my car serviced from now on. Last year I made an appointment to get an oil change. From the waiting area, it didn't seem to be very busy. There were only 2 other people waiting when I arrived at my scheduled time. I sat for two hours waiting and waiting. Finally my car was done. During that time no one came to tell me what the holdup was or offer any explanation as to why a scheduled oil change would take so long. The people who had been there when I arrived were long gone by this point. I let them know of my disappointment when they emailed me a follow up survey. Other than the super long wait, the service was fine. Last month my father decided to bite the bullet and have a bunch of extensive repairs he had been putting off finally taken care of. All in all, his trip to MINI of Baltimore County cost him over $7,000 and took nearly two weeks to be completed. At no time did they offer him a loaner vehicle. My father thought that since his car was out of warranty, he figured he wouldn't be able to get one so he was afraid to ask, not wanting to add even more to his bill. My dad had bonnet stripes added to his car while it was being worked on. It was only an extra $100 and he had wanted them for a long time. His car looks great and I decided to get some too. I just tried calling MINI of Baltimore County to make an appointment to have my oil changed, my front alignment checked and bonnet stripes added. The guy put me on hold to check the price of stripes and came back to tell me it would cost $398. I told him my father had stripes put on last month for $100 and that MINI sells the stripes alone for $60. He pulled up my father's invoice and told me that since his car was done at their body shop (located on Joppa Road), it was $100 but that they charge $398 since they have someone come out to install them on site. Is there a reason they couldn't recommend me to take my car to their body shop? Is there a reason they charge $300 more for labor (putting stickers on a car) at the dealer than they do at the body shop? I told them to cancel my appointment and I would take my car somewhere else. He asked me if I still wanted them to service the car and I told him no, I will take my car somewhere else. He actually asked, "Because of the price of our stripes?" Talk about terrible customer service. I've had better service at a Jiffy Lube. More
I bought my Mini used and I brought it to this dealership when my AC stopped working. It wasn't the most convenient location compared to my residence, but I wanted to make sure it was properly fixed. I made an appointment over the phone, and my service advisor, Allen, was incredibly friendly. The dealership itself is very clean, inviting, and I'd even call it 'fancy'. I waited in the comfortable lounge with complimentary drinks and TV. I was anxious waiting to hear about my car for an hour and a half. Finally, Allen told me what the problem was, how they would fix it, and costs relating to warranties on my car. It was the day before a holiday so I was given a loaner car while a part was ordered. Even after the repair, my work schedule forced me to keep the car an additional day (4 total) which wasn't an issue. I picked up my car with working AC, cleaned, and paid a reasonable fee. Also, as I was leaving Allen took the extra time to show me how to program my key within the car. I had such a wonderful experience I will absolutely return for my upcoming services. More

I was very pleased the service mgr took the extra step of calling MINI to see if they would replace the transmission even though out of warranty. It saved me $5,000. Plus, they were able to get me a loaner calling MINI to see if they would replace the transmission even though out of warranty. It saved me $5,000. Purchased my 2010 Clubman from Mini of Baltimore County in January 2011. Dave was a very friendly salesman, and somewhat knowledgeable (he was fairly new to selling Mini's). This was my very first Mini, an in January 2011. Dave was a very friendly salesman, and somewhat knowledgeable (he was fairly new to selling Mini's). This was my very first Mini, and I got a very good deal on my fairly loaded Clubman which has the New car warranty. Today I had to bring her in for a brake issue, I was greeted by Allen, who checked my Mini in and explained the whole process to me. After about an hour he came to tell me she was nearly finished, she would be washed and I could go. They replaced two rotors, under the warranty terms. While I waited, I chatted with my salesman, Dave, and the very friendly cashier, Sam. I had a "warm and fuzzy" experience. Beyond getting a nice deal on a car, a dealership is only as good as their service department, and this one is TOP NOTCH. I drive an hour to get there, but feel it is totally worth the trip. Their customer lounge is very pleasant and offers a variety of snacks and drinks. During my sale, Michael, the GM, was very informative, and Allison in financial was terrific. I feel this dealership will work very hard to keep their customers happy, and this will go a long way for me!!! More
