My service advisor Simon Loretto was both courteous and professional. He also had a great sense of humor. Made the interaction fun. I was from out of town and had to wait for the car to be serviced. Simon had the car cleaned and ready to go much earlier than expected. It was a great experience. More
This is my first customer review for any business or service I’ve patronized. Yes, my very first, that wasn’t a mistake. Unfortunately, my first review is not favorable nonetheless, I’m very proud to gi service I’ve patronized. Yes, my very first, that wasn’t a mistake. Unfortunately, my first review is not favorable nonetheless, I’m very proud to give these guys a one-star rating after having my time wasted by the finance team and salesman who acted as if I was presenting them with a check I presented in the garage. A few months ago, I decided to sell a bigger SUV we currently have and get something a little smaller that my wife felt more comfortable driving. After several weeks of searching for the best car for the best price, I came across a very attractive VW Touareg located at Mini of Stevens Creek. On 7/10 we arrived at mini and ended up being helped by a salesman named Greg who happened to be fairly new to the dealership according to him. I’ll spare you the details, but we drove the car and decided we wanted it, but as far as MINI is concerned I wanted to buy the car cash; however, it was 6k above what I had available at that very moment. I explained to Greg I would be back in a few days to purchase the car after I secured the balance of funds from my bank. He gave me a menu with the out the door price information and me and wifey were on our way. Three days later on 7/13 we returned with a bank check in one hand made out to me and MINI of Stevens Creek, and bank card in the other hand ready to get this deal done. Since a few days had passed I wanted to see a new menu because the price should be a few dollars less than the last price we were quoted. A few dollars cheaper it was, cool; let’s do this! Here you are Greg, this is a check from my bank made out to myself and MINI of Stevens Creek, you or your finance guy may not have seen this before so please have the finance manager start working on it because I have no intention to be here longer than an hour to close this deal. Also please let me know what the difference in cash will be to close the deal. It is important to note that along with the Navy Federal check there were a couple of other pages that contained the instruction to process the check. Greg shuffled over to the finance guys who I could see clearly by the way, and no longer than 1.5min later, yes, that fast, Greg returns with the check and a suspicious look on his face and says we can’t take this check. WHAT! The check is made out to MINI of Stevens Creek! Well, we've had other Navy Federal checks and it is supposed to have a code on it, GREG reading is fundamental, all those other papers I handed you with the check that you’re holding right now are the instructions on how to process the check. Tell your finance guy to do his job, read the instructions or call the bank and they will walk him through the process. Once again Greg shuffles away to the finance counter. This time he’s gone a little bit longer before he returns without the check and says we can’t take the check. What do you mean you can’t take the check? It is a valid bank check! Well, it doesn’t look like other Navy Federal checks we have seen before. Greg?! are you suggesting I printed the check in my garage?! Have your finance guy DO HIS JOB, call the bank, verify and get instructions on how to process the check. Greg responds that my finance manager is going to come over and talk to you and explain how it’s done. WHAT?! As I am thinking to myself (Dude I’ve bought three cars this way. I’m all too familiar with how this works, however, your 12yr old finance guys haven't worked or lived longer enough to have seen this before) Ok Greg are saying the finance guy(s) didn’t figure out how to collect the funds from the check? Greg goes on to say, well just wait until he gets here, he’ll explain it to you, we have to do things a certain way here. Look Greg, if you are suggesting that I wait for this guy to come over here to tell me in a different way that he’s too lazy to do his job and find out how to collect funds from a check made out to MINI you are sadly mistaken. No, no just give the guy a chance he says. So, I decided to wait a little longer; 3min to be exact, the finance guy never shows so I politely walked over to the finance counter and asked what’s the problem, have we figured this out or not? One guy says oh we sent it to the manger he’s looking at it, ok so where is the manager? Let me speak to him. Oh, he is working to verify the check he should be done soon. At this point I knew I wouldn’t pour water on the building if it were burning. I had long decided to take my money elsewhere but not before Mini of Stevens Creek ate crow and knew my money was good. About 5 to 10min later Greg walks up to me, puts the check on the desk and says I need you to sign here, and here. All the while I am thinking the xxxx you do!!!!! I immediately ask Greg, so we all know the check is good now, right? We all understand the check is good and the funds are available, correct? Yes, he replied. Greg, that is fantastic!! Because I’ve suddenly changed my mind and no longer want the vehicle. I think I will take my money to an organization that won’t treat me like I presented them with a fraudulent check because it happened to be a check that the kindergarteners who are here handling financing, hadn’t been living long enough to experience. Bad experience throughout the process. 1. Called 5+ times and emailed a couple times after made the reservation online, but never heard anything back. 2. I bought the extended warran 1. Called 5+ times and emailed a couple times after made the reservation online, but never heard anything back. 2. I bought the extended warranty 3 years ago which covered breaks replacement as well, but they denied the coverage on break at first. Luckily I still have the original agreement which clearly mentioned the breaks in the terms. After I showed the proof, they didn't respond until I went to their desk to check it. Then they said that the breaks were still at 70% so they could not replace them, while I was told that I could request breaks to be replaced at least once during the coverage period when I purchased the pricy ($2k) warranty. And in the final repair report, it said that the breaks were at 50%, not 70% at all. Obviously, they just tried everything they could to avoid their cost. 3. The final report also mentioned about a crack in the engine suspension which costs over $2k to repair. And they told me that it could be covered within the first 5yr. However, I recalled that last time I was also told about this issue verbally while it was still within the first 5yr of my mini, but the technician didn't tell me that it was covered at that time. 4. I was told about 3 hours waiting time upfront, but it took 5 hrs eventually without any notice in the middle until I asked about it. Won't recommend this shop, and please don't trust any extended warranty plan they try to sell you. More
I leased a 4 door hardtop mini 3 years ago and not only have i loved the car (and decided to keep it), but also the service was really excellent. They were always on time, did great work, explained when an have i loved the car (and decided to keep it), but also the service was really excellent. They were always on time, did great work, explained when and why my wheels needed to be changed, even only used soap and water to clean the interior bc of my allergies - and they were really nice. When a big part of your car experience is counting on the service, their quality and attention to customers means a lot. More

Not a good customer service, eve time I call to check on the status of my car, nobody answers and never return calls. When I’m at the dealer, nobody asks if I need any help. They are all together in one de the status of my car, nobody answers and never return calls. When I’m at the dealer, nobody asks if I need any help. They are all together in one desk just talking and laughing. When finally someone answered me, he didn’t know what was going on with my vehicle. And he said I’ll find out what’s going on and I’ll call you back. Not good More
