Very disappointed that my brake pads were not replaced under my extended warranty. They have 62,000 miles, are grinding and have corrosion. Scheduled an 11:15 appointment for service online earlier in the week. Arrived at 11:00, checked in with service advisor Jackson Callahan. He explained what my car needed. This was my first contact with South Shore Mini. Very courteous staff and generally very professional. That said, picking up my new Mini took from 9 am to 5:45 pm, the last four hours of which were at t courteous staff and generally very professional. That said, picking up my new Mini took from 9 am to 5:45 pm, the last four hours of which were at the dealership. The delays were caused by lack of communication between my insurance company, the dealership, and the buyer. The delays could and should have been avoided. Other comments: When I opened the trunk for the first time, three of the four license plate screws fell out. The dealer gave us a pair of socks as a gift to a new Mini owner. Socks? Really? I've been given lots of dealer gifts through the years upon purchasing a car: Insulated coffee cups; bottles of wine on the driver's seat; road atlases; key fobs etc, but socks was a not to be forgotten first. I introduced myself to the Service Manager and was impressed, but was both disappointed and surprised that the Sales Manager avoided my efforts to say hello. Overall, my impression was that the dealership is quite competent but that the customer interface and communication could be improved. More
