Last month I gave props to the Prestige repair crew for persistently busting their butts to fix the airbag light on my 2010 MINI hardtop. I was so impressed with the quality service that I decided to give persistently busting their butts to fix the airbag light on my 2010 MINI hardtop. I was so impressed with the quality service that I decided to give them a shot at selling me a new MINI. My efforts with another NJ MINI dealership had proven rather frustrating. That dealership acted like the MSRP was written in stone. And they offered me a ridiculous lowball offer for my trade-in of a 2010 MINI. I wasn't about to drive 2 hours each way to sit down with a salesman to negotiate price and trade-in. Instead I used Prestige's online website to contact them and was almost immediately answered by Dean Mulligan. Right away he told me that the numbers I was tossing about were reasonable. Solely through emails we built my ideal MINI and settled on a price. One visit to the dealership to have them verify the value of my trade and to sign the paperwork necessary to order the car. The whole in-dealership process took less than half an hour. Meanwhile, I enjoyed their free breakfast and drinks. While waiting for my MINI to be built then shipped, Dean kept me up-to-date on the progress of my order. He understood my perverse interest in following every detail of the process, down to tracking the course of the ship she came over to America upon. Somehow the car got to the dealership less than six weeks after ordering it. Pickup Day was another amazing and rewarding experience. Dean even found us an additional discount on the price along with better financing than my credit union. Frank in finance deftly and humorously guided us through the pile of paperwork, but at no point tried to pressure us into buying anything of that silly crap most other dealerships trying to sucker you into. Rich Nudelman thanked us for the business and gave us his business card just in case we ever had a problem. Then Dean spent the next half hour showing us all the nifty features of our brand new 2013 MINI. He set up our IPod, our phones and programmed our turn signals and door locks. He was quick to praise the marque that he seemed so proud to work with, but at the same time he also pointed out some of the strange idiosyncrasies of our new car (such as the 'voice' button on our steering column that doesn't do anything). He went way beyond the call of duty making this an easy and pleasurable experience. I almost wish I hadn't leased a BMW from their next door sister dealership and gone back to Prestige for a second MINI. More
Had a great experience. Was helped right away. The wait for the car once ordered was a little long but that isn't the dealerships fault thats more on mini production itself. They made me feel very welcome and they helped me get out of my other vehicle. When other dealers didn't even try. The walked me threw the whole deal. They answered all my questions.
