WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD! This is the second time I brought my car in for a recall issue and last time it took a week and a half (HIGHLY doubtful my car would be done by Tuesday). I left work to go out of my way to drop my car off. I get there and they tell me they cannot give me a rental car until Tuesday because the car may be done Monday and request that I pay for taxis everywhere and they will reimburse me later. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING?????? They were requesting I taxi back to work in Rockville, taxi home to Tysons corner, and taxi to BWI airport and then taxi back on Monday evening from BWI to Tysons corner. Those taxi fares alone would well exceed the amount it would even cost for a rental car. If it was going to be an issue to give me a rental car in the first place I would have gotten service done another weekend. THAT IS NOT what they told me on the phone when I was scheduling the service request and asked if it would be a problem. I have used their rental cars in the past and they are filthy so I wanted to avoid that at all costs. Dropping my car off on a weekend when I was out of town and not needing a car seemed to be an ideal option. Also, when I say filthy, I mean there were used q-tips in the door panels, stains and spills, and it smelled. I will never get another MINI again. More

Dealership refused to honor sticker item I purchased a great 2014 MINI from MINI of Montgomery County. Sale went well and my sales person was great...initially. After having my new car, my husband called Sirius Satellite Radio and they advised him that my free subscription was up in June of 2015. Since my sticker on the window said "Satellite Radio w/1 year subscription, I knew they were mistaken, so I called and emailed my sales associate Jennifer B. When I received her response, I was shocked to hear The 1 year Satellite radio is initially issued with the vehicle, so in your case the 1 year subscription has expired." My response was that as a courtesy and to stand by their sticker, they should honor what the sticker said. They refused. Not so much as a call either, all through email. No, "I'm sorry Ms. Clark let me see what we can do" or lets try to work this out, nothing. It was basically, my tough luck. My sales associate Jennifer was very good. BY NOT HONORING THE STICKER, THEY PROVIDED THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VALUE OF A CUSTOMER EVER. Prior to this incident I would have recommended this dealership, but after this treatment and lack of understanding of a mistake made solely by their company, I'd say run as fast as you can to another MINI dealership. After months of searching for an SUV, we ended up buying a used vehicle, not a Cooper, at MINI MoCo on Memorial We were in and out within 2.5 hours! After months of searching for an SUV, we ended up buying a used vehicle, not a Cooper, at MINI MoCo on Memorial Day. We were happy to know the showroom was open on a holiday. We called ahead to have the vehicle available when we arrived. An hour and a half later, we arrived at the dealer and were promptly greeted with a smile. Within minutes I was test driving the vehicle with Errol, one of the nicest sales associates. We returned to the dealer and had a hassle and haggle-free deal with the humble manager. He assured us we were receiving the best offer within a 150-mile radius and showed us the comparable. We agreed on a final sale price and the last stop was financing with Umar. Young, funny guy who was trying to make it all worth us forking over thousands of dollars for a new used vehicle! We all had a few chuckles. In summary, we had a very pleasant experience with MINI of MoCo and would purchase from them again. From the time we arrived to the time we drove off the lot, we were promptly helped with a smile, despite it being a holiday. No one griped about working that day! But, it always helps them and yourself to do your own research on the type of vehicle you want and at what price point you can afford. Call ahead to let them know you're coming so they can have a chance to get the vehicle you want ready for you. It helped us! More

Unfortunately I had a manufacture defect which required the headliner to be replaced in my new 2013 MINI. The service department has always been incredibly polite and willing to make sure I am happy with the purchase of my MINI. They always make me feel welcome and take good care of me and my MINI. I am very happy with the work they did on my MINI with the headliner replacement. The quality of work looks amazing. I am very please and happy they were able to fix the defect for me without giving me a hard time as it seems like other dealers do. MINI is truly about the customers and the service team does a great job of continuing that feeling after the purchase. Kudos to them and their excellent customer service. More

Steve responded promptly and conducted an extensive search for an appropriate vehicle with the options that I wanted (a few of the other area dealers were unable to find a car suiting my needs). Steve continued to be responsive during negotiation and produced all of the information I requested. I would recommend him to any person in the DC Metro area seeking to purchase a new Mini. More
Buyer Beware A Virginia resident, I purchased a used 2004 Mazda after being reassured numerous times that the MD vehicle inspection process is way more stringent t A Virginia resident, I purchased a used 2004 Mazda after being reassured numerous times that the MD vehicle inspection process is way more stringent than VA. I bought the car in January 2014 in the rain. I took the car to to Virginia and had it inspected. It failed, one of the reasons being that a front headlight was installed improperly (and a brake light was out). Once it was in the service station's bay you could tell immediately that one light was exactly where it was supposed to be and the other one was pointed to the ground. The inspector told me to immediately have the tires replaced because they were cracked from being dry rotted. He had no reason to mislead me because selling me tires was not his intent; he told me to go elsewhere. When the tires were not wet from the rain, the cracks within the tread were obviously visible. I took the vehicle back to the dealership when I then met with a person I believe to be the Used Car Manager. He was extremely rude and indifferent; he kept repeating that I purchased the car As Is and "tough", there was nothing he could or was willing to do about it. One of the safety checks per MD law is the condition of the tire. Even though the car passed inspection at the Mini Cooper dealership, I would not think that a dry rotted tire could possibly meet the good condition requirement - especially the more stringent MD safety inspection that was a continued major selling point of the vehicle. He told me he was willing to pay for the misaligned light and brake light, but only if I had the work done there - which would have meant that I take the car back again to the vehicle inspection place to have it reinspected - a non-starter, even though it would have only cost the dealership $40. I bought the car for my 16 year old who was with me when we purchased the car. Even though I can't say with the utmost certainty that the salesman knew or should have known about the dry rotted tires, I can tell you on no uncertain terms that neither the manager nor the salesman would have allowed their children to drive the car in its purchased condition. So Buyer Beware - get the car inspected somewhere else prior to purchasing anything from this dealership (which I certainly don't recommend). In my humble opinion, I believe it to be a conflict of interest for the dealership to inspect the same vehicles it intends to sell. It was obvious from my experience that this car should have never passed the MD safety inspection. Once you walk out of the door there with a car you are obviously "dead to them" - which after seeing the condition of the tires, the improperly installed headlight and burned out brake light, was ever more likely to come to pass in a literal sense.
