They were always honest and never hid any fee/cost in order to lower the estimate to lure the customer. Since I ordered my car via MTO, I had to wait a month or two until I could pick up the car. Danny kept updating the production status to me, and made the whole purchasing process easy and no pressure. All in all, this was a very good purchasing experience, highly recommended! More

Incompetent Towed my car in as it stopped working at an intersection. The lady service tech said " we'd take a look at it BUT you gotta pay us $134.00" No problem Towed my car in as it stopped working at an intersection. The lady service tech said " we'd take a look at it BUT you gotta pay us $134.00" No problem as I had no other choice. On the phone the next day she tells me the timing chain was kaput . I asked her specifically what else could also be broken since I did not want to spend $5k on a '06 mini. Standard answer is we don't know till we open it up. Again I asked, in her expertise opinion, what has her experience been? Well people, two days later she calls back with a list of over $5K. I asked then to put it back together as I wanted a second opinion. After paying $1300.00 for a part she said I ordered and car still not running, I towed the car to another mini/bmw guys and they straight out told me it would be a waist of money at this point. On top of all that, the car was not put back together, and everything was left in the trunk . They lie to get you hooked and then once the gut is open tell you " oh yea, others problem with your car". What kind of mini service are you guys. A corner mechanic shop knows more than these guys. I came in for service because the red BRAKE indicator and service symbol came on and after checking the car myself I found that the rear driver side rotor was severely pitted and the caliper was locked-up and the inner pad had almost no friction material left. I indicated to the service writer to look into rear caliper issue when I checked in. He came to tell me after they supposedly looked the car over to tell me the prognosis, which they also noted in my invoice: 1) That I would soon need front rotors and pads (there was actually a third life in all pads and rotors were just rusted on the non-friction areas.) 2) That I did NOT need a new caliper but would soon need rear rotors and pads (I actually needed immediately both the driver side rear caliper, because piston seal was torn and the piston was pitted, the rotor, which was SEVERELY pitted on the inner side, and of course pads). This indicates of course that they did not look at the brakes at all, let alone the one I indicated they should look at. 3) The oil solenoid was leaking and that its replacement was needed soon with a cost of $830 due to the cost of the solenoid and the removal of the half-shaft and oil pan. While the condition was true, it is a common enough problem that back in 2013 Mini released a service kit (which costs $30) and a bulletin SIM 11-01-12 which clearly states NOT to remove oil pan or replace oil solenoid. Considering their trustworthiness, it is likely they would apply the cheap fix while charging me full pop. They sent me on my way with the BRAKE light and service indicator still lit. Thank you Mini of Montgomery County for attempting to bilk me for work not needed and for ignoring my observation and overlooking the work I desperately needed. For these reasons I do not recommend this service department at all. I do recommend getting a second opinion for any items the service writers try to sell you. More

For example, they installed a new clutch and performed several other minor repairs with a good customer experience with Brian. I am motivated to write a poor review based on a more recent experience with this dealership and a different service advisor. After spending a few thousand dollars on an older used car this past winter (with Brian), we noticed the engine light had come on this spring. To make the story short, this dealer was unwilling to help unless there were dollars in it for them (i.e, charging diagnostic fees instead of just helping us) though they knew they were working with a collage-age boy trying to minimize expenses. I spoke to the GM who told me that it is fair to charge a diagnostic fee when we are not going to perform the work (or not with them), despite the fact that we have spent thousands there over the past couple years of owning the car. He said that its normal in the industry. So over the past couple of months since this bad experience, 5 other friends and family cars were taken to different dealerships (American, German, Japanese - all local) with only the intention of asking them to do a diagnostic check. Every single one of them did the computer check, which took 15-20 minutes each and none of them charged us - instead giving us a smile. Bad on you Mini of Montgomery for not paying attention to the people by focusing on long-term relationships. These five other dealerships will get business from me and my large circle of friends and family, as will anyone else who cares about relationships, and you will not. My college son likes his Mini and will not buy another from you, nor will his circle of friends. So, when you look at your financial results over the next couple of years and wonder why you're not doing better, perhaps you can re-read this review. More

From the moment I came to this dealer, Stephen, the sales person was great. Not only did I want to find a car I liked but a good dealership as this will be a place I will go for regular service. Everytime I come in for service - I feel like I'm in a car commercial ... The place is clean as a whistle and the staff is friendly and helpful. Jaimie in service can get my car looked and fixed faster that my BMW dealer would take just to check me in and get me an estimate. The first time I came in was just a few months after I got the car and was devastated that some was tapped the back bumper.. Jamie looked at it said we could buff it out...in minutes it was good as new and no charge. Every time I come in for something - no matter how small - I'm treated like a valued customer. When I come in for service Stephen in sales always chats me up and asks me detailed questions about my work. He remembers where I work and is truly interested I me as a person - I have even told him - I keep cars a long time so don't expect another sales in a while - lol. It would be easy for him to move to the next sales. I'm sold on this brand ... And this dealer ! Great job all the way around! Ron More
Dishonest, rude and appallingly unprofessional Disappointed with unprofessional conduct of Mini of Montgomery. I purchased my mini from them and had it delivered to California (where I live). When Disappointed with unprofessional conduct of Mini of Montgomery. I purchased my mini from them and had it delivered to California (where I live). When the car was delivered, I signed the paperwork saying it looked fine. Noticed after delivery (had not driven the car yet) that the tire pressure was low in right rear tire as the sign came on. I thought it may have been during the long distance delivery. Filled up the tire the first time. But noticed that the tire kept getting deflated. Took to a local dealership and found that it had a nail in it, so tire keeps getting deflated slowly. Reported the problem to MINI of Montgomery, who is now completely shirking responsibility. 1. They claim all their cars are inspected before sale, but they have no paperwork to show that the tires were inspected right before the car was shipped. 2. They claim that because I signed the delivery form and accepted the car, I am responsible for accepting the car "as is". This is a fraudulent approach - a typical car buyer will not be able to spot a small nail in the tire while purchasing. Nor will anyone think of checking tire pressure before accepting delivery of a brand new car. 3. When I called to report the problem and sought to resolve with them, they were exceptionally rude, especially for a MINI dealership. Replacing a tire is a tiny expense compared to the amount we paid for the car and all the bells & whistles, especially when its due to an oversight on part of the dealership. But now they are completely denying responsibility. I have been a happy and loyal MINI owner for over a decade, but the dishonest business practices of MINI of Montgomery County have been extremely frustrating. More
