All I needed was an oil change and had been to four other service centers. Apparently I needed to be at an Auto Nation facility to honor the maintenance plan from Assurant that I purchased when I bought my car from Auto Nation USA. It was a very frustrating and time consuming process until I was advised to try Mini of Las Vegas. They honored the policy and even washed my car. This is how companies should run their businesses. I want to add that the long wait time had to do with Assurant needing to OK the service and not Mini's fault. I had been to two different Pep Boys and they both told me it would be a three hour wait due to Assurant's procedure of getting an authorization for the prepaid service I purchased. More
Imagine my surprise on Christmas Eve, when my dashboard warned me to put air in my tires while driving down the Las Vegas Strip. Couldn't make the 275 mile drive back to LA without an emergency visit to Mi warned me to put air in my tires while driving down the Las Vegas Strip. Couldn't make the 275 mile drive back to LA without an emergency visit to Mini of Las Vegas. I was grateful to find them open on December 26th. They quickly assessed the problem: a screw penetrated my left rear tire on my lengthy trek for the holidays. Following their advice, I replaced two tires, since all my tires are six years old. Performed with aplomb while I waited in the dealership. Instead of losing money at a casino table, I invested in my Mini, thanks to the pros at Mini of Las Vegas. I drove home to LA with confidence, knowing that my car was handled with care. More
Chris Uhles is top notch. He helped us get exactly what we wanted without trying to hard-sell us things we didn't want or need. I recommend you not do business with MINI of Las Vega, they are not honest. I was charged $2,200 to not fix a problem. I took my MINI Clubman to MINI of Las Vegas because of a loud rubbing noise coming from the front right of the car. In reviewing the problem with the service advisor, I pointed out that though not a mechanic, I am an engineer who has been around plenty of failing motor and pump bearings and this did not sound like a bearing problem. I paid roughly $200 to have the problem diagnosed. The service advisor came back to me with a diagnosis of a failed wheel bearing and a $2,200 estimate. I questioned the diagnosis which he affirmed and then I asked pointedly whether replacing the wheel bearing would fix the problem. The answer was “Yes”. I took the car in on a Tuesday. There was no loaner car available so I had to pay for a rental car for 3 days. Finally, a loaner car was available. That was a good thing because “repairs” took until the following Monday to complete. The service advisor called to tell me that my car was ready but there was another problem with the front right tire. I picked my car up paying $2,200 under protest and pointed out to the service advisor that I paid for repairs that weren’t needed and they didn’t fix the problem. Initially he denied that and then all he could say was, “I’m sorry.” I drove directly to Discount Tire with the same load rubbing noise that cause me to take the car to MINI in the first place. Discount Tire found a tire that was cracked inside and replaced it under warranty in a couple of hours. I called the dealership multiple times and most calls went unanswered. I finally got through and asked to talk to the service manager. No answer so I left messages requesting a return call on three successive days. No call. Finally, the loaner car was a huge disappointment. I drive a MINI because it is a fun car to drive. The new loaner was all sterile electronics and the MINI charm and driving experience are gone. More
Service was not completed as invoice stated. I am really disappointed with the fact that the tires where not checked. It opens the door that other services may have also been over-looked.
