This was a first car purchase for my 21 year old son. The purchase was quick and painless, with no typical "sales push" in regard to any aspect of the purchase. I cannot say it was the most pleasant car buying experience, but I am satisfied with the car and really, what more can you ask for!? Site unseen, I knew which car I was looking for and MB had one experience, but I am satisfied with the car and really, what more can you ask for!? Site unseen, I knew which car I was looking for and MB had one in good shape and priced below KBB. Spoke to Justin, put a deposit on the car, and after many phonecalls and emails, agreed on a date that I would come down - mind you, I was TWO HOURS away from the dealership. So the day came, deposit ready, had a one way ride down to the dealer - Justin called me to tell me that there was seepage coming from the engine and the trunk toggle button was broken - not to fear, they have the parts and should be ready when I get down there. I agreed to get to the dealer at around 2:00PM - the car was not ready, but they assured me it would be soon. 4:00PM - no car, Justin is pacing...the car still leaks...valve cover warped. Can you come back tomorrow? My ride left, I am two hours away, no.....Put you up in a hotel? No..... Buy you Dinner??? No Thank You. Jesse Lehman, owner, stepped in. Joe, if I can get the part now and my mechanic stays late, do you still want the car. Yes!! Again, dinner, coffee, internet access - everything was offered to make a very uncomfortable situation, better. 6:00PM - Car ready, we go to the shop, pick it up, drive back to the dealer. While we do the paperwork, the car will get the finishing touches on the detail - as well as remove the horrible tint from the rear windshield (it was a Florida car, bad tint job, could not see out the back window). "Should only be a few minutes or so"... 8:00PM - Detail door opens. Detailer runs out, into another garage bay, comes back out with a Jump Box, runs back into the detail room...I hear my car start...not a good sign. Finally, I am about to leave - Justin promised me a new battery if this one does not charge on the ride home...the trunk toggle is still not fixed - all the work done for the valve cover, they forgot to address this.....oops, the back headrests are missing (detailer took them off to get the rear tint off)..... I leave, two hour drive home after six hours at the dealer...it was a nice ride, the car drove beautifully, very good looking car. However, the next afternoon, I found an issue....the detailer got the back deck carpet SOAKED with ammonia, which flares up when the sun hits it....that is my weekend project, removing the back deck and scrubbing it down so my car does not REEK in direct sunlight...... The following week, I receive a box from Justin. Enclosed is the refund check for the battery I needed to purchase, the head rests and the trunk toggle switch - as promised. I am only telling you all this to show you how dedicated this dealership is to ensure the customer is satisfied with their purchase. No, it was not the best car buying experience, but the dedicated professionals at MB Motorsports will ensure you get a quality automobile, the payments that you need, and even an aftermarket warranty if you desire. Bottom line - The car is excellent, the salesteam did everything they could to make me feel comfortable and I would definately recommend this dealership for your automotive needs. I have dealt with some new car dealerships to buy or lease and have bought numerous cars ,motorcycles and trucks from private parties. This was my first experience with a pre-owned dealer in my 37 years lease and have bought numerous cars ,motorcycles and trucks from private parties. This was my first experience with a pre-owned dealer in my 37 years . I responded to the ad on Craigs List, called and was welcomed by Justin to come over. I was looking at a pre-owned Toyota Tacoma 4x4 and asked Justin to take it for a ride over to my mechanic to have him check it out. He copied my licience and threw me the keys. I was gone for nearly 2 hours and then sat down to negoiate. It was a low pressure, easy , and comfortable process taking less than 5 minutes. We met about half way in price negotiation and he has handled all the details. He was professional, friendly and helpful along the entire process. I have felt like I have been a customer for 50 years and the trust that goes along with that kind of relationship. Contacted this dealership about a Volvo that I had seen on autotrader. Justin followed up with several e-mails and a phone call. Initially he seemed professional and diligent, until we spoke on the phone. The vehicle I was considering is a higher mileage import. I explained to him that I was potential cash buyer, and due to some common fail items on this specific make and model vehicle (there are countless references all over the internet from past and current owners), I would like to pay for a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) in advance prior to me purchasing. This is where he became flaky. He told me that due to the higher miles it would more than likely be exported, however he didn't say that it was specifically designated only for export. He said that he didn't want to take it to a Volvo dealership (for a PPI) because it would come back with 5 pages of things wrong with the vehicle. I explained to him that I knew that the vehicle was a higher mileage used vehicle, and I didn't expect it to be perfect, however wanted to make sure that there were no significant high dollar items that would need immediate addressing after purchase. I told him that I had been told that the transmission was a common fail item on this specific make and model vehicle, and I just wanted to make sure that the major components such as the cooling system, transmission, and the engine did not need to be addressed immediately after purchase. After I told him my position, he directly told me; "I don't believe that this vehicle is for you." I was speechless, I could not believe that he was pushing my business and money away and was not willing to propose some type of plausible solution for my business. I guess business is just really exceptional at their dealership despite the souring economy. I would definitely not recommend them. I was definitely not impressed and will be taking my business and money elsewhere. I will be going to someone that actually wants my business. More
We dealt with Justin, i was very pleased with his service. I had called earlier in the morning to make sure the truck was still available. As soon as we got to the dealer he was right there. My fiance looked at the truck test drove it and Justin understood we had to wait a few hours before we could purchase the car. The dealer closed at 5pm on Saturday, we got there at about 4:55pm he stayed late to help us with all the paper work and had us in and out of there in no time. My fiance is so excited to be driving in his truck! It was a great deal! More
