Rip off dealership I had bought a Dodge Journey 2009 from this dealership , about 6 months after the check engine light went on. At the time of purchase I was talked in I had bought a Dodge Journey 2009 from this dealership , about 6 months after the check engine light went on. At the time of purchase I was talked into buying a warranty for it (which all said and done doesn't cover anything) any way about $2500 dollars later and 4 shops later no one can figure out what is wrong with the Journey. Funny when reading the reviews there are some people that had similar problems like I had, I think that should say something about the cars they sale. Stay clear of the dealership and if you do buy there .....good luck and stay clear of the so called warranty they sale you. Ron More

Not so great dealer I bought 2 cars from them, you would think i would have learned from the first disaster i purchased. I bought a 2006 ford escape that broke down the first day i had it, unfortunately I was in PA and I had to pay to have it towed to them because it was not driveable, they gave me a real hard time fixing it but they eventually did. There were too many other problems with the car to list here. The second car i purchased was a 2009 Chrysler 300. Didn't even put 50 miles on the car and a tire blew and the sensor in the tire needed replacing, once again they gave me a hard time, now after putting 300 miles on the car there are so many lights lit on the dashboard I'm not even sure where to begin. So people beware what you buy from them.. I will say this. The salespeople are great too bad the owners suck. More
Could have been better After about a month the thermostat went which they fixed, about a month after that the axle seal went and they weaseled their way out of it by saying After about a month the thermostat went which they fixed, about a month after that the axle seal went and they weaseled their way out of it by saying the seal wasn't listed under the warranty even though it is part of the power train, then they tried to sell me a new brake drum because the old one got oil on it from the leaking seal, when i suggested that they just clean the old one off he said "oh i could do that too". if i had no knowledge of auto repair they would have sold me something i didn't need, at the end of the day they're still a used car dealer. That's the first and last time i will ever buy a vehicle from a used car dealer. PS: John Yesko was very good. More

Great first car for Son! After about a week, the car started to overheat...and we thought maybe we had been too hasty in our inspections and purchase -- we hadn't had much experience buying used cars. The dealership provided excellent service. No hassles at all. It turned out to be a fan issue -- which the service manager Mike Capenegro fixed ASAP on a Saturday -- to get our son back on the road quickly. We would definitely recommend and purchase again. More
Concealed damaged engine and then refused to help My son saved for years to buy his first car and upon his 17th birthday he pooled his $4000 with me to buy a 2005 Ford Escape. The dealer offered a 90 My son saved for years to buy his first car and upon his 17th birthday he pooled his $4000 with me to buy a 2005 Ford Escape. The dealer offered a 90 day warranty. On the 96th day the engine threw a piston the perforated the block requiring a complete engine replacement. Three reputable mechanics indicated that this was a problem the dealer had to know about. The best MB offered after prolonged discussions where they weren't going to offer anything was to offer to put in a used engine that they located. The engine was not going to be warrantied and I was required to pay 3/4's of the cost for the engine and labor. I had no confidence in their ability to get a good engine or to do the job correctly and elected to have a Ford dealer install a rebuilt engine warrantied for 70,000 miles. The sniveling owner of MB hid behind mechanics, supervisors and managers and would never take my calls of meet me in person at his dealership. Beware of the shiny, doctored cars on his lots. He has no integrity and will get his due in good time. More
Professional, pre- and post-sale My wife and I recently purchased a Mercedes Benz CLK 350 cabrio through MB Motorsports in Asbury Park, NJ. We found the car through CarGurus - www.car My wife and I recently purchased a Mercedes Benz CLK 350 cabrio through MB Motorsports in Asbury Park, NJ. We found the car through CarGurus - www.cargurus.com - and to be honest were very leery of buying from a used-car dealer. We’ve owned dozens of cars over the years and had never shopped at a non-brand dealership. Our encounter started with the rep, Peter Agugliaro who was incredibly accommodating and did not toss around all that used-car-dealer stuff that puts people off. Peter is a gentleman and pro, and helped tremendously to get the deal done, and with post-sale follow-up. When you visit the dealership you’ll first be impressed by the exquisitely restored classic cars in the showroom. I suspect this is a passion of the dealer owner, Marty Berlin. Seeing the workmanship puts you at ease immediately that this “ain’t your daddy’s used car dealer.” We had a few minor cosmetic and functionality issues after we took position of the car. If you’re like us when looking for a used car, your fear is probably that they’ll forget your name before the ink dries on the contract. That has absolutely NOT been the case with MB Motorsports. To resolve issues Peter put us in touch with Jay Rogers, the service manager. Jay made absolutely certain that all issues were resolved to our complete satisfaction. He even did follow-up phone calls and emails to make sure. Jay is a pro. The financial and business side of the deal was handled by George Marshall, yet another professional you’ll enjoy working with. We took delivery very late in the day and he walked us through everything, no rush, no hassle. In closing: We look forward to many years driving our Benz and would have absolutely no hesitation to do business with MB Motorsports again. More
get a second opinion before buying So I bought a car from there about three months ago. I went to the Asbury location. I looked at the car I was interested in but i didn't want to buy i So I bought a car from there about three months ago. I went to the Asbury location. I looked at the car I was interested in but i didn't want to buy it until I had my own mechanic ( my uncle ) look at it first. Now the salesman I had was nice, but either didn't know all his facts or was just lying to me just to get the sale. I never really had a new car (and its not even brand new) so I didn't know how warrantees worked. Now, it was fine for me to take it to my uncles shop, wich made me feel confident about the car, and the car came with the three month warrenty from there shop as well (make sure you check what the warrenty is because it doesn't cover everything). But before I took it to my uncles, he was trying to convince me that the original 100,000 mile warrenty would automatically transfer to me. This car had only about 64,000 miles. He was clearly trying to push me to get the car that day. It seemed to good to be true but I kept my foot down and I wanted my uncle to look first. And i called hyundai to check about what he said about the original warrenty switching over, and go figure they dont do that. So anyway, I put a deposit on the car and I had to wait till Monday to take it to my uncles (i was at mb on a Friday). So the next day he calls me to make sure I'm still interested in the car. Clearly I'm still interested, i just gave them $500 the day prior to hold it and he new i had to wait till Monday to take it to my uncles.that annoyed me a little bit. So anyway my uncle said the car was solid. As we drove it around it was making a noise though, which Mb had fixed before I bought the car, something minor. Now about a week after I bought it, I hear another noise. It sounded like something to do with the struts and I knew that because I had just delt with fixing my struts on my car prior and its expensive and annoying. So I thought whatever, I have the 3 month warrenty so Mb has to fix it. I call the service center and told him what I heard and go figure there warrenty doesn't cover that. It turned out just to be a loose strut part, thank god other wise I would've been screwed. Now 3 months later I get my first oil change and the guys at this place bring up a couple things that need to get changed. Some filter for the ac was disgusting and my transmission fluid was black, it should've been red, it was way overdue to be changed. And couple other things that you would've thought that MB would've done prior to selling the car. So just spent a couple hundred dollars on that. But overall I like my car, I just wish my uncle thoroughly inspected it better. So if you buy a car from there I would recommend getting everything looked at from a second option before you buy More
Great car buying experience From the moment I pulled in Julio made me feel like my business was important to him. He gave us everything we could ask for a car buying experience.
