I had been looking for a vehicle to replace the one I'd had for several years. My inital visit to M2Auto was to check out a 2006 Jeep Laredo. I asked if I could test drive and the battery wouldn't start. I was told due to the cold weather that was the reason, however I kept that thought in the back of my mind. I test drove the Jeep and something just didnt' feel right about the vehicle. The salesman informed me that it had indeed been in an accident and the front end/grill had to be replaced. So I stayed clear away from this vehicle, however while I was there I noticed a 2003 Volkswagen Passat W8 Motion. I inquired, test drove and everything seemed to be in order for what I was looking to purchase. Low miles, car fax came up clean and overall from an untrained mechanics eye looked and drove well. I proceeded with the purchase. Approxiamately 3 weeks after having the vehicle a dashboard signal came on. I took out the owners manual to find out what is was as it was the malfunction indicator light. I contacted M2auto and told them of the issue. And I also inquired about my transferred plates. Freddie told to come in and they would take a look at the vehicle. I took the vehicle in Bobby wasn't there so I had to deal with Mike to called Bobby for every quesiton. Mike couldn't find my plates, and then told me that no one had time to look at my vehicle. He called Bobby and told him of the issues. I spoke with Bobby and expressed my dissatisfaction of the problems with the vehicle and not receiving transfered plates. Bobby told me that he is only the manager and doens't handle the plares, I told him that a a manager it is his job to ensure that his employees do what is expected of your customers, especially since I had made it quite clear that I wanted to transfer my plates. He hung the phone up on me. Finally a mechanic performed a diagonistic test on the vehicle and told me it was the torque converter clutch (transmission). Bobby told Mike, that he didn't want me to come back to the dealership to get any repairs done. I've filed a complaint with BBB and NJ Attorney General's Office and will continue to inform other's of there lack of professionalionism, courtesy and respect of unsuspecting buyers. BTW I still haven't recieved my transferred plates... More
Originally I was alittle hesitant to purchase a car from the reviews. I found them on the internet and was coming from 3 hours away. I had left a deposit then found the reviews later. I called and expressed the reviews. I found them on the internet and was coming from 3 hours away. I had left a deposit then found the reviews later. I called and expressed my concern to Robert and we spoke for over a half an hour about the car, the purchase process and just the business overall. When I arrived the car was ready and the checked out well by myself(not a mechanic of any sort) and I also had a local mechanic stop in and check the car out before I laid the money out. The mechanic brought up a few wear items to take into consideration with the higher miles. I purchased an extended warranty which turned out too be a pretty good deal. Within the 3 months I have had the car, I had to have a minor repair to the Rear window regulator/motor and a Brake Caliper. Overall it was a pretty painless experience, I'd recommend the extended warranty if it fits in your budget incase of any large mechanical failure. Good Luck Randy More
My car died so I needed to find a new one. I can't remember the guys name the shorter of the two in the office. Anyway, he said he had this GREAT Jetta GLX coming in and I was shopping for a VW. When remember the guys name the shorter of the two in the office. Anyway, he said he had this GREAT Jetta GLX coming in and I was shopping for a VW. When the car finally came in, oh and I asked that he call when it did come in, I called and it seemed like I pulling teeth just to get an answer about the car. They said i could come in and check it out. When I got there, the car was no where near how he talked it up to be. I looked like someone wearing a full arm cast attempted to do touch up paint ALL over the car, not a good job and the color didn't match up either. The rear bumper was hit and cracked.Side molding was coming off and some how half of the bottom skid guard was missing. They "detailed" the car prior to me getting there and the inside smelt like mildew and wet dog. When I went into the office after seeing the car he asked what I thought, I said its alright. ALRIGHT?!? The car is better than ALRIGHT, like I'm an idiot and had this stupid look on his face like I offended him. Unlike the last person who commented, the guy let me test drive the car and trust me you didn't miss anything. He drove the car off the curb without a ramp or anything. The front tire was flat and they had to but air in the tire. (the time prior to this, another car in the sales lot had a flat. And if you know MK IV Jetta's the milage and time is always on, even if the car is off. Not one but two Jetta's in the sales lot had dead batteries) My test drive consisted of him directing me around back streets, that he kept warning me about cops and not to go over the 25 to 30 MPH speed limit, and even at that speed the test drive was over in literally 5 minutes or less. After the test drive he had me park close to where it was parked but in the Krausers parking lot, I can only assume they just drove it back up the curb. We went back to the office and he eventually quoted me a price. It looked like they had just sold a car to someone but was doing everything else but finish with them. The one guy that was helping the buyers was talking on his cell phone while the guy that was suppose to be helping me was doing something for him on his cpu. Then a customer from out of state came into the office and had spoke with them about a car, now me and the buyers are just sitting there being ignored (I could tell those poor poeple that just bought their car were getting PISSED). They directed them back outside as they could not find the keys for the car. I finally get my number 4016.00 out the door, everything. So I said, ok so its 4k, NO its the price I told you. I asked him if he was serious and he said he was and again making that stupid face. Done, over, good bye, and never again. I'll by a scooter before I ever even ask them a question about a car. They have no business being in a sales oriented business. Oh and to comment on the last guys posting, he said he thinks the "5" rating is a fake. Your absolutely right because seen the exact same post on a different site word for word. They think highly of them selves. More

I was on my way to this dealer and called to ask to test drive a car. The dealer asked if I was ready to buy now. I said very soon but not tonight. He said "you can look at the car but you cannot test drive drive a car. The dealer asked if I was ready to buy now. I said very soon but not tonight. He said "you can look at the car but you cannot test drive it, I don't want to move my cars unless you are ready to buy". I hung up, made a U-turn, and went to a reputable dealer that I used in the past and ended up buying a car that night after all. Every time I called this dealer, they answered the phone with just a quiet "hello?" as if they were a private seller. They never answer "M2 Auto Group". What are they trying to hide? They always give short answers over the phone as if you are bothering them. They received a grade of "F" from the Better Business Bureau. Read the first review where they scored a 5. It is obvious they wrote this tacky review themselves or had a friend do it. I did not purchase a car from them so I cannot give a complete review. But use caution before buying a car from them. More
My 17 year old daughter saved for over 2 years for her first car ,she purchased a 1999 S70 Volvo sedan, drove 2 1/2 hours to see the car , car was advertised on Craig's List as a great running car with no first car ,she purchased a 1999 S70 Volvo sedan, drove 2 1/2 hours to see the car , car was advertised on Craig's List as a great running car with no issues. bought the car as is, knowing it needed a few things , never made it home and was towed to Holman Volvo Egg Harbor Twsp, N.J. with total transmission failure. , car needs over 10 K worth of work , according to volvo the car undrivable and not safe , needs new transmission , missing front suspension parts and much more to make it safe and road worthy.Contacted M2 Auto group within 2.5 hours of the purchase and to our dismay .. they were totally unsympathetic and told us we purchased an as is vehicle. our argument is that we never even made it home from the purchase and the car was undrivable from approximately 2.5 hours after the purchase. Spoke to saleman several times, they in turn told us that they contact the owner of M2 autogroup and stated customers complaints and customer requested a return call. Owner refuses to return our calls to address the issue in a proper business manner. we just want a refund and to return the undrivable car. More
