They lied to me and ruined our vacation I called the dealership and spoke to a service manager and set it up to have an ac inverter replaced on my 2014 truck while on vacation, I called 5 da I called the dealership and spoke to a service manager and set it up to have an ac inverter replaced on my 2014 truck while on vacation, I called 5 days in advance and when asked was told yes they will get it fixed that day, I also gave them my credit card number so they could set aside all the parts and verified they had everything to complete the job so there would be no issue since we were from Oklahoma and on vacation and we needed this to work on our camping vacation in the Redwoods. I showed up exactly when they told me to be there and parked in the service lane (one of 3 lanes), My son and I were the only people outside so we sit down right beside the lanes waiting for someone to help us. A service guy looks right at us and comes out just as a woman drives up so he helps her and spends 20 minutes helping her with her auto, as soon as they are done another female drives up and the same service guy helps her, we had been waiting 40 minutes to be helped for our appointment. Finally a woman comes out and says they have too many vehicles in front of ours and we will have to leave it till Monday, the next week. I asked for the manager and tell him of the situation and that I was told 5 days ago they'd get it in and out having it fixed same day as our appointment, I was told that the service guy came out 2 times and couldn't find us, he surely seen us drive up right in front of him, he looked right at us, we were the only people around and just a few feet right in front of him and every time he came out I stood up and walked towards him, there was no need to be dishonest about it, when the female service person walked out she seen us as there is no way possible to miss the only people around right there in front of you. The female went from saying leave it till Monday to after I complained to the manager to saying it would take 5-6 hours because they had so many others in front of us to fix, I knew from what they had told me when I made the appointment they would only be open for another 4 hours so I decided they were still being dishonest with me and I had enough already. I didn't take my son camping in the Redwoods and we headed back to Oklahoma. There were only 2 Chevrolet dealers between where I called in Colorado and the Redwoods that had this part in stock and I chose the wrong one to set up an appointment to have the defective part replaced. They let me down and 2 of the people in charge of service lied to me and the guy out on the service line lied to his manager. Come to where I purchased my truck and you'll see there is a major difference in excellent service and lousy dishonest service I was given at MK Smith. More
I was traveling thru California while moving to my new military duty station when I noticed a great deal of fluid inside my left front tire well, but nothing inside my engine compartment so I did not know military duty station when I noticed a great deal of fluid inside my left front tire well, but nothing inside my engine compartment so I did not know where the fluid was coming from. I took my vehicle to MK Chevy to determine what the problem was. The service rep called me and informed me that the Hydro-booster was leaking and the repair would cost $1095 for repair. I instructed him to repair the part. After leaving CA and driving to El Paso, TX, the same fluids were inside my tire well again. I took my vehicle to Mission Chevy dealer in El Paso, who showed me where the fluid was coming from and that it was not a leak at all, but a function of the Vent tube that was located next to the opening of the front left tire well. I explained to him that I paid to have the hydro-booster replaced to solve this leak and the expression on his face said it all as he showed me the location of the hydro-booster and the very unlikely probability for the fluids in the tire well to come from that part without some signs of fluids in the engine compartment, on the firewall, or the hood. He corrected the channeling of the tube and placed a filter on the vent tube as a solution from the fluids from gathering in the tire well, however, this was a natural process for the vehicle and nothing was broken. I have had no sign of fluid in my tire well after the Mission Chevy dealer did the right thing. I attempted to get MK Chevy Asst Manager, Brian Pfapp to admit that the part did not need to be replaced. However, he refused to admit that if the hydro-booster part which is located on the upper back left side of the engine compartment next to the firewall was leaking that there would have been some sign of fluids in the engine compartment or on the hood due the air blowing the fluids around. They refuse to admit any wrong doing or that the part was not required to be changed. The service department took me for $1095 for a repair that did not correct the problem. The GM Customer Service was not helpful at all in assisting me get my money back. The dealership Manager has failed to return a call to me after he was supposed to check into the unnecessary repairs. I would not trust this dealership again or recommend it to anyone. if they would take advantage of a service member, they would take advantage of anyone. More
