I bought a used Honda on Aug 25th. So far, I like the car. The little things make a difference to me. I had been told by other people not to to Luther Honda for various reasons, but they did have a car I was interested in. On Oct. 2 I took my car in to have the additional key fob make that was promised when I purchased the car. My other key fob also wasn't working, even after replacing the battery 3 times. Dave made it seem like it was a really big deal to get Sales approval to fix it (it wasn't the battery), but he did get it approved. The other issue I had was an interior light for the heat/air. That was $100 in labor to fix and since I was 5 days over my 30 day warrenty, they wouldn't cover it. You know what? They are right, a rule is a rule. But, I will not be purchasing a car from Luther Honda ever again and I will tell everyone I know that their service and warranty is sub par. More

We were very satisfied with our experience with Luther Honda in St.Cloud. The people in the Service Department were friendly and very helpful, taking us to our rental car, not just telling us where it was Honda in St.Cloud. Recently, I had my Seadoo serviced and I am very dissatisfied. Luther Honda's staff has told me so many stories and treated me so badly, I had to take it to another Seadoo Dealer to get it repaired dissatisfied. Luther Honda's staff has told me so many stories and treated me so badly, I had to take it to another Seadoo Dealer to get it repaired. The second reputable dealer confirmed that the service Luther Honda claimed to provide to me, was not done and was not even necessary. I am expecting Luther Honda to make a big correction to my bill to reflect the service actually done. No adjustment was made and they ignored my complaint My Seadoo had water in the oil cause by connecting a hose to the flush port provided for this. The first staff member said they would change the oil a few times and that would solve it. A second staff member called back and made up the story that the motor had to be torn apart and totally dried out, because if even one drop or water remains it would permanently damage the engine. ( we’ll, turns out this was a lie and was not even done.) They promised me a date they’d have it done but then called and said they took it to the water and it would not go anywhere. Nathan said that they couldn’t finish it until next week and if I picked it up and tried to fix it myself I would go at the end of the line and wouldn’t have it for weeks. As this was Fri. and I had a party I needed it for planned I picked it up and took it to another dealer. This dealer found water in the oil and a lot of water. They had not taken it apart and dried it completely. Further, the whole idea you have to pull the motor apart is a rip off. The fix is to take out the spark plugs and turn it over to eject the water. Then change the oil 2 times. Turns out the Seadoo now had a broken crankshaft that it did not have when I brought it in to Luther Honda. Somehow in the water test they must have broken it. This broken crankshaft was another $1500 repair bill on top of the $409 they charged for doing nothing. Luther Honda should not had any need to take it apart and dry out every drop of water to prevent damage. Obviously didn’t as there was still water in the oil as verified by the other dealer. I wrote them a letter and told them that I felt an immediate credit should be made to my credit card to correct Luther Honda's error. Otherwise I advised them that I would seek help in Dealer Rater and other forums and if this does not work in Small Claims Court. They have so far ignored my letter. Sincerely, James Marmas More

We had a surprisingly pleasant experience buying our new 2012 Accord from Luther Honda of St. Cloud. Our salesman, Westley David, was knowledgeable, supportive, and followed through with all he'd promised. 2012 Accord from Luther Honda of St. Cloud. Our salesman, Westley David, was knowledgeable, supportive, and followed through with all he'd promised. He babysat our car, so to speak, as it went through the dealer preparation phase and kept us apprised of the progress. The staff members we met were friendly and fair throughout the negotiations process. All of this was important to us as customers. More
Salesman did not know vehicle options and had to reference vehicle sales book. Salesman said the DVD play could play blu ray however we found out when we got home it only plays old DVDs . It was th reference vehicle sales book. Salesman said the DVD play could play blu ray however we found out when we got home it only plays old DVDs . It was the last day of October, and e could not make in to sign papers. He pressured my wife to come to our home to sign papers after she told him it was a bad night because of Halloween and we were expecting friends later that evening. Very pushy. Dealership had to make dealer trade to get vehicle we wanted. Originally the trade was with a Minneapolis dealership. I requested vehicle to be trailered, sales,an said they do not trailer when they are so close. The vehicle ended up coming from Fargo and was not trailered so it arrived with 200 miles on it. We also bought the fabric protection because of kids and pets. Dealership could not present actual warranty information on the day we took it home and stated it would come in the mail, you guessed it we are still waiting. More
I bought a vehicle for over $20000 three days ago and found my rotors were worn out, rusted and the pads are thin because I felt vibration when I pressure the brake and took a long time to reduce the spe found my rotors were worn out, rusted and the pads are thin because I felt vibration when I pressure the brake and took a long time to reduce the speed, the coolant level is below minimum. So I went to talk to the service manager and ask him to have the rotors replaced and top off the coolant because the salesman told me they had the car inspected and the recommended maintenance was performed ( also reported in the CARFAX). The manager was rude and told me that they are only responsible for doing the inspection for the vehicle(so they did not do the maintenance but they reported in the CARFAX) because it was a used one, he emphasis the rotors and pads passed the inspection so although whatever the rotors are like, they will not change for me, and if I want to have the rotors changed, I need to pay myself. I was unhappy so I asked the used car manager to have my returned (they have 5 day exchange/return policy), and the used car manager said they will change "one aftermarket rotor" for me, I let them do the work (tired of talking to them) and drove back my car ( they also did not top off the coolant for me until I double check my vehicle and told them to). Next day I went to a auto care shop certified by BBB and had my brakes checked. The result was so bad. Both front pads and rotors worn thin( pads left less than 10% while they told me there are 40% left), Rear pads and RR rotor were worn out, and since they only changed one rotor for me without changing the pad, the pad is actually scratching the new rotor! I paid $500 more to let them change both the rotors and pads just to ensure my safety on the road. I will never recommend this dealership especially the service department to anyone, I could have my vehicle returned in fact however I feel I would no longer interested in doing the process with them. Just be careful when you buy a car, especially when they trying to make you believe that the vehicle is well maintained. Check every single components or you would have the chance to spend much more time to let them fix for you after you bought it, quote their words "but you bought it". More
We visited this dealership after finding a vehicle that looked like what we wanted on their website. We had the intention to purchase during this visit if the vehicle was in good condition. In our experien looked like what we wanted on their website. We had the intention to purchase during this visit if the vehicle was in good condition. In our experience, the test driving of the vehicle and reviewing of other vehicles on the lot felt fine. We, of course, felt a small amount of pressure from the salesman, but were not too overwhelmed, as we had come in with the clear intent to purchase the particular vehicle. Our experience went sour once we started the purchasing process. We understood that we visited and decided to purchase on a Saturday afternoon, a busy time, but the time commitment and inconsistent communication about this commitment was frustrating. We did not expect to spend nearly an hour and a half in the waiting room to move forward with purchasing the car, nor were we told that was how long we would end up waiting. Again, we recognize that the people who worked with us ended up needing to stay past closing time, as did we, to finalize the sale. We had been given a checklist of the vehicle buying process that included a review of features in the car, which did not take place. We were ushered out once we signed off the purchase agreement. Moreso, we felt disappointed in not feeling taken care of. We got into our new vehicle without an overview of features, only a quarter tank of gas, marker dots on the headlights that we were told would have been removed in the final cleaning and without a spare key. We raised the question of a spare key during the discussion with sales and financing, which we were told we could purchase for an additional $150, making us feel nickel and dimed. When you spend over $20,000 on a vehicle, it is frustrating to drive your vehicle off the lot to a gas station so you can fill the tank. Even more frustrating is not receiving a spare key. If we purchased from a private party, we understand we get what we get. However, when we purchased from a dealership where you have the capability to produce a spare key, it does not make sense for one to not be included. Finally, we submitted detailed feedback about this experience and never received a reply. Meanwhile, we continue to receive emails from the various Honda/Luther branches that our information has been shared with. We continue to unsubscribe and yet, find ourselves on new lists that we didn't know we were added to. We do not plan on going back to this dealership and would not recommend them based on our experience. More
This dealership has gone so far downhill since being taken over by Luther. I made my appointment for my oil change for 8am, since I have 3 little ones, and needed to be home quickly for morning naps.
