Yesterday I bought a new car at Park Place Motors in Rochester and I have never felt so confidant about my decision! Many times we feel rushed to buy a car, however, this experience allowed me to make a very smart decision. After deciding on the car I was going to buy, Eric took the time to show and teach me how to use the features of my new car. One thing I felt let down on was sales ability to know the product. I left the lot with a VW Routan not knowing various details about option functions. I had such a positive experience in buying my brand new 2011 Kia Sorento! I've never bought a vehicle where I was explained all of the vehicle features and showed how they work! It had been 10 years since my wife Theresa and I have looked to purchase a new vehicle. After a year of research and comparison we decided on the KIA Sportage (or so we thought). After a very disappoin looked to purchase a new vehicle. After a year of research and comparison we decided on the KIA Sportage (or so we thought). After a very disappointing visit to a closer KIA dealership,(to much hype, price not negotiable, and a feeling that they did not want our business), a phone call to Ron at Park Place Motors changed our outlook. Most of our deal on what type of vehicle, options colors, price, was done over the phone and via e-mail. Within 24 hours Ron called me back and said he can get the vehicle and at my price. This started on a Monday and the only window for us to drive the 200 miles to Park Place was Thursday. Upon arriving, we were immediately treated like old friends, The Sportage was waiting ready to go. Before we started the "paper work", Ron asked if we had considered the Sorento, our reply was "out of our price range", He gave us the key's to a Sorento with the same options and said take it for a test drive and see what you think, while he did some figuring. We both loved the Sorento, and wondered why he would be doing this, all the while thinking there was a "catch". Well the only "catch" was with the rebates and incentives on this vehicle, we were able to buy the Sorento,( with more options included) for the same price as the Sportage!(the first dealer did not mention this). Thanks to Ron Thrune, and all of the employees at Park Place Motors in Rochester, MN. They made our car buying experience one that we will not soon forget! From being treated like friends, to making us a deal that was unexpected and beneficial. I have already and will continue to tell everybody in need of a vehicle to give this dealership a call. James did a very nice job of explaining the features of the car, very knowledgeable about the different programs and had a good recover when the picking up of the car did not go smoothly. I was looking for a new vehicle because we now have two daughters who are driving. I had gone in to just test drive vehicles and ended up coming home with a new Serento.
