My wife and I bought a used CRV from Luther Kia of Bloomington in November 2024. All of the staff we worked with the day we bought it were pleasant and there was no pressure. Unfortunately, our experience after that day has not gone well. On the way home from the dealership we noticed a howling noise at highway speeds that we didn’t notice during the test drive. We took the vehicle to our mechanic the following day and learned there was a wheel bearing that needed replacing and the U-joints were in poor condition, so the drive shaft also needed replacing. We called the dealership that same day to tell them what was found and to see what could be done. We spoke to the Used Car Sales Manager who blamed us for not noticing the issue during the test drive. One of his comments was, “What did you expect, you bought a car with 100k miles on it.” What we had expected was better customer service and the dealership to stand by their service and inspection of the vehicle prior to sale. Had we known we would need to invest $2000 of repairs into the car immediately after purchase, we would have looked at something else. The used car manager said we could bring the car back to the dealership to be looked at but they wouldn't fix anything they didn’t deem to be a safety issue. Since there was no guarantee we would get anything from the dealership if we brought it there, we had mechanic do the repairs instead. We then reached out to the general manager of the dealership expressing our disappointment with the used car manager and asked what could be done to resolve our issue. After some back and forth and his review of the invoice from our mechanic, he agreed to meet us halfway on the repair costs and said they would be sending us a check. That was in mid-December. It is now March and we still haven’t received any reimbursement. We have reached out to the general manager multiple times and he is not responding. This has been a poor experience that could have been handled so much better. We will not be buying from Luther again. More
Jim was a very straight forward and direct sales person that gave honest straight answers to my questions. He was a pleasure to work with and he spent a significant amount of time explaining the car's tech that gave honest straight answers to my questions. I would be very comfortable buying another car from him. And the business office supporting Jim was also a pleasure to work with. They handled the transaction as I desired and did not add on any unrequested services or charges. More

I will now be a forever customer with Bloomington Kia . and again please employee of the year goes to this young man people like him are rare . he is so well mannered as well just WOOOOOOOW ! More

Previously Luther Kia of Bloomington received a A plus rating when I bought the car. The second time I came in to get the paint protectsnt put on my car they said to drive to the dealership and they woul rating when I bought the car. The second time I came in to get the paint protectsnt put on my car they said to drive to the dealership and they would get it to the other place. When I arrived they wanted me to take ot there. I am not used to driving in the Twin Cities so driving it to a place 20-30 minutes away was unacceptable. They ended up driving the car along with me to the service place. The service place said it might not get done because late. But it was not late. I made it to where I was told to go on time. So the second situation gets a C plus. The last issue has been horrible. I went to a Kia dealer not Luther Kia and got my oil changed. They either did not know how to reset the oil or just did not do it. I asked Luther Kia for help and they tried. Unable to do it even tho I followd their dorections. Took car to a local dealership and they reset it 1st time they did the oil but not the second time. The guy working the second time said it was greyed out and could not do it. I asked Luther Kia of Bloomington to talk to where I got my oil changed and help them do it. They refused me by way of text after me calling two times. I gave Luther Kia of Bloomington a A plus when I bought the car but now they get a F. I want to change the F back to a A plus. But they said they would no longer try to help with the dituation. I am not great woth cars. I wanted them to help the dealership where I go locally to do it and they refised. I am not stupid. I am a professional. So it is hard for me and if it hard for other dealerships that change oil then they should help the other dealership do it and not tell me not to ask for help. More
I just recently purchased a used car with Christine. I still love my used new car. They've honored and worked with me on a few things per our purchase agreement. I am still working with them on another thing and I've had a great experience so far with different departments a of the Luther group in general. I absolutely love my new driver seat that was redone! It matches the other factory seats and it looks and feels really good. The quality, craftsmanship, and assembly of the seat is absolutely superb! I've never in my life have been this excited about any seat! I can genuinely feel and my experience thus far have only been great with an emphasis on making sure I am satisfied. More
8:45AM: My son took his 2019 Kia into Kia of Bloomington (KoB)a few weeks ago for a scheduled factory recall service and found out they ran out of the parts, so he had to reschedule for 5-30-24. On Friday 5 (KoB)a few weeks ago for a scheduled factory recall service and found out they ran out of the parts, so he had to reschedule for 5-30-24. On Friday 5-31-24 he got his car back and noticed on Sunday that antifreeze was spraying and dripping out on his exhaust manifold, leaving very little antifreeze left in the radiator. We called KoB on Monday morning and was told that we could bring it back in on June 13th, 10 days away with no car to use. I am stunned that KoB doesn’t jump on this situation immediately. Due to their repair work, it has been a big inconvenience to us, and it could have and still could result in a much bigger repair, if the engine ran out of antifreeze and lock up. My expectations were thinking they would say how sorry they were and send out a tow truck, so the situation doesn’t get worse and get us in right away. Who knows, maybe they will surprise us yet by doing the right thing. 3:30PM, car is fixed. They did do the right thing. Oscar Diaz, the original advisor called me back within an hour or so this morning. He said to bring it in and they would take care of it, and they did. We still need to pick the car up, but Oscar assured me that it is now fixed correctly. Thanks Oscar! More

Even though I did not have an appointment, Mr. Mattson accepted my car. I explained the problem. Mr. Mattson offered to look at my car. Mr. Mattson is a perfect human being, and a superb service adviser. He said that this could be a $600 repair, and he added," let's see what we can do". He looked at my car and called upon a technician. The technician's name is Mr. Tristan. He started looking at my car. While I was talking with Mr. Mattson, the technician returned and said," the problem is fixed". I could not believe it. My leaking hose was fixed. In addition, Mr. Mattson did not charge me. Mr. Mattson and Tristan are great human beings and really knowledgeable. I can only say, "Mr. Mattson, thank you, and Mr. Tristan, thank you." Thanks to Kia of Bloomington. More
