God Bless Sandie Fuller and Ann Shirley who worked together to get my daughter and her 2003 ORANGE Beetle convertible into the service department as she had experienced a tire BLOW OUT at 6:30 am whil together to get my daughter and her 2003 ORANGE Beetle convertible into the service department as she had experienced a tire BLOW OUT at 6:30 am while driving to the school where she is a Special Education teacher. The accident happened when the front passenger tire hit a rather deep POT HOLE on a poorly lit stretch of highway near Shakopee, MN. Triple A made the initial rescue of my stranded daughter, changed the tire, put on the spare (which had never been out of the trunk), instructed my daughter to drive to a nearby service station and fill it completely with air--AND she made it to school on time! After attending to the necessary meetings and completing school paperwork, my daughter arrived at the appointed hour at Burnsville VW. Sandie had made all the arrangements and Ann executed the work. My daughter was kept in the loop while reading and grading papers in the customer lounge. AND, I was also kept in the loop as my daughter provided me with play-by-play of all of the conversation involving the repair. Two new tires were placed on the front wheels, the "good" tire from the driver's side was place in the trunk (to be saved in case something happens to a rear wheel)--it will live in the garage until such time that it may be needed....POT HOLE SEASON can last at least two more months!! The cashier called me and I provided my credit card information. My daughter was handed the receipt and was headed home to have a bowl of soup with crackers. THE END More
I leased a 2014 Jetta from Linda Radue. This is the second vehicle that Linda helped me with. The other car was a purchased 2012 Jetta. Linda did a very good job on transactions. I had brought in my second vehicle that Linda helped me with. The other car was a purchased 2012 Jetta. Linda did a very good job on transactions. I had brought in my 2008 Jetta for service with Ann Shirley. Ann has always been very help. Additional repair were needed on the 2008 Jetta so Ann and Linda helped get me into a leased 2014 Jetta. All the employees involved were very helpful and I would highly recommend this dealership. All the service people have done a great job. Thank You! More
I went in for an express oil change and, while I was there, asked about what looked like oil on one of the radiator fans. Ann looked at it and had the mechanic who was to do the oil change look at it. there, asked about what looked like oil on one of the radiator fans. Ann looked at it and had the mechanic who was to do the oil change look at it. It turned out that someone before had taken the turbo pipe off and replaced it without the mounting hardware. He put the hardware back on with some spare parts and only charged me labor. More

From the check-in personnel, to the service advisors, to the cashiers - am always treated like a valued customer. Love the comfortable waiting area and complimentary beverages and cookies. Can't say enough about Ann Shirley - truly a professional who wins my return business every time. The only complaint I have is that the online service website continues to show a service advisor who also gave great service, but who hasn't worked there for several years since the dealership was located on Cliff Road (Borie). What is with that?!! I am always worried I am somehow using an outdated website! More

Rachael is the best. She's thorough, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I was only there to have keys programmed but she completely explained the process and kept me informed throughout. Jay Radue, the General Manager at Luther Burnsville Volkswagen saw my e-mail for help last Sunday. My Sportwagen front passenger window was broken to gain access and steal my Garmin GPS in the vehicle. Volkswagen saw my e-mail for help last Sunday. My Sportwagen front passenger window was broken to gain access and steal my Garmin GPS in the vehicle. Jay saw my e-mail and called me. I explained what happened while visiting our daughter in South Minneapolis on Sunday morning. Jay met me at the dealership. He opened his shop and we put my car inside. I got a loaner/rental car from Jay so I could travel home to Albert Lea Sunday night. On Monday morning, Service Manager, Sandy Fuller had Luther's glass specialists scheduled to visit the shop to replace my window. My car window was replaced, the car was thoroughly cleaned by their detail specialists at Burnsville VW, and I was ready to pick up my car by Monday evening. While this extraordinary service of coming to my aid on a Sunday may seem unusual, Jay Radue and all of his team make this extraordinary service an ordinary routine, a habit you might say. What that means is that I always receive outstanding service at Luther Burnsville VW. Jay Radue saved me from an unfortunate situation. Ninety miles from home, sub-zero temperatures, Sunday, and no answers at window repair shops, the insurance company, or at AAA. No this was not ordinary, it is extraordinary! We bought our car with around 40,000 miles on it and the dealership warranty expired at 74,000 miles. We noticed very high oil consumption and on one oil change there was ZERO oil in the car. We brought i dealership warranty expired at 74,000 miles. We noticed very high oil consumption and on one oil change there was ZERO oil in the car. We brought it in twice under warranty, but were told that adding a quart of oil every 1000 miles was "normal". If you have owned a car in the 21st century you know that is untrue. We repeatedly expressed our concern that there was something bigger going on and we wanted it fixed while we were still covered under the warranty. Reluctantly, we left the Burnsville dealership when we were told that was not the case. We were called a few months later and asked if we wanted to sell the car back to Burnsville Volkswagon because they were in need of more 2008 Passat's. We were beyond tired of adding oil 3-4 times on our own in between oil changes so we went. We were offered $8000 for a trade-in on our car. Only $3000 less than what we still owed on it. Sadly we had to pass on the offer. Fast forward to 76,000 miles (2000 above our warranty) when we brought the car to another place to get the oil changed and we were told there was oil leaking to nearly every part of the car. We were told by that company that this is a common problem with the 2.0 Turbo and that there was no way this could not have been detected 4-5000 miles ago. We quickly reached our to Burnsville Volkswagon and asked the friendly team we had worked with many times before if this something we could have covered. We were told this was out of their hands and we would have to take it up with customer service. Rather than doing us any favors they sent their report to Volkswagon claiming they did not believe this occurred under warranty. Fortunately, customer service believed us and asked us to send in proof that we had been there twice under warranty. They asked us to scan and email the documents to them. 2 weeks ago (a few months after we sent the email) I received a response telling me to bring the car back in to have them make the official diagnosis. We brought the car in today and left it for Burnsville to Diagnose the problem on behalf of Volkswagon. They called us at the end of the day to let us know there were 3 different places where oil was leaking and the repairs would range between $700-$800. Keep in mind the oil is not decreasing any faster now than it was when we originally brought it in. Three separate leaks that occurred in the last 10,000 miles should increase that rate. We said we didn't want to fix it and we would like to look at a trade in value. They told us they would take it for $5000. Let me get this straight. 10,000 more miles and a $700-$800 repair brings the value of the car down $3000 in a 6 month period. I checked their lot and they are selling two similar cars between $10,000-$12,000. I would like to know how this is not viewed as a total scam. We buy a car for $17,000 that we could have bought for $12-14,000 from a private party because we wanted to have the assurance from a dealership. We find a major problem while we are under warranty about a year after owning the car and are told there is nothing wrong with it. As we near the warranty they offer to buy it from us for less that it is worth. We clear the warranty and all of the sudden there is a "brand new problem" they didn't see before that is causing the oil to disappear. When we approach them with the problem they offer to buy it for even less (less than half of it's value and what they are selling it for themselves.) My wife and I plan to contact customer service and give them an opportunity to right this wrong. If they choose not to we will fix this car through a private party and drive it until it dies. During that time we will alert every social media outlet the two of us are involved in of the problems at Luther Volkswagon in Burnsville. We will also use our car as a billboard to alert people that Volkswagon does not honor their warranties. More
This is an excellant dealer and about as good as they come. All VW dealers are notorious for being expensive when it comes to service so I can't single out Luther and, after all, I knew this before I bou come. All VW dealers are notorious for being expensive when it comes to service so I can't single out Luther and, after all, I knew this before I bought the car. $75 for an oil change is probably a good indicator of what other services will cost me in the future. My service agent was the most polite and eager to please as I have evr encountered in my 45 years of bringing my cars to dealers. It was my 3rd time dealing with him and each time he fully dedicated his attention to me until he was certain I was satisfied with his performance and the transaction. More
