When we were quoted our price for new tires. Everything was itemized including things like labor and tax. But then we were hit with the added cost of tire alignment. If you are upfront about all other costs, why wouldn’t you include tire alignment in that up front projected costs. It seemed incredibly inconsiderate to not have that disclosed to the customer. And especially thinking about the customer who would not normally know that a tire alignment would be necessary when purchasing new tires, full disclosure cost projections would only help your customer retention and also lead them to suggesting Luther for both sales and service. I brought my car in because it had battery troubles. Turns out there was a remote start that had been incorrectly installed by the previous owner that was draining the battery. Mazda took absolutely no responsibility for this, even though they did not tell me about this remote start before I purchased the vehicle. They removed the remote start to stop the battery drain. I talked to the used car sales manager to see if they would pay for this repair. He did not care what I had to say. All he tried to do was convince me that a remote start was a feature I should want on my vehicle, and refused to pay for the repair. They offered me $100 off on the repair. I have bought my last 3 cars from this dealer and I won’t be buying my next one here. I’ve also had family members purchase cars here. That is how much my decade long business is worth to them - $100. Will not be coming back. More

I can’t say enough great things about Kevin in the service department. He has taken the time to answer my questions and help me to understand a lot of things about my car, When I had randomly stopp service department. He has taken the time to answer my questions and help me to understand a lot of things about my car, When I had randomly stopped by because my map light had burned out, he pointed out that it was under warranty and we set up an appointment. He also took the time to be proactive and make sure that the part was available for my upcoming appointment. While there is a dealer and service center much closer to my home, as long as I continue to get outstanding service I will continue to go just a bit further to Brookdale Luther Mazda. Thank you service team for being so awesome. I hope they appreciate you all. I know, I do! More
They provided me with a nicer model of our mx5 when we took ours in for dent removal. It took a few days longer than expected but I was fine with that due to the killer loaner we were provided. I was disappointed with my sales person not being upfront with the details. They approached me while I was getting an oil change and told me they were interested in buying my car and wanted to crunch some nu with the details. I still had a year left on my Mazda CX-5 lease. Naturally , I was interested but once numbers were given to me— they were pretty high and they also wanted me to put money down initially.. which I thought was not cool since THEY approached me. I ended up with a 2021 Mazda CX-5 touring model— the car is great of course. When I went to sign the paperwork— the details came out. I had to roll over about 2500 I still owed from my previous lease into my new lease— but they didn’t not tell me that until I was signing paperwork. I was pissed. Also, of course they didn’t mention the gap insurance which adds on a good chunk to the monthly payment. I felt like I got completely taken advantage of because I was a woman, and honestly.. I didn’t know better. If I would have known they weren’t really buying the car off of me and that the additional $2500 from my old lease was not covered— I absolutely would not have gone along with it. I was very upset and talked to my sales person, Eric.. who was apologetic and tried to offer me some add-ons free of charge but to be honest, an extra $200 for some floor mats or whatever it was, definitely didn’t do it for me. Plus, I told him and Sal ( Sal did reach out too) I wasn’t looking for free “xxxx” anyways— not my style. All I said is that I wish I could take it all back— but at this point it was too late— I had already signed and spent a long time at the dealership. Like I said, they did try to make it right, but honestly I’m not interested in freebies for the car — it’s a lease anyways. I felt stupid and taken advantage of in this typical car sale situation. I learned a valuable lesson. I love the car and have previously enjoyed leasing, but I’m not sure what I will do going forward. Eric is nice and I have liked working with him prior to this situation— and he was just doing his job but yeah— it was disappointing for me. More
