I brought my van in to have both electric sliding doors fixed. I decided that it was too expensive to have them fixed such that they would still work electrically, so I asked if the motors could be discon fixed. I decided that it was too expensive to have them fixed such that they would still work electrically, so I asked if the motors could be disconnected and have the doors fixed such that they would just work manually. The service advisor said yes they could do that and it would cost $1700. They ordered the parts (fix attempt #1) for which I had to wait several days. Once the parts arrived, I was told that they were not the parts that were needed. So they proceeded to fix the doors with parts they already had in stock (fix attempt #2). I came to pick up the van and they said the bill was $700, not $1700. Great! I went to drive my van home, but tried the sliding doors before I left. Neither one would open from the outside. I got the service advisor to come out to the parking lot and try the doors and he agreed that they clearly don't work. So I left the van for them to fix it again (fix attempt #3). They finally fixed both doors properly and the bill came to $2200. Three attempts to fix doors such they will open and close manually seems a bit much. Also the price fluctuated wildly. More
