I took my Grand Cherokee Overland in for a terrible electric issue that was causing my vehicle to stall. They set their top guys on it, and the Jeep resisted. Dave called and filled me in; told me that they were still drilling on the issue, and that my rental car was waiting. That's right- he rented a car for the weekend in order to keep me mobile. Long story short, they fixed it. Dave called me and said it was fixed, tested, and ready. I drove to the dealership feeling like my life savings was about to be stripped from me.. Not the case- I drove out with a big smile, and a flawlessly working Jeep. Absolutely amazing.. They made phone calls to credit companies on our behalf right toward the close of the evening, gave us great deals to help "push us over" on our decision to buy, laughed and told stories as we finalized about an hours worth of paperwork, and were very down-to-earth. When I had to take my car into the service department for the first time, Brad was very kind and upbeat. He was friendly, professional, very timely, and thorough, as was everyone at the dealership. I am very picky about good service, especially when it comes to cars. They are a big and important purchase and part of our lives, so I like to be treated well. Our experience at Luther Brookdale Chrysler Jeep Dodge was much better than I expected. I have never owned a new Jeep, or Chrysler product and hadn't planned to. Our last car was a Lexus, so comrfort was an issue. I talked to Jason and the following day my wife talked to William, not realizing I had already made contact with and set up a follow up visit with Jason. Both Jason and William handled the situation very professionally and with courtesy. I was made to feel very comfortable and was impressed with the way they handled the misunderstanding with humor and professionalism. We will recommend this dealership to our friends and relatives. I was leery of using them due to a problem I had with my Dodge Caravan where I was ahcrged $340 and the problem was not fixed. Well now I had requested they reprogram the tcm because there was a service bulletin about issues after a transmission fluid change. That was the issue I was having so that had to be the issue. They claimed they never heard such a thing, even though they are a Chrysler dealer. They belittled me for "thinking I was a mechanic" and that they would do the reprogram, but then would need to charge me another $120 (so $240 total) to make sure nothing else was wrong and ther probably would be, according to David. He claimed that it was sure to be an expensive repair. How he knew this I don't know because he hadn't looked under the hood or test drove it! At any rate I was not comfortable leaving it there so I went elsewhere. The Transmission shop in Golden Valley knew exactly what I was talking about and said it was a very common problem in Chryslers! Guess what they charge for the reprogramming? $20!! So Brookdale Chrysler Jeep wanted to make sure I had an expensive issue and wanted at least $240 for something they admit they are not knowledgeable about and it got fixed in 15 minutes at the Transmission shop for $20. Do not use Luther Brookdale Jeep Chrysler unless you want to pay way too much and probably not have your problem repaired. Also, women should not use this company. They seem to think women are stupid. I bet if a man had come in and requested the reprogramming they'd have just done it with no argument! Although they would have overcharged the men, too. I recommend that no one ever use them for servicing your car! More
