My experience at Brookdale Luther was positive except for one piece. My salesperson, Adam, was so kind and helpful. I spent a lot of time researching this car and went to several dealerships prior to coming one piece. My salesperson, Adam, was so kind and helpful. I spent a lot of time researching this car and went to several dealerships prior to coming to Brookdale, making sure that I was getting the best deal. Adam was WONDERFUL and respectful of my time and research throughout the whole process as was Clyde with helping me get into my new car. None of the men treated me like I was a chick buying a car. They treated me as a serious customer. My only issue was with the new car sales manager trying to "push" me into the deal, saying I really didn't want to spend any more time when I could just get the car now. I left after that remark. I committed my time specifically to finding the right car. I was in no hurry. I do not need to be told how I want or do not want to spend my time. That is my decision. I did end up coming back the next day, which was because Adam was so wonderful and because the sales manager reached out and did call me. She was great when we were able to get beyond the prior day's comment. Please don't tell people how they feel or how they should spend their time. All that did was make me mad. All else was fabulous! I will say that Scott D is the best salesman I have ever worked with. He listened to me and gave me more options than needed. The process of buying my New Malibu ='s the easiest!!!! The person who answered the phone was willing to discuss my options on the phone while I made a service appointment. An open time slot was available within a day or two and was convenient to me. The service writer who greeted me was pleasant, knowledgable, and efficient. He found an online coupon I was not aware of and applied its savings. The dealership looked great and so did my truck. Scott and Andrew were helpful and knowledgeable in providing the.information I needed and wanted about the vehicle I was considering buying. Due to their efficiency, expertise and low pressure methods providing the.information I needed and wanted about the vehicle I was considering buying. Due to their efficiency, expertise and low pressure methods I ended up purchasing my 2012 Sonic LTZ from them rather than the dealer I originally visited. The deal they put together was straightforward and easy to understand and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable with the terms. One welcome perk was the new car washes for life offer that came with the purchase. I will for sure use this often, and unreservedly recommend this dealership to anyone considering a new car purchase. More
AVOID THIS PLACE!! Worst car shopping experience ever...I do not normally post reviews online but I need to vent. So my wife and I were interested in this 2012 Chevy Malibu they have had on their ever...I do not normally post reviews online but I need to vent. So my wife and I were interested in this 2012 Chevy Malibu they have had on their website for the last two months at a competitive price. Today, my nine month pregnant wife decides that yes, she'd like to go see this car even though the dealership is almost two hours away from us. So I call the dealership first thing in the morning and I talk with salesman Pat R., and I ask a bunch of questions about the car while saying "my wife is nine months pregnant so we want to make sure we like it before we drive over to test it". Then I call him back after discussing it with my wife and I say that "yes, we're going to drive over, we'll be there a little after 12pm, can you hold the car for us since we're making such a long trip and taking a risk with my wife who is about ready to pop out a baby any minute?". Pat the Salesman replies, "sure, no problem I will hold it in back for you." So we hit the road. We made good time so we were there early and before noon; however, five minutes before we get to the dealership Pat the Salesman calls and says "I couldn't hold it so it was being sold, sorry." My heart sank. I couldn't believe it. What happened??! He tells me that they can't actually "hold" cars and that when he said that he could "hold it" he meant "putting the car in back to get cleaned up". That makes no sense. I clearly said in our earlier conversations that we were only driving over if he could hold the car for two hours because of my wife being so pregnant that we weren't going to bother driving that far and risk it not being there. So then me, being upset (along with my wife who was actually the one buying a car for herself), walk in there and ask him in person what the deal is and he says "sorry, some other couple is buying it right now". My wife and I were ticked. We wasted the whole day to drive over there and for nothing. Even worse, Pat kept going to talk to the sales manager, Kyle Hermann, trying to get us some deal (to make things right) on other cars we didn't want, but Kyle didn't have the courtesy, or xxxxx to come talk to us face to face. So, we drive home. When I get home, I go on their website and sure enough the car is still listed as IN STOCK, so I chat with a different salesman, Scott (who was there in the dealership while we were there this morning and knew what was going on) and I ask "is this black Malibu still in stock?" He replies, "let me check.......yes it is. Would you like to take a look at it?" CAN YOU BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE?! I then say, "really, we were there this morning and the car was being sold even though it was supposed to be on hold for us." Then he says, "oh, yeah it was sold earlier." I think they plant cars online with good prices to get people in to the dealership - then they tell the would-be customers that the car they were interested in has been sold, and then try to sell them other cars at higher prices. That would be bad enough, but it is even worse when they flat out lied to us by saying to us before we made the trek over: "Yes, it is in stock, and we can hold it for you." They were well aware of the distance we were traveling and how we were only going to do it if they held it for us. Further evidence that they plant cars on their website is that they have had a 2011 Malibu at a very low price on their website for the last two weeks, yet every time I ask if it is in stock they say "yes it is" followed by "oh wait, that one is not in stock, look at this similar car..." Then they give some lame excuse for how it takes a few days to remove a car from their website and they aren't sure why that is. I'm no computer geek but I doubt it takes two weeks to remove a sold car from your website. It probably involves clicking the "delete" button. This place is so sleazy. Avoid the games. I am honestly angry, which is not common for me. This kind of dealership, and the way they run business is what gives car salesmen a bad reputation. They fake nice but they are just interested in sales, even if that means poor ethics and morals. I seriously don't know how they sleep at night. I'd want to kill myself if I had to be that sleazy and deceitful all days just to sell a car. More
I bought a Tahoe from Brookdale Chev last spring. Problem one,I was assured it had the heavy duty tow package on it and was told by the sales person that in fact it absolutely had that package. Turns out it one,I was assured it had the heavy duty tow package on it and was told by the sales person that in fact it absolutely had that package. Turns out it did not have the package which was one of the major reasons I bought it in the first place. I had to convince the salesmen that it didn't have that package, he finally gave in and admitted that it didn't have the HD towing package. Problem 2, It was a certified vehicle which are suppose to have not had any damage, upon close inspection it was obvious that it had been in a fender bender, the fender had been repainted, and the third row seat would not stay up. Problem 3, They said it had heated seats on it in their advertisement but it did not. To which they sold me after market heated seats. Half Price! Problem 4 I go to takeoff from the dealership, and there is no spare key or fob, and no floor mats. Of course these are items that they say are part of certified experience, inspected right down to the floor mats! They set me up after the fact with floor mats, and a spare key (no Fob), Stuff that should have been taken care of during the certified inspection. In the end all I wanted was a $300 transmission cooler installed, but they wouldn't budge. Of course they said I could bring it back, but unfortunately my trade-in was gone and all they could do was give me my money back, which would leave me without a vehicle. Or, they could sell me a new one for 10k more than the one I bought! Where do I sign?! In the end, If you want salesmen who don't know what they are selling, and management who won't fix problems that are their fault, or your looking for the old bait and switch, go to Brookdale Chev, if not find another dealer. I won't be back. More
I bought my new Chevy Cruze at Luther Brookdale although I live in a more distant city. Tyler and the rest of the team made the buying process so easy, exciting and best of all affordable. All my questions I live in a more distant city. Tyler and the rest of the team made the buying process so easy, exciting and best of all affordable. All my questions were answered a long with question I didn't even know to ask. Previously owning a junker car I have a lot more gadgets to figure out with my new car. I was walked through every feature on the car so when I drove it off the lot I felt comfortable driving it already. After purchasing my car I'm a Luther member with perks all over that are beneficial to me. I would and will be recommending friends and family to them. More
