Best car buying experience ever! My new 2017 Civic is the 8th vehicle in the 20 years (17 years legally) I've owned. I have dealt with many dealerships in three different states, and My new 2017 Civic is the 8th vehicle in the 20 years (17 years legally) I've owned. I have dealt with many dealerships in three different states, and several in this recent car buying experience of mine. This was, by far, the BEST car buying experience I've ever had! I browsed the site and requested more info/prices on a couple different cars. I received a call and email from Andrew the next day. We talked via email about what I was looking for. I went in and test drove three cars. While I liked them, I wasn't in love with them and I expressed that to Andrew. We talked about other options and he never once pressured me about anything. Andrew said he'd talk to his business manager Connie over the weekend and get back to me. In that time I checked out a few other cars and dealerships. One of the dealerships was pretty bad but the other was good. I still felt conflicted though and once again went home to mull over my options. I got an email from Andrew about being approved for a newer Civic than the one I test drove. I went in and took it for a spin and WOW. I was in love pretty much immediately. There was still no pressure from Andrew, Connie, or anyone else and everyone worked with me to get the amount I wanted for my trade. I've had my Civic for a few days now and I'm absolutely loving it. I've gone back to the dealership to get help from Andrew and he's been great! He truly cares about his customers and their satisfaction. I will definitely recommend Lundgren to anyone looking for a new car! More

Easy & Pleasant. Recommended! I have just leased a Honda FIT (2018) from this dealership. It's my first lease. I had done a lot of research but a newbie is a newbie...let me add I have just leased a Honda FIT (2018) from this dealership. It's my first lease. I had done a lot of research but a newbie is a newbie...let me add that I'd been to several other dealerships and at all of them (except this one) I'd had a distinct feeling of pressure. I did not feel pressured by Lundgren, and only experienced simple friendly help. James Carr was outstanding--very knowledgeable about the car and relaxed in his approach. He put up with my doing 2 test drives and innumerable questions from me. Connie Grabowski in the Finance Office was thorough and patient and didn't mind when I returned the next day to change my mind about something and created a bit of extra work for her. Andrew Merritt popped in once or twice to answer some questions and was equally pleasant and low-key. I never felt pushed and in fact felt I could walk away and come back in a few months if need be, without any pressure at all from them. A big contrast to the other dealers. I've had the car 24 hours so too soon to tell about the long-term, but at the moment I am very pleased and want to thank James and Connie for their assistance. More

My experience at Lundgren Honda was easily the best I've ever had purchasing a car. Before even walking onto the lot, I spent a fair amount of time researching local Honda dealerships. Lundgren is a little more than 30 minutes away from where I live (Amherst), but their customer ratings were so much better than the closest Honda dealer that I decided to take the drive. I'm so happy that I did! Instead of being pounced on by a salesperson, I was left alone as a perused the lot. After walking inside, everyone was welcoming and pleasant. All of the staff I worked with (Scott and Andrew), were easygoing and extremely knowledgeable. Scott took the time to show me several different options, we went on the best test drive I've ever experienced, and he left the decision to buy up to me. And that's ultimately the difference between a family owned dealership like Lundgren and many of their competitors, the goal isn't to simply move vehicles as fast as possible. When I picked up the car, Andrew was equally professional in walking me through the final paper work. Anyone who's purchased a car from a dealership knows that it's usually impossible to drive away without hearing doom and gloom stories about how at some point you're going to experience a litany of scenarios after which you'll hate yourself unless you purchase numerous tiers of extra warranties. Lundgren is simply different! This isn't to say that they won't provide you with information about warranty packages, but you're not locked in an office until you sign onto something extra. In the end, this is simply a place that is centered around the customer experience, so my best advice would be to do what I did and take the drive--even if you're 30 minutes or more away--you won't be disappointed that you did! They were dishonest with me. Lundgren Honda has two locations , One in Auburn and one in Greenfield. I became interested in a vehicle that was located at the Auburn location The website said I could request to view the vehicle in Greenfield. I made arrangements to view the vehicle in Greenfield because it is much closer to my residence In Brattleboro Vermont. Scott was my sales rep and he was fantastic. Very thorough and professional. Unfortunately on that day we could not come to an agreement that would fit into my budget. Approximately five days later I observed that the vehicle that I had been looking at had just had its price lowered by six hundred dollars. This put it more inline with my budget and I felt that I could now make the purchase. I contacted Scott and we conversed on the phone. He was polite and professional and indicated he felt we could make the deal but he would have to speak to Vito Tarantino who is the Manager. The following morning I called Scott back to follow up on the conversation. Scott was not available as he was off for the next two days. I spoke to a sales rep and explained my interest in the vehicle and a concern that if I waited until Scott came back that the vehicle would be sold. The Rep took down my history, the numbers exchanged with Scott and said he would speak to Vito and call me back. A short time later the rep called back and said he spoke with Vito who said that he checked and the vehicle sold yesterday. I called up to the Auburn location and spoke with the Sales Manger there. I told him of the vehicle I had looked at and asked if it had in fact been sold. The Sales Manager stated that it had not sold and was still available. I was surprised at this and told him of my conversation with the Greenfield location . He indicated that he had no idea why Greenfield would have told me it was sold. He confirmed it was listed in the computer system as available and confirmed that no holds had been placed on the vehicle since last week. I inquired if anyone from the Greenfield dealership had called that morning to check on the status off the vehicle and he confirmed that nobody had. The Sales Manager was wonderful on the phone with me. He placed a hold on the vehicle and I traveled two hours to Auburn. Upon my arrival I was assigned Jayson Navarro as my sales rep. He was fantastic an we negotiated a deal in under an hour. Prior to closing the deal I was speaking with the Sales Manager. I asked him why Greenfield would have told me the car was sold when it was not. He said in all honesty this is what he believed happened. The vehicle that I was looking at had just past sixty days on the lot. After sixty days the price of the vehicle is lowered to below dealer cost. In this case it was $600.00 below dealer cost. He believed that Vito did not want to deal with selling me the vehicle because on his books it would show a $600.00 loss. After purchasing the vehicle I met with the finance department who was great in explaining in detail the transaction. I purchased a gold warranty for the vehicle to protect my investment and after that made plans to meet a runner from the dealership in Springfield Vermont at the Registry the following day. The Next day I met with Ray from the Auburn dealership who was such a great help and a tremendous asset to the company. He made the whole process quick and painless and helped me a great deal. In summary I would say that the Auburn location of Lundgren Honda is a top notch dealership and I would recommend them highly. I could not in good conscience recommend the Greenfield location for several reasons. The first reason is because I believe that I was lied to by Vito regarding the availability of the vehicle. I feel that Vito lied to me to put his personal related business interests above the best interest of the dealership and the customer. To quote an employee from the Auburn location " that is not just bad business, that is horrible business".. The second is that as a result of Vitos actions I was placed in a position where I had to travel four plus hours round trip to purchase the vehicle. This was a major inconvenience to me as I could have gone to the dealership twenty minutes away in Greenfield had they not been dishonest with me to protect a loss on their books. I sent an email to Vito asking for an explanation to the events that transpired several days ago. To date he has never responded. More
