I will NEVER use this service department again… unfortunately- it’s not the 1st time they have tried to “get over” with made up service charges… or Robbie’s infamous “im doing you a favor” line.. I almost feel like it’s policy… soo here’s the story… 1/7/23 My Original Post… The Lugoff Crew is normally super nice… BUT the business policy causes them to RIP OFF the customer.. Sooo I tell service I believed I purchased a service package that has included items (wipers, filters & such)… one would THINK some1 in service would call Fidelity to be sure those services are included.. instead of completing them & THEN calling for approval - only to find out it was NOT included… in addition.. after being told after my included oil change/filter & tire rotation only $80 paid by the package… but the front & back wipers, engine filter & some other filters & full inspection was an additional $263??? I was LIVID… So I requested the wipers & filters removed.. and was still charged $73 for LABOR… the kicker.. We drove STRAIGHT home, 11 miles, and removed the cover to see if MY original filter was put back.. it was.. along with debris & pine needles?? So IF.. the filter was replaced.. would they not dust the compartment out before they put the new filter in?? And IF they put my old one back did they put the pine needles back too?? I say all this with admitting my fault.. the GM App for a new car was giving me advice on what should be included with the maintenance… I was under the impression it was included.. “free”… but Lugoff Chevrolet Service made no attempt to help with any of my misunderstandings.. AND gave me a receipt $100 less than the $260 I was quoted?? So If the total was $340.. my included package paid $80.. the Service person rambled off “what was done” but after I requested to removed the parts… Robbie then gave me a receipt that showed $116 for labor, $56 for parts?? and a $-20 discount.. $70 bucks I didn’t have.. but I misunderstood the App.. so I reluctantly paid it… but I will NEVER use them again… because I have had my ROUTINE oil change before & was NEVER charged ANYTHING… and I have a receipt to prove the oil change labor was FIFTEEN BUCKS??? And over all total was $67… so LUGOFF CHEVROLET is ripping people off.. and they know it… 1/9/23 Update…. I purchase the vehicle at STOKES-TRAINOR in Newberry… when I called them during this fiasco to get an understanding of the maintenance package I purchased… THE AMAZING sales manager I worked with JW… was still just as pleasant & as equally frustrated at the lack of customer service & vehicle care that Lugoff provides… especially to charge me LABOR Fees for wipers & surface filters?? … welp - the very reason I went to Stokes to begin with… Is because they were VERY UPFRONT… and I appreciated that there was no promise of something just to get me in the door.. sooo JW calls me today and THEY - STOKES (simply to make sure I continue to enjoy my sales experience & new car).. will reimburse the trumped up “labor charges” from Lugoff… I told him - Yes, Newberry is a drive.. but I will be getting my service completed in Newberry or one of the Columbia Dealerships in the future… More

Sales experience was great! Easy to make a deal. Service after the sale is lacking significantly. Was given very insufficient expectations for wait times. Was told truck was Easy to make a deal. Was told truck was being detailed but it was run through a local car wash that left scratches in the paint of my brand new vehicle. They did try to repair the damage by having it buffed and waxed. All staff was friendly but overall a disappointing experience. More
