I had an appointment at 7:30am on a Monday. Around lunchtime I called to find out the status of the repair. The person who answered asked if it could be under another name. He finally found it and said I would be called back. At approximately 2:45pm I was told the cat would not be looked at today because 4 techs had called out. I completely understand that but why was I told that hours later when my appointment was at 7:30am? Could they give me a loaner? No but I could pick it up. No, there’s a problem with the car so I will not be picking it up. On Tuesday again around lunchtime I called. The tech had not been able to find the problem yet. I was called back about two hours later. At this point the hoses were spraying so apparently the problem was found. But it’s a 3 hour job so I won’t get the car back again. Can I have a loaner? No we don’t have any. I said you’re a dealership, you have no cars you can give me! She said it’s a small dealership and they only have ten and they’re promised to customers weeks in advance. That’s surprising to me. She was going to speak to her manager to see if she could get me a discount with enterprise. I mentioned how unhappy I was especially with the fact my car was not looked at on Monday and I wasn’t notified until later in the day and that again the car will not be touched today. I mentioned the survey and then a loaner car became available. The car was completed about 9ish the next morning. I believe the work may have been covered under warranty but have not received a straight answer at this point. More
