I purchased a 2023 Subaru Outback from Lou Fusz Subaru in O’Fallon and the entire process has been a major disappointment. During my initial inspection and test drive, we didn’t close because the dealership O’Fallon and the entire process has been a major disappointment. During my initial inspection and test drive, we didn’t close because the dealership was asking far more than Kelley Blue Book. We eventually agreed on a price the next day over the phone, and I drove back to sign, paid $30,000, and brought the car home. The very next morning, as soon as I pulled the vehicle into my driveway, I noticed a large dent on the passenger-side panel. This damage was never disclosed. I had thoroughly inspected the car before signing and there was no damage present at that time. I immediately called the dealership, left a voicemail, and asked for a return call. Days passed with multiple unanswered calls and voicemails. When I finally went to the dealership in person, I was told they would not be doing anything about it. I requested documentation showing the dent existed before the sale, and none was provided. Instead, I was told the sales manager felt the issue didn’t need to be addressed because he believed I had received a “great deal.” After getting nowhere, I asked if I could at least use their dent repair provider at their cost. They eventually agreed and scheduled the appointment. When I arrived, the repair technician immediately stated the dent was too large for paintless dent repair and required full body shop work. Lou Fusz Subaru has continued to refuse any assistance. After paying $30,000 in good faith, I’m left with a damaged car and a dealership that won’t return calls or stand behind their sale. I would strongly advise anyone who values integrity and customer service to take their business elsewhere. More

We live at a distance and this may very well be our last vehicle due to our ages, so it was very important to us to make purchase our new Forester.
