I purchased a new Jeep Grand Cherokee and during the process decided on an extended warranty. The finance guy presented me with a plan that I purchased. Three months later I got a letter from Jeep aski process decided on an extended warranty. The finance guy presented me with a plan that I purchased. Three months later I got a letter from Jeep asking me if I wanted an extended warranty. I called and told them I already had one with them. They said I didn't. They informed me that I purchased a local dealer warranty. This means that all work I have under the plan has to be done at the dealership. As I am retired and travel frequently, this plan has jeopardy because if an issue pops up, I may not be home. Two things as a customer are very frustrating. 1. The Lou Fusz finance guy never told me I was purchasing a local warranty. His dishonesty if very telling. He knew I was retired and travel often. 2. When I later called to express my frustration, my call was never returned. I am now forced to go back to the dealership if I ever have issues with my vehicle under the warranty but other than that, I will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership and I have already caused at least 4 family and friends who have purchased cars to go elsewhere.
