DAMNsel in distress! In that time period however, the vehicle was prone to stalling out. Usually it would restart without incident, but once the engine light came on, I wanted to have it checked out . For obvious reasons, I decided to take it to a CHEVROLET dealership, as opposed to my normal mechanic at Sheehan Pontiac/GM. There is a Lou Bachrodt Chevy location less than 2 miles from my home in Pompano Beach (Fl.) so I took it there. After two days and NO UPDATES on progress, I found out my vehicle had BEEN sitting idle and not yet seen by a mechanic. I retrieved my vehicle on a Friday and drove it to the Coconut Creek (Lou Bachrodt) location on the following Monday. Upon giving all my information, my service rep (John Jimenez) showed me on computer screen the notes that had been entered at the Pompano location. It had only been two days since I picked up from Pompano location, so the reasons for bringing car in were the same but I reiterated the need for the diagnostic testing. He (John) entered additional notes and within a day, I was notified of the problem which was causing vehicle to stall and engine light to come on. It required a replacement of a part. The extended warranty company that I had a servicing contract with (ENDURANCE) denied the claim submitted by Lou Bachrodt. Nevertheless, I authorized the repair. Subsequently, I asked the mechanic to ascertain whether or not the vehicle was shifting properly from 1st to 2nd gear. It was later communicated to me that the mechanic did notice the "hard-shift" when vehicle was travelling under 40miles per hour. I was told that I would need to authorize a transmission tear-down in order to find out what the problem might be. My warranty company said they would only be able to determine whether or not a claim would be paid (if/when) a problem was detected. Ultimately, I went ahead and authorized 8 hours of labor for the tear-down/re-assembling of transmission. There was a bit of back & forth between dealership and warranty company. The transmission needed 3 components replaced and the warranty company opted to send out their own independent inspector., who promptly denied the claim. I wanted to pursue the matter further with warranty company so I asked John to email me an estimate of costs associated with my claim. The warranty company agreed to pay a small fraction of the costs ($700). The remaining balance of nearly $2,400 would be out of pocket expenses. Three and a half weeks later, I was told the vehicle was ready for pick-up. I was thoroughly frustrated to have to pay such a huge amount for car repairs, but when weighing it against having" peace of mind" it seemed a worthy financial sacrifice. Unfortunately, my optimism was premature... Two days later I was convinced that 'something' still wasn't right. I called service rep (John) and was told to try premium gasoline and see if car would drive better. Since I didn't know EXACTLY what the issue was, I did as John suggested and drove car for another week or so. before deciding vehicle needed to go back to Lou Bachrodt. They kept it overnight and told me the next day that it was an entirely different issue that needed fixing...I wasn't happy, but I paid a couple hundred MORE dollars. I pick up car and drive it for a couple of weeks before noticing a "banging around" noise right under the driver's side floorboard. I called..., then I took it in for the THIRD time. Since I couldn't really explain the noise, I asked if a mechanic could/would take it for a drive (with me). The mechanic (Tony) came on the ride along and heard the noise for himself. Hoping that the THIRD time would be the charm, I left the vehicle (((again!))) On December 22, I think...I was told the car was ready, but when I got inside and drove it approximately 2 yards (((YES!...TWO YARDS))) the noise was still there. I looped back around to Service Dept., exited vehicle and asked to see Tony. He came out, got in vehicle and we drove around the lot. When we returned to John's office, Tony said the noise was "80% better, but definitely still there." INCREDUOUSLY, that's a direct quote!.. I was then told it would be after Christmas before they could get to it and given the option to leave it or bring it back, I left it... To my surprise, John called me the next day saying those ALL SO FAMILIAR WORDS: ":your car is ready!" I picked it up and for about four days I breathed a sigh of relief believing that all my SNAFUs/ issues had finally been resolved.. When the fifth day rolled around, the car began to stall again! This time, however, it was not just stalling from the first crank/cold start position. Now it was stalling while I was driving! It literally stalled while I was driving on a 3-lane highway!! When I managed to get it home, it would not move more than 10 feet without violently sputtering to a complete stop. Since my previous visit, I had acquired a diagnostic scanner so I could check for codes on my own. Five codes were registering. I emailed John (@Lou Bachrodt) and told him what was NOW happening with my car.. He told me to "bring it in", but as stated above...the car was NOT drivable. When I told this to John, he said he'd check to see if the Servicing Manager (Casey) would authorize a tow. Within a half hour John called back and asked if I had AAA. Then he said I'd need to have it towed to them. That was Friday, (Dec.30,2016). Over the weekend, I contemplated simply going elsewhere. By now, I was fully convinced that I was a victim of shoddy work, incompetence and/or discrimination. I sought online legal advice and was encouraged to make one FINAL ATTEMPT to work things out amicably with Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet and its Servicing Department. On Monday (Jan 2, 2017) I went in to Lou Bachrodt and asked to speak with the Manager (Casey). I explained my situation and brought to his attention the number of times I'd had to bring vehicle back for repairs. Casey apologized (disingenuously, might I add) for "the inconvenience" then authorized a tow for the vehicle. On (1-3-2017) I was called and told "car is ready". I was reluctant to go pick it up until someone with mechanical knowledge or (at the very least) someone with a 'Y' chromosome could accompany me; which took an additional two days! Are there enough litigious WOMEN out there to warrant who have experienced such an overt display of unprofessionalism by the Service Dept of Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet/Madza? Perhaps when facing class-actions repercussions, they will actually FIX the issues causing codes to register on the scanner, as opposed to just "resetting the codes"...putting unsuspecting women like myself behind the wheel of compromised (and potentially hazardous) vehicles. There is no excuse (with the tools and technology available to them) for mechanics@ Lou Bachrodt to FAIL TO IDENTIFY & FIX my issues over three consecutive visits!! If I hadn't invested in a $195 scanner, & emailed THEM the codes that were coming up...how many 'do overs' would they have had me endure? ...What a shameful commentary in 2017!... More

They claimed that my transmission was the only thing that got damaged and i constantly asked if my battery was ok since they were in the same place basically. It took a month to 'fix it'. I was happy then i realized that my car would not charge. I brought it back to them constantly and the same issue for months. I brought the car to Ed Morse and they told me that my battery was to be replaced when i had the accident but they could not fix it because it because it was Lou Bachrodt issue. It was slowly deteriorating and now my car is a piece of junk. Now they are trying to charge me through the roof with diagnostic fees, labor and a brand new battery for $5000 back ordered for 2 months. All they had to do was to fix my car properly when it had the initial proplem. I hate this dealership and they do not know what they are doing. More
