We apologize for your negative experience. At Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall, we are committed to fair, honest car buying and servicing experiences. We appreciate your frustration. After investigating this further, we found that the vehicle was in a significant enough event that it had been reported to the manufacturer as total loss. After several hours of attempting to program the keys you supplied, we determined that there was a computer, compatibility, or electrical issue with your vehicle. We contacted VW technical assistance for direction. They advised us to continue diagnosis. You declined further diagnosis and did not wish to leave the vehicle for repair. We charged one hour labor for our efforts, which was well below the time we spent looking at your vehicle. We apologize that the issues with the vehicle prevented a quick resolution to your issue. We value our customers and truly appreciate the time to share your opinions. Please contact us at your earliest convenience so we may fully understand your grievances and work to change your opinion of our dealership. Again, thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am in complete agreement with you that the prices we charge are higher than can be found on the internet. We are price conscious in our daily lives as well and can completely understand you shopping around. As I am sure you know, we cannot buy OEM parts anywhere near that price, and our investment in technicians, technology and facility requires us to charge for labor to reprogram not only the key/immobilizer but remote function as well. I am aware that different markets have different pricing structures for labor due to operating costs. Frequently, rural dealers are cheaper than major metro areas because the costs of doing business is less. I am sorry we were not able to assist.
