First they wanted $225 for a 2005 Jetta key fob, the another $200 for programing, I wanted two fobs and was looking at over $650. I ordered two after market fobs for $80 but the service guy would not give me the part number "so I could but it cheaper somewhere else, then when I needed my keys programed, I told him I was going out of town and needed the keys programed in a rush, the same guy could not squeeze me in for week or so. I found another VW dealer on my route out of State and they were more than happy to help, cut, programed my after market fobs for $100. I spent less than $200 and Bachrodt wanted $650. What a bunch of dishonest crooks. More
Beyond belief Reprehensible at best. I booked a service for an oil change 5-7 days in advance indicating the year make and model number to them of a car I was to h Reprehensible at best. I booked a service for an oil change 5-7 days in advance indicating the year make and model number to them of a car I was to have serviced, a car they had previously seen and was in their system. Arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early and 45 minutes later I was informed that they did not have the oil filter in stock for my car and could not change the oil, a service that had been booked days in advance with all details of the vehicle - but no part?? I was offered only to come back on Monday - mind you that I live 1.5 hours away and like most of the public had busted my butt to make arrangements for this as they don't have weekend service - no other solution, no offer to send a runner out to get a filter, no offer to make it right in any way, simply handed the keys to my vehicle and that was it. I received a follow-up call from Bob Augustine after I called the Service Manager who explained it was their fault, but yet had no explanation for why they would allow me to drive in for service for a car which they didn't even have the parts for or why they offered no other solution to get the car serviced that day. Bob did offer me a "couple of gallons" of gas for my trouble and a car wash, a car wash that comes with an oil change anyway - $6 for 3 hours worth of travel *wow*, dropping kids off early, paying a sitter to come early and an oil change that still isn't done - all because the dealership doesn't look at its list of services coming due and coordinate it with its inventory of goods. Honestly the phone call was appreciated, but the laissez fair attitude about my poor service having a basic oil filter in stock and the lack of any solution or any regret for their screw-up is beyond comprehension. If this was a $19.95 oil change and there was a run on cars because it was noon I can understand, but for a $100+ oil change booked days in advance with make and model known, unacceptable. With all sincerity I hope this does not happen to others, but I have a feeling it will and you will be dismissed as callously as I was and no solution offered. You're the consumer, its your problem - pretty poor business model at Bachrodt. Don't bring your vehicle to Bachrodt BMW if you actually want service. More

But this time i used the shuttle service and a ver dept and i have always dealt with Courtney Karau and she is very friendly and always professional. But this time i used the shuttle service and a very nice gentlemen by the name of Gene Bell drove me to work and when my car was done he came and picked me up and drove me back to Bachrodt. After dealing with my old VW dealer and Service Consultant T.C. near Hollywood, I was less than thrilled when my Passat started making a lumpy noise on the passenger side front wheel and I also not Consultant T.C. near Hollywood, I was less than thrilled when my Passat started making a lumpy noise on the passenger side front wheel and I also noticed a leak. Moving recently into the Rockford Area, I opted for Lou Bachrodt and I can definitely say working with Matt Pease was a much more pleasurable experience. Not only did he throughly answer all of my questions but took me back to the service area to show me what was required. I was surprised at how fast it was in and out of there for just a faulty plastic hose and strut. He did everything possible to present a relaxed and no pressure sales technique. Lou Bachrodt is indeed fortunate to have a person of his caliber as an employee. Thanks Again! Walter Harrison Rockton, IL More

We only buy our vehicles from Lou Bachrodt because of our salesman Joe Luy because he tells us what the price is and there is never any pressure or haggling and after we have purchased the vehicle if we have salesman Joe Luy because he tells us what the price is and there is never any pressure or haggling and after we have purchased the vehicle if we have any kind of problem he is there to help with getting it fixed. Then when we take it to the service dept Courtney Karau is always very helpful and prompt with getting the vehicle's issue taken care of and she calls you as soon as it is fixed. You couldnt ask for more. More
