Horrible for Veterans or people with disabilities. Went to buy a new vehicle on 7/30/2020. Having been in the automobile industry my entire life I am very particular with customer experience. Matt Lots Went to buy a new vehicle on 7/30/2020. Having been in the automobile industry my entire life I am very particular with customer experience. Matt Lotspeich (Son of Boss) blew me out of the water. I was trying to get the details worked out on financing a new truck however the manager was belittling my plan. Please beware, I am a disabled and really try my best to operate in this world however there are people who are not disabled and have zero idea what its like to live with a disability. To poke fun and aggravate a sore spot in someones life is not the way to earn someones business. More

While test driving the vehicle, I noted a few things that I wanted repaired before purchasing, one of which was a rattling that occurred during acceleration. They assured me they would fix the issues and on a subsequent test drive, the rattle was gone. They explained it was caused by a loose heat shield and stated they'd repaired it. It was only after purchasing the car and having an unrelated, major issue repaired just a few days later (see below) by a different mechanic, I learned Lotspeich had not repaired the heat shield, they completely removed it! They did not disclose the removal, a dishonest move that has left me with a car with a potentially dangerous condition and one that is costly to repair as it requires a complete replacement of the manifold. Four days after purchasing the car, it died while driving it. The torque converter was bad. Thankfully, the car purchase included a third party limited warranty and that part was covered. I called the dealership to see if they would fix it themselves. The dealership said “we would like to make this right,” but would not commit to covering parts and labor, nor would they explain what "making it right" meant in writing. They also told me that the warranty would not be in effect until 30 days after purchase. Having the details of the warranty right in front of me I knew this was not remotely true. As the dealership is located over an hour from where I live, I chose to use the warranty and take it to a shop with more experience repairing this model of car. The car sat at the shop for 10 days, without any work, because the warranty company needed to investigate why the dealership sold a car with such an obvious pre-existing issue that disabled it only four days after purchase. While ultimately the cost of the repair was covered, I wonder if Lotspeich knew of this issue and counted on the warranty company to pay for it after someone purchased the car. I am highly unsatisfied with this experience. More

After looking at a few trucks on the lot that didn’t have the equipment options I wanted or the right color, John offered to find me a truck. Thirty minutes after sitting down and looking for the right truck John found the perfect one and had it at the dealership in two days! Thank you John and everyone at Lotspeich Automotive for helping me find the perfect truck! More

At that point all the service department did was turn off the check engine light which does not generate a service record. It's 2019 now, check engine light still on, vehicle still stalling, service 2 days ago the service department turned off the check engine light and told my wife that it keeps coming on because she is on and off the gas pedals, what a complete crock. Between the purchase in 2016 the check engine light has never been off for more than a week and we have driven the car to Lottspeich (40 miles away) between 12 and 15 times, we had them print us out service record for our attorney and it printed out 4 records, which means ten times all they did was reset the check engine light. Every time we get a loaner they talk like we should be excited about it, it's embarrassing and I don't give a crap about the loaners. This service department is a complete joke and the management allowing this to happen to its customers will feel the burn one day. I know they will reply with a generic statement about how highly they uphold their customer service, but we are done with customer service. We want a working vehicle and this deal that went down in 2016 has completely wasted years of our lives that we cannot get back. All we do is swap out vehicles and wonder when our car is going to lock up on the highway. Still to this day no resolution, nothing you can do at this point will make it right unless you give a refund for this piece of garbage you sold us and continue to sell us on, wasting yours and our time. Paid for repairs... Car still won’t run Daughter’s car broke down In Warrensburg, so we had it towed to Lotspeich because it was the closest Chevy dealer. They ordered the part from Chicago Daughter’s car broke down In Warrensburg, so we had it towed to Lotspeich because it was the closest Chevy dealer. They ordered the part from Chicago to fix the car. The car was still not operational. So, they order more parts from Chicago. 4 days go by with no loaner so I’m stuck driving hours a day trying to get my daughter to Warrensburg for school in addition to my own driving. Anyway, she picked the car up and made it back to Lee’s Summit before it started doing what it was doing before. They would not help cover the tow back to Warrensburg. They offered zero assistance in making this right. We are out money, I really don’t think they attempted to fix the car. More

Great buying experience! Worked with me over email! I had never heard of Lotspeich Automotive until they happened to have the perfect used car for me. I lived a little ways away from their dealership an I had never heard of Lotspeich Automotive until they happened to have the perfect used car for me. I lived a little ways away from their dealership and have a newborn at home so I emailed them to see if I could try to negotiate a deal online before making the trip (to save time). In such an internet-based world, it's surprising that most dealerships don't care to do this. Dale Rickey at Lotspeich Automotive had no problems with it. After working the deal, I made the trip to the dealership to get everything sorted out. There were a few unforeseen issues once I arrived that only came up because of how picky I am at looking over cars, but even with that being the case Lotspeich went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with the car and that they stuck by anything they said or did. Hiccups or not, Lotspeich proved that honesty and integrity are at the core of their business model with this sale and I will not forget it. I could not be happier with my buying experience all said and done. A quick tip for those who decide to stop by this dealership: Dale Rickey is the best salesman I have ever worked with. He was not pushy, was understanding of my needs, and did everything he possibly could to both make sure the deal was a good one for me and to make sure that I was satisfied. I do not know of any salesmen I would actually brand as trustworthy, but Dale is absolutely one of them. More
