We brought our car to be inspected a month ago. They had a long list of “issues” that needed to be repaired. One of the issues was the front and back brakes were claimed to be a 3MM needing immedia They had a long list of “issues” that needed to be repaired. One of the issues was the front and back brakes were claimed to be a 3MM needing immediate repair. We decided to wait since something was off with this, since we got the back brakes replaced a year ago and only drove 10,000 miles since. We debated going to another Toyota dealership but decided to give Lost Pines one more try. Upon dropping the vehicle off they let us know it would be about 3 hour wait. 3 hours later we got the service list, it was the front brakes only and transmission fluid. They said the back brakes were at a 7.5-8MM and absolutely did not need to be replaced and the front brakes were a 4.5-5MM and needed replacing… so neither measured a 3MM. When we got the estimate it was around $380 and we signed to approved the front brakes and oil change. Upon picking up the car the price was around $420 and they gave a $20 “discount” so we still paid OVER the price originally quoted so really not a discount at all. My husband paid not realizing the original price we signed, I saw the receipt and was shocked expecting to have paid $380 and the $20 discount down to $360. I went back inside that this was incorrect and the gentlemen Kevin did in fact refund to the original quoted price and give the appropriate discount. However, he claimed we were sent the $420 price and that was a complete lie since I showed him an additional fee of $35 that was NEVER in the original price quote that Lost Pine tacked on upon pickup. I also told Kevin to look at our past history from a month ago where we were told it was 3MM brakes. He said none of the brakes were 3MM, but there it is in our paperwork that Lost Pines told us to replace BOTH brakes and lied about the MM size and lied about the scope of work then changed the pricing at the last minute when we went in. This is a deceitful business and lied to us several times from price to work needed; we have not been apologized to or had any type of refund from the original price we paid of $170 to get our car “evaluated” and that evaluation was a complete lie. Lost Pines is accountable for the fraud they committed towards our family telling us to spend hundreds of dollars more and lying about how severe things are on our vehicle scaring our family we have an unsafe car.
