If breathing didn't come natural..... If breathing didn't come natural I think most of the salesman in the dealership would croak. Not very enthused to help or try and sell you a car. I must say that he was the most knowledgeable sales associate I have ever encountered. He not only knew everything inside and out about this specific vehicle, but he knew everything about the rest of Subaru’s line (as we discussed options) for both 2015 and 2016 models, as well as everything about Subaru itself as a company, and exactly where the answers to all of my questions were in the various brochures/pamphlets. In addition to being knowledgeable, he was extremely friendly, patient, and professional. Unfortunately we could not get a deal worked out, and I ended up going elsewhere for my lease, but that was a situation specific to my needs. This was the first time I truly regretted not being able to make a purchase with a specific sales associate. I would recommend anyone to go here for a new or used vehicle, and I will certainly be going here for the service of my new Subaru. More
Top to bottom liars at this place. Nightmare experience from start to finish. Matt Orn was our salesman and lied about pricing, wouldn't even match a competitor's price which was further away but my girlfriend didn't want to drive to the other dealership so we agreed to overpay for the 2015 Impreza. Then he lied about when the car would be ready to pick up. 5-7 days became 15. Then he lied about financing. 1.49% became 5. Also conveniently failed to mention that the rate he promised us was only for 36 months not 60. Spoke to Ray the financing manager and Scott the General manager. Ray said that Matt was mistaken and shouldn't have quoted financing because he wasn't trained on it etc. So basically even though Matt lied to the customer it is ultimately our problem. Neither were sympathetic and defended Matt for lying to us, saying that's what they encourage their employees to do. They live up to every stereotype you can imagine at this place and you might want to take a shower after leaving the showroom because of the slime in there. Scott was the worst of all because he said I must be lying about my experience and that I should shop elsewhere. The shopping elsewhere was the one good thing he told us because I would never set foot in there again. More
Not "fair" I have been searching for a used vehicle for over 2 months and this was hopefully going to be my last stop in my search. My wife and I have put substa I have been searching for a used vehicle for over 2 months and this was hopefully going to be my last stop in my search. My wife and I have put substantial hours into our search process and have visited over 15 dealerships looking for the right car. This dealership has a one price "true" pricing to avoid headaches in the purchasing of a vehicle. What they fail to mention is that they decide what is "fair" and "true" and will not work with you. I was ready to buy from them all that was needed was an agreed price, I felt that $500 off of the price of the vehicle was more than fair to them, to myself, and in accordance with the market, but they would not budge. Their sales manager even had the audacity to tell me, after I said I was ready to start paper work to purchase the vehicle, "all you have to do is come up $500 to start." I do not know about everyone else, but that does not sound like somebody that wants to sell you a vehicle. I am disappointed that a dealership would talk to a customer like that to get their "true" and "fair" pricing instead of working with them. They let me walk out of their dealership over a 5% difference in my price and their price. Well done...... More

Salesman Scott Brill was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and patient. He was very low key with no high pressure sales. I received a fair price for my trade, inline with edmunds.com trade in value. The new Outbacks are loaded with all the latest technology which was all new to me. Scott explained how everything worked and even paired my cell phone to the car's bluetooth. Overall it was a very positive experience. Thank you Scott and Long's Subaru! More

He notified me of a used Impreza that had recently arrived on the lot and I loved it right away. Do a lot of driving for work and needed something that had great mileage. This car was in great condition and only about 50k miles. After test driving it, sat down with the salesman and he worked up some numbers using my Honda Element as a trade-in. He came up with the financing and gave me a really great number for my monthly payment. I agreed to it and we signed the contract that day. I picked up the vehicle the next day and turned in my old car. Everything was great until about 3 weeks later when I received a phone call from them asking me to come in due to a "problem". Upon arriving, I was told that they had made a mistake with the numbers and had inadvertently misplaced a decimal point so they needed the car returned to them. Their Finance person continued to go back and forth to the General Manager who couldn't even be bothered to come out and speak to me himself. I attempted work with them to come to another agreement, but I now realize they just wanted me out of there because they knew the scope of their error. After lying to me and telling me that if I did not hand over the car I'd be making two car payments, they printed up another set of paperwork for me to sign to reverse everything. Unfortunately I was so completely in shock and taken off guard that I signed the papers and left in my old vehicle. On top of that, they had stripped my old car of the expensive windshield wipers I had recently put on and the car was not running well because it had been sitting on the lot for so long! Obviously, after thinking about it wished I had never gone back. The mistake was made by them and should have been absorbed by them…period. This dealership is being run by a pack of morons who have zero business sense and no ability to deal with people in a rational, sensible manner. Their contracts are clearly meaningless unless they decide otherwise. I can only hope that their pathetic business falls into a giant sinkhole with all of them in it. More
This was the second dealer we visited; Anchor in North Smithfield was first. Long exceeded our expectations on the service, price and friendliness. Long was much more low key and was able to get the exac Smithfield was first. Long exceeded our expectations on the service, price and friendliness. Long was much more low key and was able to get the exact car, a fair trade in in a very professional, not pushy, nonsense type of way. She also was fine with us shopping around and expected us to do so. A big plus was that she offered to let us put a tandem bike in the car to make sure it fit, we did not even have to ask. I would certainly go back to Long Subaru. More
I was in the market for a new Subaru, and called around on a Saturday to 5 different dealers. They had the exact car I wanted, and the second-lowest price. On Monday I went in to buy the car, and the sale on a Saturday to 5 different dealers. They had the exact car I wanted, and the second-lowest price. On Monday I went in to buy the car, and the salesman I spoke to on Saturday (Ed) wasn't there because he doesn't work on Mondays. I made the deal with another Salesman (Kevin) and the GM (Scott), and went back in on Thursday to sign all the paperwork. I made arrangements with Ed to pick up the car at 10AM on the following Monday. Ed said that although he usually doesn't work on Monday, he would come in for the sake of delivering my new car. On Monday I arrived to pick up the car, and neither it nor Ed were anywhere to be found. After about an hour everything was straightened out. Despite the time-consuming process of buying a car from them, they seem to be somewhat more honest than the sorry lot of sleazy dealers I've encountered, which is why I'm not dinging them too bad on the recommendation. Just don't expect super efficiency! More
My wife and I just bought a Subaru Outback from this dealer. We got quotes from multiple dealers using edmunds.com and got the run-around from other dealers (we'll give you a price when you come in, etc.). The quote we got from Long was competitive with the other prices we received. I exchanged multiple emails and phone calls with Steve who was very responsive to our requests. We went in once to test drive a car and got good service without much sales pressure (we were test-driving a CRV later that day). At this point we also got our trade-in appraised so we could compare final out-the-door prices with other dealers. A few days later we came in again to test drive a few other cars, including the one we ultimately purchased. That day we finalized numbers and put down a deposit. We got low APR financing through Subaru which took a day, so we came down the next day to sign all of the paperwork and complete the trade-in. Our trade-in price wasn't great, but it was fair, and higher than the price we received from another dealer. The finance manager, Mike, was very pleasant to deal with. He gave us numbers on an extended warranty, but didn't apply any pressure us to buy it (we didn't). There were no other offers for things like undercoating or fabric protection that some dealers use to pump up the profit. We're happy with our purchase and it was a pleasant, straightforward experience. There was no funny business with the numbers or high-pressure tactics. More
