I waited to long for this service not to get a follow up from service tech. I has to check on my car after 3 hours. I was told it was going to take " some time". I was sent a recall letter for my engine and software instructing that I take it to the dealership. I left my car at LOKEY Kia Clearwater and did not even get a call back after 3.5 hours. I had to return instructing that I take it to the dealership. I left my car at LOKEY Kia Clearwater and did not even get a call back after 3.5 hours. I had to return to the dealership on my own to find out the status of my car. Upon arrival, the service rep told me they had not done the mandatory engine inspection for the recall. The rep then took me to my vehicle and stated the ignition coil #2 bolt was stripped, not tightening which was his reasoning of not doing the mandatory engine recall. I know for a fact my ignition coil bolts did NOT look like that before handing LOKEY Kia of Clearwater my keys that day. The very next day, I had to go to my mechanic to re-secure the same coil bolt because my car was shaking, which had not happened not even 5 months prior to my mechanic changing the ignition coils. They were supposed to do a mandatory engine recall. INSTEAD, they tried to upsell me stating I needed “4 coil connectors, a valve cover, fuel tube and spark plugs for $1619” which I know I do not. I purchased my Kia Forte from this dealership in 2013 and unfortunately will never take my car back to this location. They have poor customer service, do not communicate and don’t seem to have the customer’s best interest whatsoever. I will be taking my car to a different Kia dealership for the engine recall. More
