Most unique new vehicle purchase I decided to purchase a new 2017 Toyota Tacoma in December 2018 after waiting to see what Ford and Jeep were planning to introduce into the mid-sized I decided to purchase a new 2017 Toyota Tacoma in December 2018 after waiting to see what Ford and Jeep were planning to introduce into the mid-sized pickup truck market. The new 2017 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab TRD Sport 4x4 I purchased was still available due to the fact it was a manual transmission vehicle. I went to the dealership with the expectation that they would be interested in moving this vehicle off the lot before the close of 2018. The salesman who greeted me, James Wyche, located the vehicle I was looking for and answered all of my questions during and after the test drive on the first visit (I had been by on several occasions to look at the Toyota Tacoma when deciding between a Nissan Frontier, Chevy Colorado). During the second visit to negotiate a deal, Sunny Ahmad became involved as part of the process. After several attempts to get a price for the vehicle from Sunny, I left the dealership frustrated and decided to do some additional research. Several days later, I stopped by the dealership with the intention to purchase the 2017 Toyota Tacoma. James and I went for another test drive and restarted the paperwork. Once again Sunny became involved in the financial negotiations (with trade-in) and the numbers I was calculating were not matching with the numbers I was being shown. After several hours of back and fourth numbers, I discovered that Sunny was manipulating the numbers in a way to trick me into accepting a deal that would end up costing me more money than where we started the negotiations (new vehicle cost increased when more money was offered for the trade-in along with a longer loan term to match a monthly budget which made for a bad deal). I considered this to be unethical behavior and very poor negotiations. When I attempted to discuss this with Sunny, his attitude was very disrespectful and I left the dealership without a new vehicle and very frustrated. Before I left the dealership, my salesman, James, and I talked about trying to salvage the deal in the coming days. James followed up the next day after discussing my experience with a regional sales manager who agreed that this was not the way a customer should be treated (I feel that Sunny's sales tactic and lack of people skills also affects the ability of the sales associate to sell vehicles). Several days later I received a call to come back in to Livermore Toyota. I reluctantly went back to Livermore Toyota to see if they were serious about selling me the 2017 Toyota Tacoma. James and Gus Sugura, along with their manager, were very transparent in putting together a very fair deal where their numbers and my calculations matched perfectly. As far as my purchase experience at Livermore Toyota, I give James Wyche high marks for going the extra mile to secure my business. I am pleased that Livermore Toyota management put Gus Sugura in place to negotiate the deal. I respect Livermore Toyota management for recognizing that Sunny Ahmad nearly lost the sale through unethical behavior and poor people skills, but question why they accept deceptive number manipulation by an employee that leads to upsetting a customer if discovered? As far as my new vehicle, I am very pleased with my 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. I chose this dealership based on my previous experience through helping twi friends purchase vehicles, and through persistence, was able to come away a satisfied first-time Toyota customer. More

He was very helpful and honestly addressed my needs and requirements while showing and driving vehicles from which I could choose as I selected my new vehicle. His attention to detail was exceptional and much appreciated as I was a bit overwhelmed with the features of my new vehicle that were unfamiliar to me. Others in the dealership (parts associate and service mgr., finance mgr. and even the general manager of the dealership) thanked me for my business and welcomed me to the "family". More

I visited my nearby Toyota dealership in ***** and was ready to purchase the vehicle that I have always wanted, which they had in their inventory. And as a customer, first impression is everything. A car salesman came up to me and what I noticed is that there was no eye contact but yet was more concerned in my appearance and "sized" or profiled me up if I was worthy of his assistance. I felt I was judged right away as he walked away and told me that another salesman will be helping me. He did not look he was doing anything important but browse through his cell phone. I felt annoyed that I had to wait for another salesman. I waited for 23 minutes but to no avail. I approached the first salesman I encountered but he shushed me and pretended to be on his cell again! As I walked away he put his phone away. That was not nice. I ended up having to go all the way to San Bruno to try to purchase a vehicle. I was about to make a deal and was ready to purchase there. But before I went back to San Bruno, I contacted Costco auto assistance program to try find my vehicle in inventory and Livermore Toyota dealership contacted me right away. Costco program could not help me me in locating my vehicle nearby. But as a last minute text from John N. to come by their dealership to check out their inventory. And with a few kind and professional gestures of calling him. I felt a good vibe that this dealership treat their customer right. I came in the Livermore dealership and everyone was saying Hi and made feel welcomed. John helped me out right away and connected instantly. He was very knowledgeable and professional yet caring in what i looking for in a vehicle. He took the time to research the truck I wanted and knew right away I was serious about buying. John wanted no time telling me that the truck I wanted was in that showroom and would make it possible to drive away in that hour. Sure enough, he spoke to his manager, Jillian, and made everything happen. I could not be more happier. John, Jillian and Jericho in finance interpersonal communication skills are what set them apart in customer care. It may look like it that John was the only one person helping me out but I knew it was team effort to make me a happy customer and drive away in that show room vehicle. And as side note Jillian offered to get an Uber so I can get back to the dealership to get my other car! Now that's customer service. And that is exactly Livermore Toyota is. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience in car buying. I will be reccomending all my coworkers and others to Livermore Toyota. More
