Overall good Good service thank you however the car I got for the day was on E with 20 miles left on tank. I stopped and threw in 4 gallons and the meter didn’t go up. Over lunch stopped again put another 4 gallons in and meter dropped to 15 miles till empty. Thinking it was running out somehow put another 4 gallons in and the meter didn’t go up- I chalked it up as a broker gas meter which is annoying as I stopped 3 times to fill a car I only drove 25 miles in. As I was pulling up Merle Hay the meter must have reset and it was now 3/4 full. Just letting you know so you can get this looked at for the next person. I enjoy your service and my rep was great even mentioned the empty gas and asked if it was ok I just didn’t realize it was on 0. More
Great Service I called VW and asked about a couple parts my car needed. Rob answered the phone and helped me out to the best of his abilities before he transferred I called VW and asked about a couple parts my car needed. Rob answered the phone and helped me out to the best of his abilities before he transferred the call over to Gage. Gage then proceeded to help me out with what I needed. All in all you think phone calls like that will take forever and you almost dread to call - this was the quickest and most helpful call I've experienced. More
90K Service My car had high oil consumption plus it was due its 90K mile service. I bought the car with about 80K miles on it and it had no service history. Lithia VW replaced the parts that were causing the high oil consumption and preformed routine maintenance items that were due or should have been completed earlier. More
Great service department! I have experienced problems with my radio and back up camera and mentioned it when I was in for my 10,000 mile service. Austin and his team investigat I have experienced problems with my radio and back up camera and mentioned it when I was in for my 10,000 mile service. Austin and his team investigated, but couldn’t pinpoint the issue because they couldn’t replicate the problem. As I was leaving the problem presented itself. Austin immediately ordered a new radio unit for my car and got my car scheduled for the replacement as soon as the radio arrived. This has completely resolved the issue and I am a happy VW driver. Thank you to Austin and the Lithia service team for taking care of this so quickly and efficiently! More
Great personal service- frustrating phone service I was able to get my 2013 VW Beetle serviced on 6/26/19. I phoned and was able to get an appointment quickly, and on the day that I was already plann I was able to get my 2013 VW Beetle serviced on 6/26/19. I phoned and was able to get an appointment quickly, and on the day that I was already planning to be in Des Moines. I live in Missouri, so I appreciate this from the service department. My car was serviced and I was back on the road only slightly later than they had first told me. I was told car would be done around noon, but it was actually 1:30. My frustration with your service department is that there is such a long wait for a human to answer the phone. I feel that when the service person gives a contact card that it should ring directly to that person (cell phone or designated line). When I was trying to call and find out when my car would be completed, it was on hold for over 10 minutes. I experienced this same delay on the day that I made the appointment. Thank you. Great Experience Went in to have the transmission serviced and check out the emissions system because the DPF regen light and check engine light were on constantly. L Went in to have the transmission serviced and check out the emissions system because the DPF regen light and check engine light were on constantly. Let me know that the transmission didn't need to be serviced yet and that the NOX sensor for the emissions needed to be replaced. Overall I was there most of the day but the service adviser kept me informed on what was going on. Ended up fixing the problem that day so I didn't have to make another special trip down there. (Don't live in the Metro area) I will keep coming there for service if they keep treating me as nicely as they did More
Service center is terrible The service center at Lithia is disorganized and very slow. Drive to Minneapolis or Omaha for a new Volkswagen. You'll be disappointed in Des Moines. Oil Change & Tire Rotation I dropped my car off the night before since my appointment was @ 8am. I did not get a call letting me know service was complete. I called the dealersh I dropped my car off the night before since my appointment was @ 8am. I did not get a call letting me know service was complete. I called the dealership (the main number) 3 times to see if it was ready, each time the call ring for several minutes without anyone picking up and eventually a voice message said the extension I was trying to reach was unavailable and hung up. I ended up taking an uBer over to the dealership after 1pm. Couple of service reps sitting at desks, no mad rushes evident and nice enough to talk to, still not sure why one was answering the phone. My car was ready though, and the service was done. More
