I live in Connecticut. In a panic,I contacted the dealer and spoke to Ron Hogan explaining that my 20 year daughter was stranded 15 miles from this dealership. Ron immediately offered to pick her up and bring her to the dealership which seems to be something a salesperson would do in anticipation of a sale; however It was more a kind gesture from one father to another. Ron also offered his friendship offering my daughter additional transportation until the new car was able to be picked up. He has also been back in touch with me to remind me that my daughter could stay in touch if she needed help of any kind. So here I was calling some complete stranger across the country asking for help to go pick up my daughter somewhere in Oregon. With so many sad stories of violence all over the world, isn't nice to know that you can still depend on kindness, trust, decency, and friendship from a complete stranger. My issues was not in the actual sales transaction. Once I drove the vehicle off the lot, I never heard from the dealership again. I had my Tacoma in for service today. Lithia's shop manual calls for 1.2 hours labor to change a set of spark plugs. Really? Is that the shop manual estimate for a confused mechanic? Sure enough, in less than a half hour my truck was parked where it couldn't readily be seen from the waiting room. After another 20 minutes I went to the service counter to see what was going on. Oops. It seems they were in no hurry to tell me the truck had been off the rack for quite a while already. Yet, I was charged for 1.2 hours labor to get a set of spark plugs that were installed in less than 30 minutes. Un-fricking-believable. My local Ford dealer gives an estimate based on the shop manual, but then only charges the customer for actual labor time. Maybe the incompetent Lithia thieves should consider trying honesty for a change. More

New car buying is something I generally consider to be a strong-arming contest between buyer and dealership, but this was as easy as can possibly be. Believe it or not, car salesmen can be nice guys. John Uri was excellent in a professional demure. He worked with me for about 7 hours until we got the right Prius. He was very patanant and polite. Holy smokes. Who are they paying for the 5 star reviews. Service department left metal filings on brakes after servicing discs and pads. they refused to fix the problem and instead tried to tell me that new Service department left metal filings on brakes after servicing discs and pads. they refused to fix the problem and instead tried to tell me that new disks and pads were needed. (Less than 2000 miles after a complete brake service on a newer car.) Following this, the service department charged over $100 to hook up a code reader for 2 minutes - and as a final blow gave a dishonest diagnosis. I paid to have my brakes redone elsewhere,where they showed me the sloppy workmanship from Lithia Toyota, and paid $60 elsewhere to have my code problems repaired. Lithia dealer wanted to charge over $800 for the same work. Don't go here. They are rated a "D" by the BBB. Keep in mind that the nice person selling you services in the service department works on commission. I am very embarrassed to admit that I returned to the dealer after the first problem, but I won't make this mistake again - and I hope this review will prevent someone else from making the same mistake.
