Rarely, does such a life-impacting, difficult decision come without added stress--but Guy did his best to alleviate our anxiety, provide full explanations and was patient with our indecision. This was our most uniquely pleasant vehicle purchasing experience ever! ( We are "seniors", and thus qualified to assert that we are "experienced!) The sales staff from the manager to the personal sales representative were all extremely courteous, polite, patient and knowledgeable. At no time did we feel we were being "pressed" or coerced. They listened to our concerns, addressed each with attention to detail, and facilitated complete resolution of those issues. In essence, we were "handled with kid gloves"! No one ever tried to ask probing personal questions to "assess" our financial resources, such as questions regarding our pre-retirement professions. Again: they listened attentively, bargained fairly, and resolved questions! Their organization is well polished and efficient. I anticipate the same from their service department. Let's get one thing straight: I HATE car shopping. HATE IT! The schmarmy sales people, the MANY times I hear "let me talk to my manager", the seemingly endless drawings of circles and numbers to show you w IT! The schmarmy sales people, the MANY times I hear "let me talk to my manager", the seemingly endless drawings of circles and numbers to show you what a "great deal" you're getting, when in reality, they're just showing you what a moron they think you are. 8-10 hours later, you walk away feeling totally beat down, but hey, you have a car. My experience with Travis and Sterling was nothing like I expected. Although I didn't get what I thought I should for my trade-in (according to Kelly Blue Book) and I think the price for my car was a bit high (again according to Kelly BB)but it was actually worth it for not having to deal with all the bologna one normally encounters at other dealerships. It took all of an hour to talk about the car, the trade-in, and...bonus! there were no circle drawings and only one time did Travis have to go talk to the mysterious manager. When everything was finished, Sterling followed me from Oregon City to North Portland where my husband works so that he could sign all the papers and I wouldn't have to go all the way back. Saved me SO much time and that says a lot from a working mom. My husband didn't have to miss any work and I got to drive my new car home. Yay! After everything was signed, my husband noticed the taillights had a couple of cracks in them. I called Travis and I thought "there's no way he's going to replace these since I've signed already". Surprise! He did. He is so good to his customers and that is pretty rare. Thanks Travis and Sterling! You guys rock! More
We have purchased cars from dealers before and since we were trading in a vehicle that was worth more than the vehicle we wanted to buy, we wanted to make an offer (if we liked the truck) and get out as qu were trading in a vehicle that was worth more than the vehicle we wanted to buy, we wanted to make an offer (if we liked the truck) and get out as quickly as possible. Guy stayed with us throughout most of the purchase and was happy to look into things that we were interested in or get answers to our many questions. Guy was friendly, personable and very easy to work with. Buying this truck was pretty much painless....thanks to Guy and the rest of the staff that was always around and making sure that we had beverages, popcorn and a hot-dog if we were hungry. Kudos to Lithia, Guy Whitney and everyone else that made this purchase easy, virtually painless and fun. A number of our friends own Subarus and I will be encouraging them to take their cars to Lithia if and when they need service. Thanks for such a great experience. Guy and Lithia are awesome. Travis Smith was great to work with and I highly recommend him. My financing was challenging and my trade in was a challenge yet in the end I felt they were very fair in the deal that was worked ou recommend him. When I went in I tld Travis I had very little time and had to make it happen fast and he did... no B.S. , no interminable waiting, he was the only person I had to deal with other than the finance manager when it was time to sign the papers. He knew what he was talking about and didn't speak his mouth out like most salesmen these days. And he listened to us. So seek him out if you need a new car. Ryan Vaughn in finance was also a pleasure to work with. Of course, he tried to sell an extended warranty to us like every other dealership, but he was very respectful in what we ultimately decided (I know from experience how pushy people can be with these warranties, to the point of calling you stupid - Ryan isn't like that, he's very respectful). They got a digit wrong on our trade-in VIN, so someone today drove 35 minutes up to see us, arrived exactly on time (to the minute), quickly got a few things signed, and off he went. That is service that I wouldn't normally expect and it is things like that that truly make a dealership stand out for us. Thanks to the whole staff there! We'll be back when we need a new Subaru. All the reviews associated with this dealership and Travis are true! I'm on the road a lot and burn through cars. I have been driving a Suburban and wanted to get back to a Subaru. Went and checked out 4 Subaru dealers with one of them being a Costco members get the best deal. Travis beat that price and all others on first try. The other car dealers all said the same thing. Go buy from Oregon City. We can't touch that price. More
