Be aware of Lithia Nissan of Clovis California. This dealer is fraudulent. What happened: My son purchased a 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV. Gave a $2000 cash deposit and requested to apply the $4000 EV cred This dealer is fraudulent. What happened: My son purchased a 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV. Gave a $2000 cash deposit and requested to apply the $4000 EV credit to down payment as well. Got a loan approved from EECU and gave a check for $16,700 to cover the full purchase price. Then they said they have to wait few days to till they get the EV credit approved from IRS. They said they never registered with IRS for EV rebate so had to make a new application. Then days went by. My son was calling every other day to check the status and they kept telling still no approval. 3 weeks passed so we finally challenged the dealer and said to release the car without EV credit and will file with next year’s tax. Then they said car is no longer available as it was sold to someone else!!!! Absolutely unacceptable and illegal action. Still waiting to get the cash deposit and the money back to the bank!!!!!
