In late September of 2021 my maintenance light came on in my car (2015 Rav4) so I made an appointment with Lipton Toyota (1700 W Oakland Park Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, Fl 33311) to get what I thought would be an oil change. On October 4th I brought my car in only to find out that it was not for an oil change but for new tires. There was a sale going on so I decided to go with the new tires. As I drove off the lot the car was off balance... something was definitely wrong. I called them immediately and scheduled another appointment. I worked 2+ jobs (65 hours + a week ) and was unable to bring the car back for 2 weeks. On October 28th at 8:30 am I brought the car back in .... 3 hours later they admitted it was a problem with one of the tires and that they replaced it and all should be fine. Well.... It wasn't. The car drove worse than the first time I picked it up. So..I made another appointment. On October 31st at 8:30 am I brought the car back in and many hours later (maybe 4 or 5 ) they told me that the problem was the torx converter. I find this all rather strange because I never had a problem with the car until I let them put new tires on. The car had driven PERFECT before then. I did some research and found that Toyota had extended the warranty on torx converters for 2015 Camrys and Rav4's so I made a call to Toyota Corporate (11/4/2021 and 12/2/2021) only to find out that my vin # was not covered under the extended warranty....but corporate would cover the cost of the parts and I would have to cover the cost of the labor. On February 18th 2022 I called Lipton Toyota and made an appointment for March 5th to get the torx converter replaced along with an oil change. I was told that it would take 3 days to fix the car and that they did not have a loaner for me. A few days later I received a call from someone at Lipton Toyota to let me know that Toyota Corporate approved payment for the parts and that I was only responsible for the labor. Saturday, March 5th at 8:30am I brought the car in... my service agent made some comment to me that it was Saturday and they may not get the part in. I made the appointment 3 weeks prior... I got a confirmation appointment call.... He told me to leave the car and he'll take care of it. Monday, March 7th I get a call at 2pm to tell me that they didn't get the torx converter in but they did the oil change and I can come pick up my car because they couldn't get the part for a week. They had my car.... for 3 days. I work 2 jobs 1/2 hour away from my house... I had to finagle a way to work for 3 days and now I am being told that they didn't have the part to my car. On or around March 20th I got a call from Lipton Toyota letting me know that the torx converter was in. I spoke to a woman and explained what I had just gone through and I could not go without a loaner this time. I got a call back from that woman promising me a loaner but I could only get it for 24 hours. She promised that my car would be ready in 24 hours from when I dropped it off. (I couldn't understand that one.... It had to take 3 days the first time but now it would only take 1 day?? On March 31st at 8:30 am I brought my car in. They supplied me with a loaner. Friday April 1st at 8:00 am my service rep calls me to let me know that the car is not ready. I am in a jam because I go from job 1 to job 2 with only 1/2 hour in between the two jobs. There is no way for me to get my car. I called at 1:00pm to find that the car was not ready.... I called again at 2:00 and 3:00 to find it wasn't ready... so I told the service rep that someone would have to deliver it to me at my workplace because I definitely could not leave to pick it up. I was promised that as soon as it was done someone would bring it to me and we would make the switch with the loaner. At 5:00 pm my service rep came to my job to return my car and swap for the loaner. He said the car drove fine. When I got out of work to drive home that night I noticed the steering wheel was crooked. The Toyota emblem on the steering wheel was off to the left and the car was completely out of alignment. I had to bring my car back AGAIN!.....They straightened the wheel and admitted that the car was completely out of alignment so they aligned the car.... but the car still shutters at 40 something so I am not quite sure it is fixed properly. Recently I brought my car into another shop that was highly recommended to me to have it looked at. They tested my car and it was not the torx converter....the shuttering was because the tire was not completely rounded. I bought new tires from him and the car now drives great. I have contacted Toyota Corporate and they said it was Lipton Toyota's responsibility. I have sent 2 emails to Nelson (Service Manager) at Lipton Toyota with NO RESPONSE!!!!! I have only owned Toyotas since 1982. I will still buy Toyota but I will never, ever step foot into Lipton Toyota again. THEY ARE THE WORST!!!!! More

Item in question was Blind Side Monitor. No call back with response . I knew more about this vehicle than the sales people . No knowledge , no response to the question even the following day after leaving my cell # , no sale . I pick up my old Tacoma from service and left . More
