I bought a used car from Lindsay Volkswagen. Because I live a 90 minute drive from the dealership (found the car on the internet), I handled the negotiation on the phone, and then hauled my family down to live a 90 minute drive from the dealership (found the car on the internet), I handled the negotiation on the phone, and then hauled my family down to inspect the vehicle before writing the check. At the last minute, my brother in law (a mechanic) insisted in meeting us at the dealership to inspect the car. While there, my brother in law happened to run into a mechanic friend of his, and asked him for the low down on the car. The man said he'd actually tried to buy the car for himself and that it was exactly as represented. If you think one mechanic would tell another mechanic a lie just to support an employer, you don't know too many mechanics :) But I mention the chat between mechanics to illustrate that the employees represented themselves and the vehicle with scrupulous honesty, without knowing that I would have the ability to verify what they were saying. That's the sort of thing that gives me confidence when I write checks for thousands of dollars. Everyone was extremely friendly (I should mention that we got lost en route to the dealership, and arrived less than a half hour before it closed). They were all willing to answer all questions, and bent over backwards to accommodate our out of state needs. The price was fair. I enjoyed negotiating with Blake and would definitely buy another car at this dealership. More

Despite that, it's always a refreshing experience to visit with my team there at your dealership. Whatever car-related issues, concerns or anxieties arise, I know Erin, or her colleague Anna, is going to expeditiously get my Jetta in for Jeff (the best VW god I've seen since I left Europe in 1984), to do his magic. I've known Jeff since driving my first Jetta, a 1988, which he maintained for nearly 14 years. In it's later years, he affectionaly referred to it as the "Melwood Car." I've even called the Thelma and Louise from the PA Turnpike when I thought my car was acting up. They were able to put me through to Jeff who accurately diagnosed an errant coolant sensor. I was able to complete my 3 State trip without the additional worry and subsequent expense of having to deadline my vehicle. It's been a pleasure to work with Thelma, Louise and Danno. I was recommended to purchase my Golf TDI here via 3 people: my boss, my friend, and a customer at my work. Lisan is a character (in a good way), but he is also a very HARD worker. We played some hard ball and each party made some compromises, but I feel the numbers came out even better than expected in the end. Bottom line: I could NOT have made this purchase without their help. I drove off the lot with a new Golf TDI at a good price and some goodies in my "boot." More
