These guys are fantastic! I knew exactly what I wanted and they handled every persnickety and exacting issue w grace and speed. My wife and I had a great experience buying our new VW from Lindsay VW. Lisan Rahman was a true professional that did not pressure us or play the games others salesman tend to play. He was honest and friendly throughout the entire process. He worked with us to come to a more than fair price on our new car. We left feeling like we got a great deal and that we were going to be taken care of in the future. We also appreciate the work of Mike Bell in Finance for staying late to get our paperwork done well after the dealership closed. He had a great attitude and was very straightforward when explaining the paperwork. On the service side, Micheal Nunley and Anne Blaschke have been more than accommodating in getting us in for appointments to get our windows tinted and for a door wind noise issue. They made sure to return our calls in a timely manner and get our car in quickly to complete the service. Micheal even went so far as to go out and pull his car around to show me the difference in degree of tinting on his cars windows to help me make a decision. And when Micheal was not available, Anne stepped in and returned my call and set up an appointment for me. She even set up a rental car for me at their expense while my car was in for service. Again, nothing but class and professionalism from everyone we have dealt with in the service department. I can honestly say this is the best experience I've had at a dealership from all aspects. More

I consider myself a somewhat advantaged buyer. Though I bought my 2007 Rabbit from a dealer in Maryland, it has been serviced by Lindsay VW of Sterling for several years. So, before buying my 2011 GTI from bought my 2007 Rabbit from a dealer in Maryland, it has been serviced by Lindsay VW of Sterling for several years. So, before buying my 2011 GTI from Lindsay last month, I had had an opportunity to scrutinize the dealership up close for a good while. It's nice to have a good buying experience, which lasts a day or two. But the real investment of my time will be spread over all of those future visits for maintenance and service of my vehicle. Lindsay Volkswagen of Sterling is flat out superior. Their staff are extraordinarily well trained and always inclined to do the right thing. Cheerful, honest, and hard working. Always. Robbie Bassollote has been my service agent for three years. If he says it'll be ready in 45, it'll be ready in 40. If he says the bill will be $535, it'll probably be $526. I'm not one of those prima donnas that wants to see employees tie themselves in knots. I just want to see a good job done courteously, considerately, and consistently. Lindsay is all about it. So if sales was comparable to service, I knew it would be easy to buy a car at Lindsay. And it was. My salesperson was Joe Blanco and my finalizer was Kenny. Joe was easily able to answer my questions about graduating from the Rabbit to the GTI. I had not been a GTI devotee previously so there was much for me to learn. We test drove the limited Autobahn Edition and I satisfied myself that this was indeed more car than I was accustomed to; more power, more brakes, and the suspension was a new experience. My sale was straightforward and took a perfectly reasonable amount of time. Joe brought me a price I was pleased with on the first try and my good credit score allowed for terms that fit my budget. Then on to Kenny to finalize the deal. No fuss; I drove away shortly thereafter with confidence that I had done something sensible - no regrets. More
I came to Lindsay VW on a hot Saturday morning in July to view some of the used inventory. I was specifically interested in a light SUV and noticed Lindsay VW had a nice selection online. I spent all of 2 minutes (or so) in the parking lot before I was greeted by Julio. Julio was very attentive and did his best to answer my questions. He made me feel relaxed and afforded me plenty of patience while I inspected several vehicles. All things considered, everything went smoothly and even having to leave the premises for a brief appointment in the middle of closing did not impede the process. When I returned to the dealership to close, I sat down with Craig to close the sale and he was very helpful in showing and explaining the numerous options I had available to me. He even found a loan for me at a much better interest rate than the one offered by my credit union. Unfortunately, there are a couple of points that tainted my overall experience. The first is that I believed there was a language or experience barrier during negotiations which resulted in a rather large misunderstanding. I added the value of my trade-in to the loan amount I was pre-approved for and came up with a figure that I could afford that day. Julio came back and said we could do business but he also reduced the price of the car by factoring in my trade-in. Since he used the value of my trade-in to bring down the price of the car, I could no longer add it to my pre-approved loan and I ended up short. In the end I was forced to finance through the dealership and had to pay a high finance charge (albeit at a lower interest rate) to keep the deal alive. The second point is that if I were buying a VW from this dealership, there would have been zero ambiguity over the car I was buying. However, I purchased a pre-owned Mazda and, despite obvious amenities, some of the more salient features from the "hidden cost" perspective remained obscured. I was a bit appalled to discover that I was incorrectly informed that the vehicle I purchased was not turbocharged. It is. Furthermore, I was also dismayed by the fact that the vehicle only accepts premium fuel (91 octane or higher). I can accept a certain level of unpreparedness insomuch as I did not research the particulars of this make and model beforehand, but since I was looking more for a type of vehicle rather than a specific make and model, I was at the mercy of the dealer's knowledge which, in this case, was either wanting or disingenuous. I was searching for a passat with a rare factory body kit for my wife to match my car and when I found this car at Lindsay I gave them a call and told them that I would be driving 2 hours to get there the ne for my wife to match my car and when I found this car at Lindsay I gave them a call and told them that I would be driving 2 hours to get there the next day. Clyde took my name and contact info and called me back the next morning to let me know the car was still avaiable so I would not waist a trip. The car was what I wanted but the price was a little high so we met in the middle to close the deal. Thanks to all who helped. L.Bird More
Unbelievable how friendly and courteous this dealership was. I drove 4 hours to buy my car here and would do it again!!
