Our experience with Lindsay Volkswagon was one of the best service experiences we have ever had and certainly the best car buying experience. We arrived for the first time at Lindsay just 10 minutes prior to closing. We didn't realize that the dealership closed at 5:00 on Sunday. Despite the lateness of our arrival, Marc Weinstein, our sales person,greeted us warmly, listened to our expressed needs and then selected a car for us to test drive. It was only as we were walking out to the lot for the test drive that we realized that the dealership was closing and that he was volunteering to stay well after hours to ensure that we were taken car of. As it turned out, the 2012 Passat that we wanted wasn't available on the lot as the 2013 vehicles had already started arriving. That didn't deter Marc. He searched on line for every 2012 Passat he could find in the Viginia, Maryland and DC area. He stayed in touch with us every step of the way via numerous phone calls and emails. When the right car was found, he arranged for transfer of that car to the Lindsay Volkswagon. On the day the car arrived, we had commitments that precluded us from getting to the dealership prior to 7:30, just 90 minutes prior to their closing. When we arrived, all the paperwork was ready. They went over the costs and benefits of extra packages, but there was never any sales pressure. By the time, we had finished the paperwork and had selected our desired upgrades, it was once again getting getting close to closing. That didn't deter Marc. He spent an hour with us orienting us to our new car, and he made sure that blue tooth and other computer setings were set to our specifications before we drove off the lot. I know that saved us hours in reading manuals and allowed us to immediately enjoy all of the amentities our Passat had to offer. Once again, Marc stayed well after hours to ensure that we had an exceptional buying experience. I wwould definitely buy another car from Lindsay, and I would highly recommend the dealership to anyone interested in purchasing a Volkswagon. More
Top class sales support, knowledgable, hungry but not pushy. Listened well and provided suggestions and thoughts based on this. Traded my beautiful XJL limo (which drove well for a limo) for a GTI which I'm loving every minute of!!! One of the best car experiences I had. Incidentally I'm getting about 27MPG combined. Those looking for more mileage should strongly consider the TDI with tech package. More
Im in my 40's and have owend many cars (new and used) since I started driving. This was far and away my best experience buying a car to date. My experience prompted me to write this review. From the moment I stepped foot onto the property My experience was top notch. I was asked if I needed help, but was given time to go over the inventory. I was asked if I needed anything to drink (it was hot out). When I was ready, My salesman Marc Weinstein, helped me every step of the way. I never felt rushed or pushed to by a car. Marc even helped me find the best price for my trade-in. He went over every aspect of the buying experience. Even the employees on the property were concerned about me having the best buying experience I could have. And Well, It was. When I'm ready I would buy another car from Marc and Lindsay VW. It makes my stomach turn and my palms sweat and I'm always nervous that I'm getting screwed. I hate the uncomfortable, awkward, "let me go talk to the manager about the price and write it down on a sheet of paper" back and fourth games that they play. I hate it all.... So anyways, I was in the market for a new SUV a few weeks ago and to be honest, VW was a completely impromptu stop for us on the way home after a long day of test-driving. I'd never even sat in a VW, let alone driven one. But something about my experience at this dealership has turned me into a loyal and HAPPY VW customer....probably for life. Let me explain that now. From the moment we walked in the door, everything about our experience was entirely seamless. No pressure. No back and fourth price games. No sketchiness. At all. Just a super friendly, patient, smiling face (MEGAN KLEIN!!!!) who sat with us, listened to what we were looking for in a vehicle, and immediately pointed us in the right direction for our needs. (Toureag). Working with Megan was honestly the most low-key, laid-back, and yet efficient experience I've ever had while looking for a car. There wasn't a question we had (and we had LOTS) that she didn't know the answer to and her knowledge, quite honestly, blew us away. When it came to the VW lineup, she knew everything about every single vehicle that they carried which was both impressive and reassuring. She wasn't bothered at all to test drive & look at various styles/vehicles/trim levels with us. Quite to the contrary, the patiently accompanied us around the lot while we looked at dozens and dozens of options. When it came time to discuss price, there was honestly no hassle and no "game." It was very matter of fact. Kinda like, "Hey guys, here's the price. Here's why it's a fantastic deal." (which, thanks to technology, we were able to confirm with a quick google search on our smartphones right there on the spot.) And the interesting thing is this-- Lindsay VW was still able to be extremely aggressive with pricing and we DID get a truly phenomenal deal on our new car.....but WITHOUT the games or uncomfortable back and fourth banter. (imagine that?!) It was the first time I've ever purchased a vehicle that didn't leave me feeling uneasy or wondering how screwed I'd gotten in the process. I actually smiled throughout the process, start to finish! AMAZING! Anyways, purchasing my new Toureag at Lindsay VW was a very positive experience for me and I would happily recommend them to anyone in the northern VA area in the market for a new (or used) VW. Furthermore, Megan Klein was a true pleasure to work with and I absolutely recommend her as well. Not sure if it was her infectious smile, her unwavering patience with our indecisiveness, or that familiar feeling like we'd known her forever-- but she was truly fantastic to work with and I can guarantee that anyone lucky enough to have her for their salesperson won't be disappointed. Throughout the entire process, she never missed a beat and really did work to get us what we were looking for at the price we wanted. One month later-- I couldn't be happier in my decision to purchase my new Toureag!! Love the vehicle and it really does live up to (and exceed) every expectation I had. Overall, I'd give my experience at Lindsay a 10 out of 10 and hope that, based on this review, I can send some more business their way. Cheers! :) More
I bought my new Jetta about 2 weeks ago now and I couldn't be happier! The whole experience with Lindsay was great and everyone I came in contact with was very helpful and friendly, especially Megan. couldn't be happier! She made the process completely painless and always had my best interest in mind. She really listed to what I wanted and helped me pick out the best car to meet my wants and needs. I know virtually nothing about cars and she was there every step of the way answering my hundreds of questions (of which I'm sure many were annoying) until I felt comfortable enough to make my decision. If I hadn't felt that comfort level there is absolutely no way I would have purchased anything at all. So a big thank you to Megan for putting up with me! :) I'm so thrilled with my car and proud to be part of the Volkswagen family now! More
I contacted Edmunds.com to get an idea of VW car dealerships in Northern Virginia (new to area). The other two VW dealerships sent me a list of inventory thru email, Marc Weinstein sent me a person dealerships in Northern Virginia (new to area). I was so impressed I called him, scheduled an appointment and bought the car that same weekend. The VW Lindsay dealership and Marc Weinstein was my best experience buying a car (it's also my second Passat). More
Over Labor Day weekend, I was planning on purchasing a new car. I was deciding between a Civic, Scion, or Jetta, but it wasn't until I met Marc that I was sold on the Jetta SE. He did a great job thorough new car. I was deciding between a Civic, Scion, or Jetta, but it wasn't until I met Marc that I was sold on the Jetta SE. He did a great job thoroughly explaining the car's many features, and then testing each one out on a joy ride. Also, his genuine demeanor and great personality made my family and me feel comfortable that we were make an excellent decision purchasing a Volkswagen. I will be giving his name out to any friends or family members looking to buy a Volkswagen in the future. Thanks Marc! More
This is our second time buying a car from Lindsay VW of Dulles. Just like last time, we left extremely happy. As soon as you walk in the door, you feel like they really care about you and want to make you Dulles. Just like last time, we left extremely happy. My husband has already told several friends and family members that he feels like they treat you like royalty when you go there- unlike any other dealership that we have ever been to. There is no pressure from anyone, just a friendly and helpful atmosphere. Trent Norris was amazing, friendly, calm and not pushy in any way. He answered all of our questions, and was very patient while I was trying to decide between the Jetta and the Tiguan. We ended up choosing the Jetta, and he went through the car part by part to explain how to use everything. Trent was also very efficient- my husband loved that about him. We felt like our time was important to them and he tried hard to get things done while we were waiting for other things. We could not believe how quickly we were out of there with our new car, especially considering we had to do the trade-in process on our Eos as well. Larry Schiro was great as well. By far the best finance person we have ever dealt with at a dealership. Again, no pressure, no pushing- he just gave us the information that we needed and and amazing rate. We did end up buying a few extras, but we did so happily:) (Speaking of- we highly recommend the road hazard (tire and rim) insurance if you drive roads with pot holes. We had it on our Eos, and after the 18 months that we had the car, it had paid for itself with all of the pot holes in the area.) Bruce Desimini was also very friendly when he saw us in the dealership. Alan detailed our car for us and did an amazing job as well! We will be (and already have) referring Lindsay VW of Dulles to all of our friends and co-workers, and we will be back there for our future cars as well! More
Mike was extremely knowledgeable about my pre owned Passat. Mike explained to me that the car had been in an accident.
