Went to the dealership just to get a better look at the car I had in mind, test-drive it, and get a trade-in quote for my old car. From past experiences with other dealerships, you always have to stand around and wait for someone to even notice someone new walked in; at Lindsay, that wasn't the case. Marc was also very knowledgeable about his cars, regardless of model or trim; I typically do a lot of research before I look at a car, so a car salesman who knows his cars shows me that he cares about his product and stands by it. If I had heard "I don't know" or some misinformation about a car I've previously researched from a salesperson, I would've probably walked out shortly after. After discussing the two vehicles I had in mind, we were shown the exact colors they came in, what they looked like in person, and all of the various options available for each model; Lindsay VW has a lot of stock and it's really nice to see the exact car and color you'd get before you commit. At this point, we went in to get an estimate on my old car. I have gotten a few price quotes from dealerships before and was very unhappy. I told Marc my baseline and remarkably, he came back and honored it (is this a first or what!). This was a great display that they truly cared about winning business and earning me as a life-time customer. Now, I was ready to make my decision and test drive the cars; as my original pick, the Passat TDI won over the CC. With color and trim in mind, it was a matter of seeing what deal on the new car we were going to get. Marc was an honest guy, pulled up all of the numbers from various resources - internal and external - and gave us quite a deal! The price on the new car was below where I was expecting it to be, I got my desired cost on the old car - it was a win-win situation. A simple test drive turned into a purchase. Marc wasn't pushy, wasn't arrogant, and was very customer-service oriented - this is a huge differentiator in the sales world. With Marc, I felt confident that I was making a great decision and that I was taken care of. I would buy another car from him again. More
