Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealer. This place goes back to the dark ages when dealerships(stealerships) worked to earn their reputation. I'd rather walk than buy anything fro dealer. This place goes back to the dark ages when dealerships(stealerships) worked to earn their reputation. I'd rather walk than buy anything from this place. I discovered the Tahoe it had NOT been certified as advertised and told by sales mgr. Before I brought the truck , the dealership assured all issues, (uneven worn front tires changed out and issue causing this addressed, all fluids, filters & oil changed, etc), and certification would be taken care of. They lied. I called in a complaint to GM Exectutive Offices, who assured all issues would be addressed/investigated by another dealership. I agreed. Libertyville Chevrolet dealership was where I was to take my truck. On the day of my appointment at Libertyville Chevrolet, I was met by a "service writer" who was three months new to his job. I gave my list of the items that GM Exectutive Office wanted addressed/investigated by the this dealership. I showed him the front tires and uneven wear and bad tread. The service writter was an idiot. I requested for the service mgr., "Jacco" to call me. He never did. After they had my truck a few days, I was told all items were addressed and the truck was now certified. I observed the tires had not been switched out? The service writer said GM could not get the prior dealership to pay for the cost and the tires and were the same tires, but, the oil & filter were changed! GM serpentine belts are good for 100,000 miles and mine was fine, other filters were not changed, fluids for the 4WD were all fine and not to been changed for at least another 35,000 miles. GM Executive Offices passified me by wanting to issue three oil changes and three tire rotations to close complaint. Friends of mine with a tow company in town knew "Jacco" suggested I talk to "Jacco" about my concerns. I tried. He was always out of the office and I had requested by office staff to leave left a voice mail. I requested "Jacco" to call me, left a few messages for him. Never heard from him. After a few months an oil change was due not because of miles but of time past. I was met by ANOTHER new service writter, Mr Baker, who was awesome and seems to know his job. He informs me I need a new set of tires, change transmission & diferental fluids and need a new serpentine belt as mine is cracked??? He offered me a deal to repair all items. Unreal. After a couple months, I heard a really loud banging near the area of my front passenger side tire and the fire wall? I called Baker and dropped off my truck. I told him it didnt sound like a belt but was unsure what it was? Baker contacted me the next day told me it was the serpentine belt. I was not impressed with their know what a bad belt sounds like! This was more. I informed him how a few months ago, Libertyville Chevy had "certified" my Tahoe and I was told the belt was fine and good for 100,000 miles. He said it needed to be changed as it was worn and cracked and offered a deal on fluids and new tires again. I had him relace the belt for $270.00. At 7pm that night during a snow storm, I had one of my friends drop me off to pick up my Tahoe. I was issued my keys and told it was parked along a fence. I walked all over the parking lotin the dark, in a blizzard and now I walked all along the fence looking for my Tahoe. It wasnt there. I entered a fenced/closed area off the parking lot where I discovered my Tahoe parked? I started up my cold truck, pushed over a foot of snow off my Tahoe, put my truck in drive, drove it five feet and heard the same knocking and banging sound again!! They hadnt fixed my Tahoe. I was angry. I paid for a belt which I bet the belt was good. I tried to call "Jacco" who blew me off AGAIN. I wanted my money back. I took my truck home, put it in my garage and tried to find another dealership close by. There arent any. Most of the Chevy dealerships have closed. Later I took my Tahoe back to Libertyville Chevy. Baker called me. It was the rear differental (sp) that had gone out and prior to calling me, they began fixing it under the warranty the parts still had on it. When I picked it up, Baker now offered me a percentage off for fluids and new tires! Unreal. Oh, I got a call from Jacco! He was rude. Couldn't have been more unhelpful if he tried. Refused to give me my money back for the belt. Told me his machanics drive all the cars they service before and after and there was no way I didnt need a new serpentine belt. when asked what hie machanic was doing driving my Tahoe for four miles and never heard the knocking and banging caused by the rear differential going to heck, he said his "machanic didn't hear it." I tried to speak to the two owners of the dealership. One, Brett Matthews, was on spring break vacation and the other one, Jim Spellman, tried to call me back once. I returned his call, left a voice mail, he never called back. I spoke to GM Executive Offices, Mr Amois Keys, for resolution. I was offered three oil changes and three tire rotations!!! Note to self: don't buy a GM product then you'll never have to waste time and money with their dealerships or service departments. More

Eric greeted me on the service drive and immediately got a technician available to me to explain my problem. Jeff Hein the technician was very attentive to my description of the problem. I was advised it was necessary to leave my vehicle and would be called within a few hours with a diagnosis. Within 2 hours I received a call from Eric that they had diagnosed my vehicle and ordered the parts necessary to fix it. The next day I picked up my vehicle and it has been great since!! Thank you Eric and Jeff and Libertyville Chevrolet for the excellent service. I will definitely be back for service and will be referring friends!! More
I went into the service department on a Saturday afternoon at 4pm. I was visiting family in the area and went searching for help with what I believed to be a leaking tire. Steve Baker addressed my afternoon at 4pm. I was visiting family in the area and went searching for help with what I believed to be a leaking tire. Steve Baker addressed my issue immediately and I was on my way within the hour. He and the Service Tech were professional, courteous and expeditious. Job well done. It turned out that the tire was not damaged, just low. In fact they all were. Dan brought them all up to the proper inflation levels. Steve would not charge me for the work, even when I pushed it. He said that since they did not actually "fix" anything, he did not feel right about charging me. Honor and decency are sadly rare in the world of car dealer service departments. Fortunately, they are alive and well at Libertyville Chevrolet. More

I asked my brother, who lives in Libertyville which dealership he might recommend and he indicated that Libertyville Chevrolet had a very good reputation locally. I took him at his word and took my car to the dealership for service. My first impression was excellent as the service writer immediately indicated that a loaner car would be available to me while my vehicle was repaired. He did this without any hesitation. My Tahoe was covered under a service warranty thru AutoGuard, which the service writer handled entirely, eliminating any issues of paperwork and explanations to the insurance company. They repaired my four wheel drive, replacing the encoder motor for the 4 wheel drive engagement and it came in real handy recently here in Virginia when we received a record snowfall. It has not failed since and I am consequently very satisfied with the work done. The service tech also found a leak in the HydroBoost power brake unit that I was aware of, but had not made the service technician aware of, which I thought was a real nice catch. Libertyville Chevrolet took care entirely of the insurance claim on this as well. They additionally checked over the entire vehicle for any other issues and provided me with a detailed report at no additional cost to me. I had them perform some much needed 50k service items that were in the list items that would require service soon. I was very aware of the state of my truck as I have friends that own a service station and work as certified auto technicians here in Virginia who have had the truck in for inspection on a number of occasions. Libertyville Chevrolet was very accurate and thorough in their assessment of the service needed for the vehicle. The people at Libertyville Chevrolet were very pleasant to work with, the service was top notch and done correctly and thoroughly the first time (Always a good thing!). This was by far the single best experience I have had at ANY Chevrolet dealer, and I have owned Chevrolet cars and trucks for more than 20 years, so that is saying quite a bit. More
After many years of myself and other family members puchasing Chevrolets at another Chevrolet Dealership I noticed as well as another member of my family changes in the attitude of the sales department puchasing Chevrolets at another Chevrolet Dealership I noticed as well as another member of my family changes in the attitude of the sales department and the service department. I purchased a car that had window weather stripping problems. This dealership replaced it 4 times and my drivers side window was still coming out of it. It was recommened to me that I go to Libertyville Chevrolet. I got to Libertyville Chevrolet at about 3:45PM where I was greated by Giaco Fuentes and he told me that I should go into there waiting room and he woulg get back to me. Giaco Ruffolo asked Danny their Technician if he would stay because his shift was over and look at my car because he was very knowledgeable on Chevrolet Cobalts. What they found was terrible. The entire fix from the other dealership was wrong and make shift. When they had everything apart they should me what they did and I was shocked. They gave me a loaner car which was even equipt with an I pass!!!! Rigo told me that he would call me by 10:00AM the next morning and let me know what was going to happen with my car. Before 10:00AM the next day I received a call that my car was ready! I was in shock and so happy. What they did is over nighted the needed parts and fixed the window the way it was meant to be done from the factory. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP THAN LIBERTYVILLE CHEVROLET!!!!!! More
Bought a brand new Chevy Truck from them. They put swirls in my truck from their "scratch removal" technique. Also ripped out my carpet to replace a speaker and failed to put it back the way it was before. E in my truck from their "scratch removal" technique. Also ripped out my carpet to replace a speaker and failed to put it back the way it was before. Ended up having to replace the carpet because the old piece was stretched and would not fit properly. The irony? The punk kid who went to get my new truck from Wisconsin for the dealership cranked the bass up to the max. I had no idea the settings had been messed with and played music for a few months, which made me have to get the speaker replaced...and then the carpet replaced. I would not recommend. More
