I would definitely recommend this dealership. I'm a first time buyer (new traverse). I wanted more info on the Vehicle and they gave me what I wanted. I'm loving our new Traverse. this is why I would rather time buyer (new traverse). I wanted more info on the Vehicle and they gave me what I wanted. I was at this dealership on 4/29/10 and test drove a 2006 Nissan 350Z with 43,000 miles on it. I had a few things I wanted fixed on the vehicle so I talked them down from $16,900 to $16,000 and signed a PUR Nissan 350Z with 43,000 miles on it. I had a few things I wanted fixed on the vehicle so I talked them down from $16,900 to $16,000 and signed a PURCHASE CONTRACT/BILL OF SALE for a total of $17,505.94 (tax, title etc. included) with the agreement that they would fix the problems I noticed on the car. They ordered parts the following day and expected to get them in from Nissan on 5/4/10 and would take a day or so to fix and then I could pick up my car. I then insured the car on 5/3/10 so that it would be ready to go for pickup on either 5/4/10 or 5/5/10. I called the place on 5/4/10 to get an update and they stated that they sold the car on Saturday 5/1/10 for more money to someone who didn't want the things fixed that I had listed in my contract. They NEVER called to tell me they sold the car. I went on with normal business and researched extended warranties as well as call up and insure my car with Geico. The salesman didn't even have the guts to call and tell me he sold it behind my back even with my contract! Talk about a coward! I signed a contract that only the dealer could back out of! How shady is that! I spoke with a friend that is a car salesman and he said that is very shady and that no respectable dealership would allow that. I just hope they make up for what they have done, they owe me big time. If there is a prime example of unethical business, this is it! 5/21/10: I was contacted by Libertyville Chevrolet and offered $100 for my troubles and $1.97 to compensate for the 1 day of insurance I paid on the vehicle that I was never "officially" sold due to some loopholes in the contract I signed. Due to the lack of prompt communication and an overall shady deal gone bad, I respectfully declined the $101.97 offer. I'll let the consumers decide for themselves when reading both my response and the dealer's response. At a minimum, it is good for consumers to know that even by signing a contract, they do not officially own the car and it is not held for them. If you want to avoid this type of problem, you apparently have to put a down payment on the car even though they do not tell you this. By not putting a down payment on the car they can sell it to anyone else who offers them more money (a great situation for a dealer to be in, not the buyer). I don't think this type of business practice is common, but it happened to me, so buyer beware... More

I would recommend family and friends to do biz with these guys. I will again. I'm looking forward to working with there High Performance service guys they have on staff there in the future. Will bring my Vette in there too. I sense this dealership recognizes that a customer will not remember in the future what was said or what the details of the deal were, but they know the customer will always remember how they felt about the experience. Jon Berna, Doug Nykel, and Justin Fullmer all made it a great buying experience for me. Good guys all around. More
First, let me start out by saying if you loved Pontiac and are disappointed the brand has been discontinued, consider the 2010 Chevy Malibu. I just purchased this car and I love it! And if you are in th and are disappointed the brand has been discontinued, consider the 2010 Chevy Malibu. I just purchased this car and I love it! And if you are in the market for a new Chevy, your best place to shop is Libertyville Chevy. As someone who did his due diligence shopping around, nobody was as courteous and professional as the team at Libertyville Chevy, not to mention their willingness to negotiate a great price. There were some other things that really stood out about Libertyville Chevy: I sent Internet quote requests to 20 Chevy dealers in the Chicagoland area. About half of them don't give a number at all, just a reply that states "let's set up an appointment." And out of the other half that do provide a quote, Jon Berna gave the best quote out of all of them. If you're shopping for a new Chevy, make sure to include Libertyville Chevy in your process. Their willingness to negotiate was greater than any other dealers in the area. I went there 3 nights in a row after work and kept getting better and better each time. Other dealers I went to couldn't match this dedication and you will get the best price at Libertyville Chevy. I have a GM credit card where I've accumulated a cash back rebate. When I purchased my new Malibu 1LT, GM didn't authorize the full amount I earned. I was obviously upset, but Scott (general mgr.) called GM on my behalf and worked it out with them. Every last penny I earned as a rebate was rewarded and this was because Scott cared enough about my situation that he made sure I was taken care of. This is customer service that can't be matched. They offer a "tires-for-life" program. That's right, when your tires start to get old and need replacement, they will give your 4 new tires for free. Just maintain (oil changes, tire rotations, etc) your vehicle at their service center and you qualify! All-in-all, I'm sure there are some other good Chevy dealers in the area, but nobody is better than the team at Libertyville Chevy. From selection, to price, to their customer service, you won't be disappointed. More
I am a pain in the butt customer. I wanted something very specific and I would accept nothing less. They not only found the car, went and picked it up in another state and then they were nothing less but excited for me to receive the car of my dreams. They were, at every moment of this process, courteous, helpful and accommodating. I will recommend this dealer, and especially James and Brad to EVERYONE I meet. Kimberly Braden More

I asked my brother, who lives in Libertyville which dealership he might recommend and he indicated that Libertyville Chevrolet had a very good reputation locally. I took him at his word and took my car to the dealership for service. My first impression was excellent as the service writer immediately indicated that a loaner car would be available to me while my vehicle was repaired. He did this without any hesitation. My Tahoe was covered under a service warranty thru AutoGuard, which the service writer handled entirely, eliminating any issues of paperwork and explanations to the insurance company. They repaired my four wheel drive, replacing the encoder motor for the 4 wheel drive engagement and it came in real handy recently here in Virginia when we received a record snowfall. It has not failed since and I am consequently very satisfied with the work done. The service tech also found a leak in the HydroBoost power brake unit that I was aware of, but had not made the service technician aware of, which I thought was a real nice catch. Libertyville Chevrolet took care entirely of the insurance claim on this as well. They additionally checked over the entire vehicle for any other issues and provided me with a detailed report at no additional cost to me. I had them perform some much needed 50k service items that were in the list items that would require service soon. I was very aware of the state of my truck as I have friends that own a service station and work as certified auto technicians here in Virginia who have had the truck in for inspection on a number of occasions. Libertyville Chevrolet was very accurate and thorough in their assessment of the service needed for the vehicle. The people at Libertyville Chevrolet were very pleasant to work with, the service was top notch and done correctly and thoroughly the first time (Always a good thing!). This was by far the single best experience I have had at ANY Chevrolet dealer, and I have owned Chevrolet cars and trucks for more than 20 years, so that is saying quite a bit. More
This is the second car I have purchased from Doug Nykel at Libertyville Chevrolet. The first one was a used car and this one is a new one. I was very impressed the first time because Doug asked me some q at Libertyville Chevrolet. The first one was a used car and this one is a new one. I was very impressed the first time because Doug asked me some questions to understand what I was looking for and only showed me cars that suited my needs. He did not waste my time. So, 3 years later, when I was interested in a new car, I knew who to go to. Again, Doug helped me find exactly the car to suit my needs. The next step was the paperwork and financing, and I was very impressed with David Rubin's dedication to finding the best financing for me and to making the paperwork portion smooth and comprehensible. At every step of my visit, I was treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism by everyone at the dealership, including the owner. I gladly and enthusiastically recommend Libertyville Chevrolet to anyone. More

I purchased a car that had window weather stripping problems. This dealership replaced it 4 times and my drivers side window was still coming out of it. It was recommened to me that I go to Libertyville Chevrolet. I got to Libertyville Chevrolet at about 3:45PM where I was greated by Giaco Fuentes and he told me that I should go into there waiting room and he woulg get back to me. Giaco Ruffolo asked Danny their Technician if he would stay because his shift was over and look at my car because he was very knowledgeable on Chevrolet Cobalts. What they found was terrible. The entire fix from the other dealership was wrong and make shift. When they had everything apart they should me what they did and I was shocked. They gave me a loaner car which was even equipt with an I pass!!!! Rigo told me that he would call me by 10:00AM the next morning and let me know what was going to happen with my car. Before 10:00AM the next day I received a call that my car was ready! I was in shock and so happy. What they did is over nighted the needed parts and fixed the window the way it was meant to be done from the factory. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP THAN LIBERTYVILLE CHEVROLET!!!!!! More
