Scammers and Crooks Worst car buying experience ever. I live in Wisconsin and Libertyville is 2 and a half hours away. Because of this, I worked with them for two days prior to making the drive down giving them numerous photos of the interior and exterior of my car as well as the VIN number so they could make an educated guess on a trade-in value. They gave me a trade-in range of $3500-$5000. With my budget and money down they said we could absolutely make a deal, and I drove down. Arriving at the dealership, I asked if we could talk numbers first to make sure we were all on the same page. I'm glad I did. 1. They tried to charge a certification fee that was not included in the sticker price of the vehicle. This fee was $2,500. Not once in my numerous phone calls was this fee mentioned, in fact, it is not even listed in any of the fine print on the website. I asked to talk with the manager and he stated they had been doing this for three years or more because if they included it in the price, no one was coming into the store. Umm, so you lying about your prices to get people to come here? 2. They never even looked at my car let alone test drive it and were attempting to offer me $1500 for my trade-in. They finally after much grief from me raised this to $3000 after still not even looking at my car whatsoever. But even that slight bump in trade in cannot combat this random certification fee of $2,500. 3. We finally agree to a deal, and I go to take a look at the car I'm going to buy, I turn the ignition on and there are not just 10-100 extra miles than advertised, but a whopping 10,000 extra miles than advertised. Back into the dealership I go and they refuse to budge on the price. 4. Overlooking all of that, I decide to give it a chance. Probably mostly because I didn't want to drive away empty handed with an extra 300 miles on my car. So the finance guy to put the cherry on the cake prints up the original deal where they were offering me $1500 for my trade. Keep in mind, by this time it was after closing and my salesmen, Ray the magic man had gone home after we agreed to the price because, "his job was done" Ultimately the finance guy said there was nothing he could do and we left at 10:30 at night for our 2 and a half hour drive back to Wisconsin. Please do yourself a favor and do not go to this dealership. At the very least ask if the particular car you are interested in has a certification fee. More

False Advertising Went to look at a car advertised on Cars.com and their website, and after agreeing to a price and handing over credit card for deposits, the purchase Went to look at a car advertised on Cars.com and their website, and after agreeing to a price and handing over credit card for deposits, the purchase contract returns with a price MORE than double the advertised price. I get a load of BS about how its to cover the "certification " of this 15 year old car (which isnt legit-can't have older cars certified ) plus other charges. The car was advertised for a price on their own website plus other outlets for $3k and I would have paid that, plus the taxes and registration fees, but not the false additional fees. Truly mislead by the false advertising by this deslership. Wasted a day and have a bitter taste with them muchless Chevrolet dealers in general-hadn't been to one in 10 years and surely don't have a reason to visit another one anytime soon. More
Horrific experience Had the worst experience I've ever had today at your dealership. Called about a 2006 dodge ram diesel was told it was in great running condition etc. Had the worst experience I've ever had today at your dealership. Called about a 2006 dodge ram diesel was told it was in great running condition etc. Drove 90 minutes each way and had to bring someone with me as I was a buyer. Arrived there truck had rust that was poorly touched up, looked past that took the truck on a test drive and went to test 4x4 and the transfer case failed. Leaving us to have to wait for our salesman to come pick us up in another truck. I decided to call it a fluke and test drive another truck. The 2010 Sierra we test drove started misfiring, and chugging a block after we left the dealership on the test drive. We bring it back and finally about to leave they bring out a fully loaded ltz avalanche take that for a test drive, the automatic running boards were broken needing new motors, the interior lights would not shut off meaning bad sensor in the door, and on top of that the on board air compressor for the shocks was constantly running meaning the air shocks were leaking and the system needing replacement. I liked the avalanche and told them I'd purchase it if the few things were fixed. We went inside to talk numbers, this is where I gave them my offer and such. Salesman said sales manager declined fixing repairs. I asked to speak with sales manager who was extremely rude. Stated he can't take any money of the sticker price or fix anything needing repairs. He was well aware that I drove 90 mins and test drove 2 trucks already 1 in which left us stranded. Sales manager had the "I don't care" attitude. For someone that purchases numerous vehicles a year I am extremely disappointed in the experience especially at a chevrolet dealership. The salesman I worked with was the only reason I stayed as long as I did. As far as customer service goes the sales manager had zero service. Then to top everything off they didn't even look over the two broken trucks they just put that back in the front of the lot. More
High Pressure, waste of time Couldn't find car, smelled terrible, no fuel. Passed on car and asked about a second car. Could not answer questions about the car. Liked the car, Couldn't find car, smelled terrible, no fuel. Passed on car and asked about a second car. Could not answer questions about the car. Liked the car, made an offer of -500 on a 10,000 car. They came back with more add on costs of $2800, without coming down. No dropping price at all and wasted our time. Felt like a scam. Would never go back and not recommended at all! More
