I found Liberty Mazda through Auto Trader and I have to say overall I was pleased with my experience. The sales men were not overly "Sale-sy" and everyone we talked to was fairly helpful. I ended up bu say overall I was pleased with my experience. The sales men were not overly "Sale-sy" and everyone we talked to was fairly helpful. I ended up buying the first car I test drove after many, many test drives in other Mazdas and similar models by Honda and Toyota. One thing my dad and I were not happy about is that they hid the fact that they do not negotiate price. We were under the impression that we could make a lower offer and try to get a price I was more comfortable with. However, the sales manager was completely unwilling to budge on the price, even after days of waiting. I later found out my car was well below market price so I guess in some ways I feel better about my purchase but still...Liberty needs to be more upfront about price. Another issue was the financing. I already had amazing financing set up with an outside credit union and the financing guy at Liberty told me he could do even better. This was not true. I ended up using my own financing and am very happy that I did. If you're looking at buying a Mazda do your research and consider Liberty because they have a huge selection and their customer service is great. If you want a salesmen who isn't pushy or annoying ask for Michael! He's great! Summary PROS -Excellent Customer Service -Fair Prices -Big Service Dept. -Lots of Mazdas CONS -Does not negotiate price -Not always upfront about policies and financing More

Worst dealership I have ever been to . Salesman didn't know the cars and all he cared about was pitching window etching. Never gave us a number for our trade. And to top it all off when he gave us didn't know the cars and all he cared about was pitching window etching. Never gave us a number for our trade. And to top it all off when he gave us his card, he scratched out someone else's info and hand wrote his in. Wrote a complaint to the dealership, but they offered me nothing to come back. Stay away! Go somewhere else! More
Visiting this dealership was one of the worst experiences ever. First off, I set up an appointment with them and when I came in it was like I just decided to waltz on in. They didn't have me scheduled, didn't know why I was there, they didn't even know my name. Second, when they did find out what was wrong with my car, they ordered the wrong part! Third, once they received the correct part and finished installation, they took so long with the paperwork. They asked me if I wanted it to be faxed to me since I had to go back to work and so I agreed. I had to call back 3 times the NEXT DAY in order to finally receive my paperwork. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. The only upside is the service rep, Amber was very friendly, and Eric was also pretty helpful attempting to get things sorted out, but still was one of the worst experiences I've ever had to fix my car. I recently, Feb. 2013, bought my first new car, a Mazda2, and it’s exactly the car I wanted and I couldn’t be happier with any automobile. Mazdas get the highest ratings from what I read and I give Liberty M and it’s exactly the car I wanted and I couldn’t be happier with any automobile. Mazdas get the highest ratings from what I read and I give Liberty Mazda the highest rating for a car dealership in Connecticut or, I should think, anyway. Ken Hicks is the gentleman who sold me my Mazda and, over the phone, I told him specifically what I wanted for a car and how much I wanted to pay. And when I went to see Ken, I got just that and more. Ken is personable, genuinely interested and concerned that his clients are treated as they want, and should be treated, and buy the car that fits their needs. Ken steered me to a Mazda2 and in minutes I?was steering this fantastic work of automotive excellence around the Liberty Mazda building. That was all the test drive I required. It a few days I became the proud owner of small and cozy, teal color, standard shift Mazda2, smart and striking. My Mazda2 handles superbly on the road and I feel comfortable and safe inside it, and I’ll give my new Mazda2 the care and respect it deserves for many miles and years to come with the help of the service people and auto wizards at Liberty Mazda. The price was less than I expected and the features are more than I expected to enjoy! I hope anyone who’s going to purchase a car has the same kind of excellent buying experience that I had. More
Our salesman, John Stowe, was easy to work with, which made our purchase very smooth. We had one small concern, and a manager named Jose immediately had it addressed. made our purchase very smooth. We had one small concern, and a manager named Jose immediately had it addressed. More
My experience was most pleasurable. I have been very aprehensive about buying a new car. My last experience, at another dealership, was very difficult. I went to Liberty Mazda (in Connecticut) from my home in Massachusetts to purchase a used hardtop Miata, since there are relatively few in the New England area. I found their unwillingness to negotiate on Massachusetts to purchase a used hardtop Miata, since there are relatively few in the New England area. I found their unwillingness to negotiate on price frustrating--they played a bit of the game where you say "this is too high" and then they make you wait 45 minutes until they come back and say "no." Especially given the length of my drive, I felt they didn't respect the effort I had put in. In the end, they offered me a fair price, but certainly not an excellent one. I was also somewhat frustrated by their service. Since I'm from Mass, we had to do a more complicated transfer of title, and since I purchased towards the end of the month they pushed very hard for me to drive the car off the lot in a two day window. This was very difficult, and when I drove down to get there at 9am I needed to wait the entire day for registration--they nearly sent me home in a rental car. While I was happy that they would have paid for a rental, I felt the communication was extremely unclear, as I never really got a sense of how things were progressing and what to expect. Finally, I felt like they inadequately prepared me for some of the details of used car ownership, since this was my first "real" vehicle purchase. For instance, they didn't tell me to get my vehicle inspected within 7 days--I had thought this was done when they registered the car. These frustrations have mounted up, and though I'm thankful I received the car that I did at a fair price, I felt I might have been better served waiting more. I would say this dealership is certainly better than some, but does not lead the pack. More
Darold was more than accommodating in showing me the ins and outs of the dealership as well as my new Mazda 3. Darold helped me sync my iPhone to the Bluetooth in my car and did an amazing job meeting every and outs of the dealership as well as my new Mazda 3. Darold helped me sync my iPhone to the Bluetooth in my car and did an amazing job meeting every need I had. Darold and liberty worked hard to make this the easiest car buying experience, period, which is something that I appreciate from being in the military. Work smarter not harder, and that, Darold did. We went to Liberty Mazda with one pre-owned vehicle in mind. That one did not turn out, but Ken Hicks worked patiently with my husband and me to help us select the perfect vehicle for our family.
