I purchased a vehicle online near Seattle and needed a service center to give the vehicle an inspection as I live in a different state. After a phone call and quick chat with Eric I realized I found a gre service center to give the vehicle an inspection as I live in a different state. After a phone call and quick chat with Eric I realized I found a great spot. I couldn't have asked for better service as Eric and his service team did a full inspection on the vehicle and had multiple phone calls with me regarding the vehicle, what work might be needed and the overall condition of said truck. Perfect service and worth every penny. I wouldnt' hesitate to use them again in the future, in fact I'm a little bummed I don't know of a service center near where I live that is as honest and communicative as Eric and his team at Liberty Bay. Kind and cool and straight shooting workers there in the service department are exactly what anyone would want. Thanks again for the help. More

I always thought Liberty Bay Auto was an honest auto repair center. We took our Audi TT in which we bought last fall. They asked if we had been here bef oreand my husband said no but the prior owner h repair center. We took our Audi TT in which we bought last fall. They asked if we had been here bef oreand my husband said no but the prior owner had. We needed an oil change and when he picked up the car they said we need new tires and all 4 brake pads were at 3 or 4 mm. My husband took it this morning to Les Schwab in Poulsbo and they said we have 5 mm on all 4 brake pads and our tires are fine too. It was very disappointing to realize they are not as trustworthy as I thought. Just do your own due diligence. More

*Warning* Fraud, bad management (Jarret). Do business here at your own risk. On October 12th, I took my Ford Focus here to get the transmission reprogrammed. After a day, they said they Do business here at your own risk. On October 12th, I took my Ford Focus here to get the transmission reprogrammed. After a day, they said they had completed the reprogramming and performed a system update. (refer to the attached receipt). After that, they said the car still drove rough and they found metal debris in the transmission fluid. Their recommendation was for a new transmission at a cost of $8,150 + Tax + $1,850 labor. I was surprised, so I spoke with the mechanic that worked on my car. He told me that these cars do have lots of problems (despite them having 2 Ford Focuses on the lot they would be happy to sell to uninformed customers) and that I will unfortunately need a new transmission. Obviously, that is a lot of money to spend, so before I paid $10,000 dollars, I was going to get a second opinion. I'm sure glad I did. I had All About Transmissions & Automotive in Bremerton look at it. They said that the transmission had never been updated or reprogrammed. After they did that, it worked perfectly. The total bill from them was $381.83...sure a lot better than $10,000+ dollars. Finally, when I called back to get a refund from Liberty Bay, I was informed that their manager would call me. After several days of waiting, I decided to file a credit card dispute to get my money back. Finally, Jarret, the service manager, called and told me that they would "cut me a check" (rather than just refunding my credit card...odd). The next day, he left me a voicemail explaining that they would have to wait to send a check due to the credit card chargeback, but if I wasn't refunded via credit card they would send a check, likely within a week. I then found out Liberty Bay disputed the dispute, therefore attempting to cancel it--while at the same time, not sending me a check like they promised. I attempted to get in contact with Jarret by calling several times, conveniently every time he had "just stepped out of his office" or "was in a meeting." So, I decided to stop by and discuss it in person. Again, Jarret conveniently was nowhere to be found but "would be with me shortly." This entire time forcing his employees and I to awkwardly wait for him to emerge. After he finally came out, he then explained to me how what I was paying for was for his mechanics time, not for any actual fixes...despite the receipt (which is attached) stating that they completed reprogramming of systems and updated systems--which I confirmed is work they DID NOT do. As for the metal debris, I drained the fluid myself and even kept it for them to see--surprise! No metal debris to be found. Jarret refused to look at the bottle I brought in but did say "well it is brown, meaning you have a bad transmission!" Regardless of whether or not that is true (it's not true), the receipt from Liberty Bay says there are metal debris in the fluid, which there isn't. Not to mention after it was reprogrammed by a different shop, it works perfectly (attached that receipt as well). Finally, Jarret accused me of breaking the law by filing a credit card dispute. When I asked him specifically what law I had broken, he told me to leave. If you do business here I would be highly suspicious of them actually doing what they say they're going to do--such as changing your oil or any other fluid. How do you know they did what they said they did? If you find out they didn't perform the work, good luck getting your money back, especially if you paid with cash or debit card. Word of mouth spreads fast in a small area like this. After being in business for so long, you would think they would realize that misleading customers isn't the way. More
