I had a very misleading and frustrating experience with Liberty Auto Plaza. Before making a 90-minute drive, I spoke multiple times with someone identifying himself as “Jack” from the finance department Liberty Auto Plaza. Before making a 90-minute drive, I spoke multiple times with someone identifying himself as “Jack” from the finance department. He called and texted repeatedly and positioned himself as the person who had personally secured my approval. He told me I was already approved up to $35,000 (including tax, title, and fees) and that I was simply coming in to pick out a vehicle and sign paperwork. He even had me send over my driver’s license and pay statements ahead of time “to attach to my file” so everything would be ready when I arrived. I made it very clear that I did not want to travel that far unless this was legitimate, and I was reassured multiple times that the bank had already approved me. As soon as I texted “Jack” to let him know I was on my way, he stopped responding completely. When I arrived, I was told to ask for “Jack.” There was no Jack. Instead, I was handed off to a salesperson named Quinton, who asked me to provide all of the same documents again. While sitting with him, I began receiving multiple alerts that lenders were pulling my credit — confirming that my credit had NOT been run prior to my visit, despite being told I was already approved. During this process, Quinton had an earpiece in and was having unrelated conversations about personal matters while asking me questions. I had to repeat myself multiple times just to be heard, which made the entire experience feel even more unprofessional. Shortly after, I was told that the “approval” had been reversed and there was nothing they could do. This was clearly not a real approval — it was simply a tactic to get me into the dealership. To make matters worse, I had already clearly explained: I do NOT have a co-signer I can NOT get a co-signer I only have $1,000 to put down After a 3-hour round trip, nearly $100 in gas, and lost time from work where I would have otherwise made money, I left with nothing and feeling completely defeated. What makes this even more frustrating is that there were vehicles on the lot priced around $12,000 — and even with those options, they were still unable to structure a deal based on the terms I had already disclosed ahead of time. That tells me this was never a legitimate approval to begin with. If this is how Liberty Auto Plaza chooses to begin a relationship with a customer — through misleading information, lack of transparency, and wasted time — I would strongly encourage others to proceed with caution. Over paid lease by $100 or more a month for a Kia K4, currently paying $416 for 36 months for a base model. This was with a $1000 down and an only $250 trade in for my 2010 Jeep Liberty. They didn't take currently paying $416 for 36 months for a base model. This was with a $1000 down and an only $250 trade in for my 2010 Jeep Liberty. They didn't take time to review my DD214 to get the $500 Veteran discount. Next time I will use Chat GPT or Google Al to look up a proper lease amount. They got me at the right time when I was also getting taken advantage of by the Nissan dealer owned by the same company. Nothing worse than knowing I got ripped off. Lesson learned I guess, a very expensive lesson. More
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! Upon purchasing our Kia Soul back in April 2025, we were promised the 1st 2 oil changes free. I reconfirmed that fact later when taking a friend to Upon purchasing our Kia Soul back in April 2025, we were promised the 1st 2 oil changes free. I reconfirmed that fact later when taking a friend to look at a new Kia. 4 months ago Holly in Service said she talked to Chad and reconfirmed as well. When it came time to actually collect my 1st oil change, no one would confirm or honor it despite my repeatedly being assured at time of purchase it would be 'in the system' and not an issue. Empty promises and you get 100% ignored after sale. I've left repeated voice mail messages to not only the Sales Manager Chad (who never called me back much less answered the phone whenever I called). Even the service manager didn't bother to call me back from my voice mail and the service writer Holly just transferred me to Chad's voice mail instead of working to get this honored. I won't be giving this dealership my funds for service after this and I will now recommend AGAINST instead of for this dealership for any friends and family in the future. HUGE fail because from Liberty Kia as I was ready to make them my service dealership the next 10-15 years after my 2 free oil changes I was promised but NOPE, they had to be petty and ignore and refuse to honor their promise. Sad thing is I had no problem collecting my 1st 2 free oil changes at the former Chevy dealership I purchased new from nor any issue collecting 2 free oil change from a former VW dealership. Mind you It was offered to me at time of purchase and I didn't ask for it but to offer than and not honor it is a very bad way to retain a customer! More
There are so many issues with this dealership but first and foremost, they're so corrupt that they're being investigated by the FTC. The sales people make not attempt at professionalism whatsoever. M first and foremost, they're so corrupt that they're being investigated by the FTC. The sales people make not attempt at professionalism whatsoever. My transmission on my 2018 Sentra went out at 79K miles, as Nissan is supposed to be a decent car and I asked service to reach out to Nissan North America (NNA) to see if they would help cover some of the cost. I followed up directly with NNA and discovered that they hadn't. I opened the case and then notified service that I was waiting to hear back. Liberty Nissan refused to return NNA’s calls and when they finally did reach someone, Liberty Nissan said that they hadn't looked at the car. (They'd had it for eight days!) I also had emailed sales on day one to tell them that I would probably buy a different car if Nissan didn’t help with the repair. I included Liberty Nissan's stock number for a car that I was interested in and asked to coordinate with sales so that I could handle this expediently. I reached back out to sales repeatedly, not one single call, email or chat message was responded to. I had previously discussed having it towed elsewhere with NNA and they asked me to go ahead and do that because Liberty Nissan was just too difficult. When I called, I was understandably furious. Joel, (a supervisor) was just yelling over me and he said that I never signed something to have them look at the car. I had been in constant communication with service the whole time and it was the first that I'd heard of that. They also had originally promised me a loaner-I have a long term illness and need to get to the doctors but I also have very specific nutritional guidelines that I follow. However, once I opened up the support ticket with Nissan, Liberty Nissan took the loaner off the table and left me stranded. Joel also told me that the reason sales wasn’t returning my calls/messages is because I wasn’t their problem. I had literally dropped a sale in their lap! Joel also indicated that he was punishing me because AAA had told me the car was there a day before they actually dropped it off. It was the fault of the tow truck driver but Liberty Nissan took zero responsibility for not telling me that they couldn't locate my car. He was mad because they looked for the car for (his swear word) hours”. How is it my fault that they didn't tell me that they couldn't find it? Anyhow, I can't even say that these guys only care about making money but apparently, that's not what motivates them to be in business because I was certainly ready to spend some! More
After wasting hours out of my day texting Jack “the finance manger” about a lease on a murano which I believe the deal was to good to be true I asked for a bill of sale in which he never provided just finance manger” about a lease on a murano which I believe the deal was to good to be true I asked for a bill of sale in which he never provided just keep insisting I drive 2 hour to the dealership. So there can do a bait and switch on me like the multiple reviews I seen on BBB. After seeing I wasn’t coming into the dealership without a bill of sale they cease all contract with me and ignoring all my texts. No dealership will do this if I’m willing to pay what you say the is. Prime example of bait and switch in the works. More
Emailed and spoke to salesman about a used car on the lot. Salesman couldn’t not answer all questions and said he’d get back to us. Never called, texted or got back to us.
